The problem with that attitude is that the republicons win the sleaze-athon hands down. The last time I looked 18 out of 22 members of congress that were under investigation were republicons. 2 years ago that figure was 14 out of 17. That was why Gonzales fired all of those DoJ lawyers. They were busting too many of his cronies.

And this is the "moral majority" that is doing all of the howling about scandals.

Anybody remember Livingston and Gingrich?

Persecuting Clinton while they were screwing around too? Might as well change the name of the party to Grand Old Hypocrites.

It was not cool, that they glorified how McCain and his wife, Cindy met, considering that he was still married at the time. I realize that he is sorry for what he did to his first wife, but it was still not cool to act as if it had been a sweet thing.

And I say this as someone that is working on an article about why I have come to the point of voting for McCain.-

Debra, you seem like a nice person. You are searching for what you think is right. However, I challenge you to ask yourself, as a Christian, Is it okay to invade a country and kill thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians? Christians say that they are pro-life. Well, the Republicans have no problem creating unnecessary wars and not only putting our own soldiers at risk but killing many innocent civilians. Please watch this and do some soul searching. You must first click the confirm age button. Thank you.

Yes, and if the either Obama or Biden had had a daughter who was 17, and was 5 months pregnant, you can imagine what the Republicans would have said about that.

"Another failure within the liberal landscape...is it no wonder this country's going sown the drain?"
And yet with Palin's pregnant daughter, it's almost celebrated by the Republicans...-

I would never vote for McCain because he is a hypocrite who betrays our military. And he is a military man running on his military experience, so that makes him an even bigger arsehole.
He voted AGAINST troop funding.
AGAINST armor for the troops
AGAINST equal leave
AGAINST VA funding five times
and he could not even bother to show up to vote on ten different Bush-War votes.
Oh, and he was against the New GI Bill because it gave our soldiers who are risking everything `too much opportunity`.
McCain is one cheerleader who needs to be retired.

The whole cheating thing isn't a deciding factor in my vote. I have been married twice, cheating is not the worst thing that a man (or a woman) can do to their spouse. I have read studies that show that more than 70% of us have cheated on our spouses. I wouldn't think that my politicians would be any different. I have said it before and I will say it again, both good and bad, nothing that has ever happened in my bedroom has EVER effected my work.

Maybe you (and John McCain) can justify your infidelity by claiming that 70% do it and that it doesn't affect your work, but that doesn't make you (or McCain) any less of a slimeball. If you (and McCain) are so willing to lie to the one person who is supposed to be the most important person in your life, how trustworthy can you be on any other matter dealing with less important people.

First of all, I have never cheated on my husband, nor has he cheated on me. Infidelity is a fact of life, it always has been and regretfully, it always will be. Secondly, it isn't the worst thing that can happen in a marriage, it isn't the most devastating, and there are far worse evils commited by politicians than infidelity. And finally, I am an Obama supporter, I have been an Obama supporter since before he began is his bid for presidency.

I do not have a swayed opinion whether the politician is Democrat (Clinton) or Republican (McCain), his fidelity to his wife, does not effect my vote. -

They can't figure out why we would not elect a politician who can do the job just because he likes women.

A few thoughts:
It's only politics; not a blood sport.
We're electing a Prez, not a patron saint. Whoever gets elected will at times have done things that violate (in no particular order) good sense, civility, and perhaps the moral beliefs of large numbers of people. It's just part of the human condition. For people to breathlessly shout from the rooftops that "person X did one of these things!" is not particular news. It's a definition of person x as a real person.
We've come a long way in our views on the marriage relationship. In retrospect, JFK (while in some ways a pretty good Prez) doesn't seem to have done well on the marriage front. Once upon a time, being divorced basically precluded a viable major canididate (Nelson Rockefeller) from even being one. Not too much later, it didn.t keep Ronald Reagan from being elected. Seems like most of the electorate has made a decision that what happens in a marriage shouldn't affect a man's/woman's right to be Prez (Bill and Hillary are married to each other). Makes we wonder why all the outrage about McC or Edwards.
We've all heard from a certain group that "Marriage is just a piece of paper." Though personally I disagree, they may be speaking truth as they see it. So natually, I'm sure that none of them are among the group that are calling out McC for his actions.
Not saying that what a candidate has done in his/her life doesn't matter. But maybe we should be using more discretion, introspection, and temperance before we start throwing accustions everywhere. -

Poor Rush, can't please everybody.I guess when your as smart as he is the Dems & dummers feel left out.All you have to do is listen, but first shut up, you may learn somthing .Don't you think that Obama wouldn't stutter so bad if he knew what he was talking about.Maybe if he had counted all those red states, and then added those five blue states he would have come up with fifty states, instead of fifty seven

There is something wrong with the thinking processes of anyone who thinks that their party is exempt public scrutiny, while having more to hide than anyone else in the country. Republicans are obsessed with Liberal sex.. it's just that simple.. i wonder what they think libbies do that's any different than what they do?

The reality is.. we could care less what anyone else does, but the right has made sex in the liberal camp a personal issue, to the point of paying millions to find out about it. How many millions has the left spent to find out about the sexual habits of the right?? last i heard it was 0...We just wait and let them hang themselves, it doesn't take long.
