Grades do not measure intelligence. There are very intelligent people who do poorly in school. Law school is selective. You have to be intelligent to get accepted. Law school verses journalism school, hmmm, yes there is a diffrerence. Law school is far more rigorous and competitve than journalism school.

Everyone has an opinion when it comes to politics. People think they know all the answers because they have an opnion. Do we think the same way about other professions? Do you pick a doctor because he tells you what you want to hear? Do you want a teacher who challenges you or makes you feel good?

We have already experienced eigtht years of an egocentric poltician running this country fueled by popular opinion.

I will take any of Obama's advisors, namely men like Fareed Zakaria (Oh no!, another foreign sounding name)and Robert Reich (and be sure men like William Ayres and Jeremiah Wright will not be among them) over the current staff or anyone McCain (see i.e. Phil Gramm) has advising him. Presidents are made, not ready-made creations. Really did GW Bush seem so bad upon election? He was known as the "uniter" in Texas. And if you watch his speeches from that time he seemed almost reasonable. But add **** Cheney to the mix and all of the sudden this once reasonable man seems like a tyrant (which he has never of course truly been). Biden nor anyone else apparent among Obama's advisors holds any such aspirations.

And you are right, intelligence does not necessarily make for a great presidency. Jimmy Carter was one of our most educated presidents. Nor is experience a predicator of success, see James Buchanan.
