Former Republican senator and current Obama supporter Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island said that John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate, not only revived the lackluster McCain campaign, but also energized the left. He also called her a cocky wacko.

Well Mutainia, Palin is highly associated with groups that plan a theocracy in America and which belierve that all american jews should move to Palestine. Is that what you are aiming for?

Palin's Churches and the Third Wave

Sarah Palin's churches are actively involved in a resurgent movement that was declared heretical by the Assemblies of God in 1949. This is the same 'Spiritual Warfare' movement that was featured in the award winning movie, "Jesus Camp," which showed young children being trained to do battle for the Lord. At least three of four of Palin's churches are involved with major organizations and leaders of this movement, which is training a young "Joel's Army" to take dominion over the United States and the world.

Chaffee needed another 15 minutes of fame. So, he's trying, only it turns out to be 1 minute.

RI, isn't that a bit like Delaware, you could put both states in the Juno city limits!

Like Bush, Palin's not exactly an intellectual giant. As I listened to her answer Charles Gibson's question on the Bush Doctrine I immediately thought of this video from the 2007 Miss Teen USA pageant.

Hey Senator McCain if you think Sarah Palin is intellectually qualified to be Vice President why not Miss South Carolina? She is even younger and prettier and we all know that Americans really like blondes.

Mr Chaffee everyone in Washington knows that you are mentally ill. Unfortunately you didn't do even a reasonable job as a Senator for your people to they got rid of you. It is however understandble how the Democrat (in their usual fashion of seeking out the weak) would pick up on a poor under appreciated guy like yourself and sadly cause you to make another sad example of your poor judgement. You see Sir I used to be a proud Democrat until I began to see the only thing they had going for them were they are good "LIARS AND HAVE ADVANTAGES WITH AN CONTROL LIBERALOF THE MEDIA"

Now why would the giant corporations that provide our cradle-to-grave state propaganda have any interest in being "liberal"? They make far greater profits with far less work from being part of the corrupt military-industrial-media complex.

poor grammar and disorganized thought aside, if one is going to call "liberals" liars who control the media (at least i think that's what thisismycountry attempted to say), one should provide examples to back their statements. what lies are we talking about? and what example of controlled media is there? when confronted with their own lies, republicans sputter and squirm and make up another lie to back up their previous one. then that rotten ol' "liberal media" goes and backs em up without ever putting their feet to the fire. if you want lies, how about checking off every whopper spoken by mccain and palin since her announcement? as for those liberal lies.... well.... i'm waiting.

And really does it make sense to attack a sovereign nation that was itself attacked (this admitted by the Georgian leader)? Is she really ignorant of that fact? Or that this is basically a territorial dispute. Perhaps the response was a bit heavy handed but is it worth provoking an attack that brings about MAD? Or even to provoke another missile crisis?

"F'" on your first assignment Sarah!

I'm trying to figure out what you said. Yes, Georgia is a sovereign nation and was attacked by Russia. If anyone came in to help Georgia defend itself from Russia, then that would be military assistance. The two little territories within Georgia are not sovereign but are part of Georgia (thanks to Russia when it was communist). Russia's excuse was that Russian citizens were in danger because Georgia went in and tried to stop the secession/rebellion. If those 2 provinces were actually part of Russia, you can be sure they would not be allowed to secede (from Russia). It's like the roach motel - you can check in but you can't check out. Georgia (as it turns out) should have let them go and they would now be checked into the Russian roach motel. I think you get an "F" too but can't be sure what you said. Palin gets a "B".

Well tired, lets assume that you are actually interested in learning something rather than just chanting slogans. First some history.

Georgia was part of Russia from the 17th century onwards. Its present borders were drawn by Joseph Stalin and designed to repress the Caucasus region to prevent uprisings - for example, that is why Ossetia was split in half with Spouth Ossetia included in in the Georgia administrative district of the USSR.

When Georgia became independent in 1991, both Abkhazia and South Ossetia objected so strongly to being included in Georgia that they immediately went to war and won their liberty. Niether of them has actually EVER been governed by the Georgian government.

So, first question. With the breakup of the USSR, would you deny to Abkhazians and Ossetians what you think Georgia should have - namely the right to their own liberty and independence, especially since they fought a war of independence to achieve those freedoms?

                        The Story of Tskhinvali's Resistance

When Georgian forces moved into the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali on Aug. 7, they underestimated the Ossetians' determination to resist them. Young men opened fire with Kalashnikovs and teenagers hurled petrol bombs at tanks. Now the local Russian-sponsored regime is triumphant.

Excellent rebuttal. But certainly they don't want to see the true history of the region. Palin, and in turn her supporters are uninformed reactionaries. The current term for that idealogy is neo-conservatism. Still my favorite quote:

If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely, and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy but just wage a total war, our children will sing great songs about us years from now.
                            Richard Perle, leading neocon

I am sure he is a Palin supporter as well....this is their true agenda. What they would like to be doing....

That all makes some sense except the Georgian leader admitted he made a crucial error in judgement. If we go around defending nations that take such erroneous actions we are fools. Of course your neocon tendencies make you such a person by default.

