Yes, good job brownie! When will you be apologizing for this one?:

When will you realize that your smears have done more to help McCain and Palin than they have to help Obama and Biden?
When will you post a story about Obama's failures? (Suggest Grove Parc)
When will you try to learn about fairness?-

Palin is new on the scene;
Reply
The other 3 in the race have been in the spotlight for months ( or years ).
While it is better to be saying good things about one's candidate, than bad things about one's oponent, -
it is fair to examine Palin the same way the other candidates have been examined.
Unless you are going to tell us that her church has no bearing on her beliefs...
Now see? You just learned something about fairness.-

Yes, I understand that Palin is new on the scene. I fully support investigations of her record. Since the story I highlighted above, posted by Aidenag, is about Palin being her own child's grandmother, it does not fit the bill. It's sole purpose is to fling mud. What are your thoughts about that story? What are your thoughts about fairness related to that story? Do you support a scout posting a story such as that one? I will believe you know about fairness if you answer these questions.

Decent questions, Lovemylibs:
Reply
I strongly oppose bringing in references to children. Kids are off-limits.
Affairs are relevant as character issues; when provable .
The opinions of a candidate's church are valid to discuss (but fataly easy to distort).
I do not hold scouts up to higher standards; they can do whatever we can do.
And all we can do, is hold ourselves up to the standards we value.-

CRVM, then, in the spirit of fairness, how about an examination of Obama/s beliefs (not his church, his personal beliefs.)
Reply
It just might be, except for the abortion/birthcontrol subject, that Obama agrees with her, IE, has the same religious beliefs that she does. But do we know???-

Remember when Paul, being his own lawyer,
appealed to Caesar?
Strategic mistake.
You have appealed to the spirit of Fairness.
Ok.
The test of fairness, is when you affirm
it, for an opponent.
Tell this forum when you have affirmed
fairness for Barack Hussein Obama.
Specific examples, please.
'Fairness' is justice, Karisa.
And the God of Justice is not lightly invoked.

I've defended Obama on several issues. Rev. Wright, stategate (# of states), the attacks on Michelle, to name a few. I have stated these defenses on more than one thread. Almost every time I defended Obama I was negged more than pos'ed. Back when you could still see who did the negging and pos'ing, the negs almost came from the more liberal posters here. So, in the spirit of fairness, I conclude that my "whining" is warranted. I also conclude that Palin has been unfairly attacked by both the mainstream media and some of the scouts on Propeller. I mention the scouts only because these same scouts did some "strategic whining" about the attacks against Obama.

Why should he apologize? He just posted the story. And I love that you are now crying about smears. McCain has done nothing but smear Obama from the beginning. You are just now getting a taste of your own medicine and you don't like it very much do you?

I think Democrats would much rather play fair, but Cons won't allow it. Just like Fox News thinking they had the bull by the horns when they, yet again, started trying to trash the Democratic Party by bringing up the Edwards affair.. all the while ignoring the affairs and indecency in the conservative camp..
Reply
lovemylibs, you all want it one way, YOUR WAY.. Life doesn't work like that. I don't understand the whole thought process for conservatives. You think it's all good to dish it out, but we're low down dirty dogs when we give it back to you. What does it take to make you understand?-

Klarissa, unlike Cons, Libs do not assume their candidates have the exact same values as they do. I seriously doubt you are going to find someone to speak for Obama, perhaps you could look into him and see what he has said himself rather then what Cons have said for and about him?

Klarissa, maybe you should be asking yourself this.. what is McCain's beliefs? You belong to the religious right, yet Mc doesn't even have a minister, doesn't attend church, had to go out in search of a religious endorsement, only to have to denounce his own pick..
Reply
That's telling about Mc's ability to pick the best people to support, endorse and to be his VP.. It's not our fault that Mc is inept.. just ask Mc what his beliefs are. -

Keep up the good fight Aidenag. I know it's not easy to always find yourself fighting fire with fire all the time, but hopefully the payoff will be worth it.

You're going to catch a lot of flack from people who would prefer that you sit back and let them run over us rough shod, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. They have all but destroyed this nation, and we're going to take back our country, if they don't like it, they can leave!

JOE BIDEN: PATHOLOGICAL LIAR AND FRAUD: It was also discovered that, while at Syracuse Law School, Biden had plagiarized a law review article in a class paper he wrote.
Biden said the act was inadvertent due to his not knowing the proper rules of citation, and Biden was permitted to retake the course after receiving a grade of F in the course.
Biden also released at the same time the record of his grades as an undergraduate which were C's and D's and an F in ROTC during his first three semesters.
Further, when questioned by a New Hampshire resident about his grades in law school Biden had claimed falsely to have graduated in the "top half" of his class, (when he actually graduated 76th in a class of 85-

Joseph Biden's Plagiarism; Michael Dukakis's 'Attack Video' – 1988
Feeding Frenzy Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden Jr., a U.S. senator from Delaware, was driven from the nomination battle after delivering, without attribution, passages from a speech by British Labor party leader Neil Kinnock.
A barrage of subsidiary revelations by the press also contributed to Biden's withdrawal: a serious plagiarism incident involving Biden during his law school years; the senator's boastful exaggerations of his academic record at a New Hampshire campaign event; and the discovery of other quotations in Biden's speeches pilfered from past Democratic politicians.-

"...it's conceivable that He could just as easily, for example, raise up a revived, prosperous and powerful Communist Russia with a web of alliances across the Middle East. And our gas pumps would go dry. The dollar would collapse. And the markets would crash. The kayak could go upside down. And it could happen in a matter of weeks. That could happen. It could happen by this fall."

Biden graduated 76th out 85 from the law school at Syracuse. He is on record, of course, as saying he graduated in the top half of his class. Either he is a liar or he failed math.
