Posted By Neophile 1 year, 2 months ago in News

Gov. Sarah Palin used state funds in June when she traveled from Juneau to Wasilla to speak to graduating evangelical students and urge them to fan out through Alaska "to make sure God's will be done here."

    My only hope is that the sane,rational voters in this country stop and shut their eyes and think of this woman with the launch codes just inches from her fingers thinking Gods talking to her.

    LOL gosh she went and saw Christians and asked them to PRAY!

    Obama prays all the time he even says God Bless America at the end of his speeches. How outrageous. Will you still vote for him?

    "Leighow compared Palin's prodding of the young evangelical students to her attending the 2007 installation of Rabbi Michael Oblath at Congregation Beth Sholom in Anchorage."

    Duh...one's a rabbi, a religious man; the other's a state governor. One talks about his God to other jewish graduates while the other talks about her God and her God's plan for Alaska and a pipeline in her capacity as Governor of the State of Alaska to graduates from a religious institution. If you can't see the difference, then you're brain dead.

      Neophile does it again. A hit piece on Gov. Palin. Keep them coming neophile. The more of them the more the rebound against liberals there will be. It seems that the nationsl leaders are figuring this out already. The more they piled on in the Dinosaur media the mor the polls went to McCain. The people see who and what she is and the more vicious the attacks the better she looks to the people. Many of these attacks like this one are seen as shallow.

        So she spoke to a group of graduating evangelical students and you didn't think she would or should mention the word pray? The Senate, where Mr. Obama is supposed to have an office opens each session with a prayer. Where or what did this harm? That she dared to actually visit a school to talk? She suggested prayers? Every president has closed with "God Bless America." in speeches and address before congress, is that now forbidden? I think the left needs to stop looking for dirt where there really isn't any and start looking for reasons we should actually consider voting for Obama. His weak resume, lack of any leadership and his general "messiah" comments have damaged him far worse that telling a bunch of churchy school kids to pray for a pipeline.

        I just heard that she is now trying to change all homosexuals to heterosexual with the power
        of prayers in Alaska! Wonder how that will go. And NO I'm not gay. But come on people,
        prayers won't stop wars, change water into wine, or make everyone into a clone of whatever
        she wants. All of Alaska can pray to their hearts content about anything she desires the
        'perfect world' to be, but it is just not going to accomplish anything. I guess she forgot to
        pray that her **** daughter wouldn't get knocked up. Surely it would have done the trick, ya
        think?

        She is planning to start with her husband so she won't have to share her daughter's boyfriend.

        Meanwhile Cindy McCain always checks out Palin's ass as she walks by. I originally thought that McCain picked Palin to appease the Holy Rollers, but perhaps he is working on a three-some.

        (sorry about the four letter word guys, it just slipped out) --- but check this out; What if she and McCain actually did get elected and then they went on a diplomatic trip to Iraq. Would she
        bring her prayer club with her and start praying and preaching publically to the Iraqis?? I just
        don't see them suddenly seeing the error of their ways and bowing down to her for making
        them 'see the light' through prayer. They seem to be pretty much set in their ways and it would
        probably really tick them off even more! But if all the gay people actually become straight
        real soon because of Alaskan prayer, then heck, maybe we should send her over there!

          Actually the management that Bush sent to Iraq was limited to those that passed the Roe vs Wade test. They didn't have any arab language skills, didn't have any experience, but brought with them 75,000 Baptist bibles.

          Are you better off now than you were under Clinton?
          As for security:
          Who would have guessed that attempting to turn over our Port Security to an Arab country (who sees bin Laden as the only legitimate ruler of Afghanistan) and who provided most of the passports of the 9/11 hijackers.
          Who would have thought that moving funds from the major American Cities to places that the terrorists could find on a map would protect America.
          Who would have guessed that having porous boarders and encouraging illegals to enter to provide low cost labor was the way to protect America;
          Who would have guessed that failing to protect the Levies of New Orleans was the best was to protect America;
          Who would have guessed that sending troops into battle without protection and telling them do dig deeper in the junk piles of Iraq if they wanted better armor;
          Who would have guessed that DISREGARDING Clinton's administrations warning about bin Lade was the best way to protect America.

          Ms. Rice, what was the title of the CIA report that you disregarded?
          "Oh you mean: Arab terrorists planning to hijack American planes and attack American cities?
          What about it?"

            Wrong,iF Mccain/Palin were by some way to get elected(lets hope not for this
            country's sake)then we are all doomed. More Bush failures everywhere- economics, rights,and freedoms gone, way bigger government and most important Supreme Court appointees. These right wing nut jobs will appoint anti freedom anti american judges who will continue to destroy the U.S. constitution. But you right wing nut jobs do not seem to care about America. That is ok. Hopefully there are enough true americans(anybody but a republican) who will vote for what is right. Btw, Bush has not kept us safe from anything, because of Bush there will be more terrorist attacks in America.

            People like Palin scare me. I have no problem with them pursuing their own beliefs. However it is part of their religion that they have to impose their belief on everyone else. They call themselves Pro Lifers when really they are Anti-Choice. They act on their choice but no one else can have that privilege. The writer who compared them to Jihdists isn't so far off the mark at all. I just hope in the coming weeks she puts her foot in her mouth once too often so people can see who they are electing.

              WE MUST FINISH WITH THIS KIND OF ATHEIST AND COMMUNIST COMMENTS. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS A JUDEO CHRISTIAN COUNTRY. AS CHRISTIANS, CATHOLICS, JEWS, ORTHODOXS, ETC. I agree with the person who wants church and state to be seperate. If not, we run the risk of becoming like some Islamic country, where the Koran is the law of the land. Religion can be a very positive force, but please keep it out of government.

                Same old rhetoric. … from the Dems and liberals that is....
                This entire one-sided article is about 8 mns. of an old speech, which no one has a recording of.

                And oh my!! She spent $520 on one round trip... Gee, that's BIG news. No one has said (that speaks the whole truth anyway) she walked 10 miles to her office, barefoot in the snow or something.

                I wonder what Obama, Biden, Clinton and more in Government have spent tax dollars on? We should go through all these others stuff with a microscope too. Care to make a bet on who has wasted more?

                Come on, it's obvious by the new poll results that people aren't buying witch hunt fanatics attempts to trash candidates on a personal level and are seeing through the Bush scare tactics too.

                Sarah Palin is not for the big oil companies at all. She went after them and won. She also ran a boat load of corrupt politicians out of political office along the way. She balanced the state budget too by taking special interest groups to task and vetoing wasteful spending.

                That is more like it!
