    Helping your fellow man is a very commendable trait to have. And so is growing up in a small town and getting to know most everyone in that community.
    But a VP or even a Presidential candidate should also have experience in big cities and cosmopolitan areas too. Should also have some experience outside of the country and around the world. A more than provincial attitude and exposure to outside of small town life might be a good thing to have in a person whose decisions affect more than just small towns.
    Being from a small town and reflecting it's virtues is great but being exposed to more than that environment would be even better.
