What's the Difference Between Palin and Muslim Fundamentalists? Lipstick »

Posted By Neophile 1 year, 2 months ago in News

John McCain announced that he was running for president to confront the "transcendent challenge" of the 21st century, "radical Islamic extremism," contrasting it with "stability, tolerance and democracy." But the values of his handpicked running mate, Sarah Palin, more resemble those of Muslim fundamentalists than they do those of the Founding Fathers. A theocrat is a theocrat, whether Muslim or Christian.

To be fair it's not just lipstick, it's the burqa too.

Palin is a kook from a podunk. She's parading like she has values, but keeps making lies. She never has time to respond to a lie because... she tells another one.

Can these Republicans be trusted after the Bush disaster? No way.

Obama has placed his foot directly into his mouth. The question is, was it premeditated? Was it in direct response to what Palin said regarding a pitbull with lipsitick???

Regardless, it still will not go over well, especially with the women voters he seeks.

Senator McCain is making real ground....Obama is trying to react cooly and calmly..but then again maybe not so much..

All the polls from the last 2 weeks show that McCain is gaining.

Last time the word Lipstick was used was by Palin at the RNC during her acceptance speech. Coincidence?

    You decide!

I am giddy with excitement over the question that is posed in this story:

"What's the Difference Between Palin and Muslim Fundamentalists?"

Answer: We liberals are more scared of Palin.

Palin believes in home schooling, no choice for women who have been raped or victimized, no sex education and no condoms, weird science, hunting down animals and mooseburgers. We can ask the Taliban if they would like her to have a position in Afghanistan's government. If the Taliban say no as well, then we know there just is no job for her in any government where she can implement her ideas.

Since this is a joke of a thread:

    The Catholic Vote: "Knock, knock!"
    Obama: "Who's there?"

The Catholic Vote: "The Catholic Vote!"
    Obama: "The Catholic Vote, who?"

    The Catholic Vote: "Exactly!"

Obama said nothing UNTIL Palin went after Obama with lies in her very first Republican speech. I know what's going to happen now. People are going to say Obama/Biden have to go easy on Palin cause she is a woman.
While Palin can slam/lie about Obama all she wants.

As a woman myself, all I can say is if Palin can dish it out, she should be able to take it. If the McCain camp is going to be upset about a lipstick comment, how's Palin ever going to face world leaders we disagree with like Putin and Ahmedinejad, who are already laughing about Palin as a VP choice?
Palin is not Hillary, and she will never be.

The article is so right, this should be given in the national media. However by attacking the Islamic Fundamentalists one should be careful not to alienate them away from Obama, in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio where they are a very crucial minority. One should narrow down these fundamentalists as Wahhabi, Jamat-e-islami or Al-Qaeda.

The more I get to know Palin the more she worries me. Originally I thought it was a good refreshing pick, but lately I'm just not sure any more. I'm happy that she has fought against corruption, something DC needs, but she just comes off as a little too religious. I think the separation of church and state is important and must be upheld, but I don't know if she can hold back.

This is what I like best about liberals. When their back is against the wall, just prior to when the Fat Lady sings, they dutifully, magically--and with aplomb--completely self-destruct.

I live this lipstick BS that's going on in the cable networks.

Besides the faux outrage, it's bad to use lipstick and pig, but ok to use lipstick and bitch?

There's always a reason to duck real issues in the Con Culture of Lies and Incompetence.

"...First Amendment's establishment clause, which forbids the state to give official support to any particular theology. "

That's odd. The last time I checked, the Establishment Clause forbids CONGRESS from establishing a religion through legislation. If enough people say it the way they WANT it to read, others start to believe it, but the truth is the First Amend. NEVER forbids the state from giving 'official support to any particular theology.' Read it.

I don't think the muslims speak in tongues like Sarah Palin does.

But like the Muslims she would prefer a theocracy in America.

And back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. ....

            And back and forth.

When it comes to voting, the sad truth is that the issue, finally, isn't the issues, but with whom one identifies.

And in that regard the dice have been already cast for most Americans (who vote).

So let's keep the vitriol and the often paranoiac attack (as in aniokly's posts) down to the dullest roar.

            It's fun to vent, but....
