Brilliant advice, from the master, no less. Thank goodness neither of the candidates made the mistake of bringing that kind of marginal executive experience to their ticket.

I challenge Charlie Gibson to play a clip from this video during his upcoming interview with Sarah Palin...and then turn to her with a sweet smile and ask her opinion.

Hasn't anybody noticed yet that the phrase...'Executive Experience" is going to be placed in the right wingers Holy Book of Idioms. It will be placed with great reverence next to the other holy idioms....Mission Accomplished... Preemptive invasion...War on Terror...War on Drugs...Terror Alert...Your doing a Heck of a Job..and others. Rest assured it will be done with the appropriate dignity that it deserves.

That's Rove's take on it, and one can't ignore it completely. However, to completely accept it, one sort of has to go along with the rest of the premises that he runs elections by. Which not all people do.

Having spent the larger part of my life living happily in rural small towns that are not nearly as large as Palin's, I tend to get aggravated at those who knock it. Let them have the pleasures (?) of living in places like NYC, Chicago, or DC.
The story is told of a woman who had two sons. One became an orchestra conductor and was known and loved thoughout the world. The other became vice president of the US and was never heard from again. Historically , the office of VP has been a place tto hide people away. True, Mr. Cheyney has tended to redefine the office; but IMHO that's more due to the inadequacies of Mr. Bush than any inherent power that it may have.-

It would be nice if the person you where picking to be the Vice President at least knew what the job entailed.

And with as old as John is I really would want someone in that position who is ready to do the job of President on day one and not one who will bring her religious beliefs to shove down my throat.
