Obama wouldn't visit troops without media coverage. Rather shoot some baskets.

  You do realize that he "shot some baskets" WHILE visiting troops, don't you? That footage was FROM A VISIT TO THE TROOPS.

      The Pentagon asked Obama not to visit because it is against policy to use a military hospital as a backdrop for a political campaign, regardless of if there were cameras there or not.
      
      The thing is, if he HAD visited, you would be the first to scream that Obama was using the visit as a cheap campaign ploy.