A "B"? Are kidding? You don't know the answer, you don't get credit. You answer incorrectly thats a mandatory deduction. But you expect no real answers from this woman, she is your darling. She can do no wrong and can suffer no attack without you rising to her defense. It is complete insanity. You previously complained about the same treatment for Obama but he has taken a brutal beating of late, most of it completely malicious and non-factual in nature and has sat down for numerous one-on-ones. Although Biden is known as a poor debater she will not be able to hide in their debate and her flaws should become obvious by that time. .

And you do understand what MAD means? That is Mutual Assured Destruction and that is still the reality if we confront a nuclear power. I doubt Sarah understands this. It would certainly have been my follow up. Cannot even imagine this woman handling a situation like the Cuban Missile Crisis. Don't want to imagine such a scenario. She is far different from Obama who is a thinker, not a reactionary.

She never said we would invade Russia. Nobody did. The question is whether to invite Georgia and the Ukraine to join NATO. Nukes have been pointed at each other since the 1950's. It's called mutual assured destruction or some such thing. The idea is that you don't want to send a nuke to the other guy because they will automatically retaliate by nuking you and both are totally destroyed. Something that we thought was being removed when the evil empire (Soviet communist empire) fell. Now Putin (former KGB communist) is trying to restore the empire and there goes nuclear disarmament and peace. The big goal is to stop and disarm all nuclear weapons. Iran, North Korea, Syria and Russia are helping to keep it going.

If Russia actually invaded any NATO country (the U.S. and almost all of Europe except far eastern Europe) they would theoretically be counterattacked and then invaded by all NATO countries. There is some question whether all NATO countries would actually uphold the NATO charter and do that. Russia hates NATO because it was started in the 1940's to counter Russian aggression and takeover of Europe. Russia figured it could invade a small former Soviet country and get away with it and they did. Probably, if Georgia already was a NATO member, Russia would not have invaded them. If they did, it is questionable whether NATO would go in and face Russian tanks and troops because of the small size of Georgia. I would say it would be likely but in any case Russia's economy would be broken because of world sanctions and bad press. Note: Georgia was the birthplace of Josef Stalin.

Well tired, you are aware that many European countries concluded that Georgia was NOT a serious candidate for inclusion in NATO for two reasons. Georgia´s borders are not established AND Georgia does not meet the standards for democracy required by NATO.

Stuffed ballots, biased campaign tainted Georgia vote: OSCE

Ballot-box stuffing, beatings of opposition activists, biased news coverage and government officials campaigning for President Mikheil Saakashvili's party tainted Georgia's parliamentary elections this year, Europe's main election watchdog said on Tuesday.

Would you really want to take on "responsibility" for a "leader" as much an ugly authoritarian as Saakashvili?

                          Georgian Opposition Urges Saakashvili's Ouster

Georgians are tired of the extremism of Saakashvili and call for his ouster. Whispers of discontent first heard during the early days of the war have grown louder and bolder.

Or tired, you do know that there were several hundred international observbers on the Ossetia border before the war started? They were unanimous in asserting that Georgia attacked first and committed war crimes. And, by the way, just to do away with the silly GOP-DEM screaming matches, Republican Dana Rohrabacher said the same in our House of Reps a couple of days ago.

Europeans Blame Georgians for Ossetia Conflict

European observers have faulted Georgia in this month's Caucasus conflict. OSCE military observers said Georgia invaded and described war crimes by the Gerogians.

Would you really want to take "responsibility" for a tyrant like Saakashvili who thinks murdering hundreds of what he calls Georgians is the way to construct a country?

Then tired, you do know that a majority of the Ukranian population say they do NOT want to join NATO? So far they have proven themselves smarter than Georgians. Probably because they know that NATO would be a disaster for their country. Crimea also was part of Russia for centuries, was only split off and put in the Ukranian administrative district by Stalin and contains a majority Russian population. Ukranians seem to be smart enough to understand that ******* off major parts of your population to do the bidding of neocons in the US is not a very good idea.

I counted 6 articles about Palin on the first page of propeller. All are essentially hit pieces against her. In this one the title is hard to figure because inside it says:

"--I don’t think that Palin is a wacko. I will say that judging by what we know about her so far, she seems to be a typical mindless neo-con drone.--".

Not very complimentary. Sort of like "the typical white woman" (Obama's Grandmother afraid of blacks) or small town Pennsylvanians (clinging to their guns and religion) Obama likes to characterize. No surprise Chafee switched to the Dem party. He fits well into the lib attack smear machine. A has been who doesn't have any conservative principles. What were the Rhode Islanders thinking when they elected him? Oh, I know, it's the family name. I know a lot of Rhode Islanders. They all escaped from there long ago and live here in the West.

I like Palin and will think over her inexperience in world politics vs. McCains great knowledge of same and Obama's inexperience and shaky knowledge of foreign policy. Figuring in the chance of McCain or Obama dying in office it's a tough call. But Biden has always been a jerk and is no. 3 liberal in the senate so the call seems easy.

Overall a pretty dumb article and another waste of my time.

Lincoln Chafee became a Senator upon the death of his Father, certainly explains his ability to sort things out and define the abilities of the Alaskan Governor Palin, whohad to fight her way to the top.

Chaffee did not say she's a whacko -- quite the reverse! Why don't you all read the actual article (its less than a page). And who ever put the title up there must be a Republican operative -- no one could be this dumb by accident.

Hey, gee, I know,,,, lets find someone with an axe to grind or only people that don't like Sarah Palin (or don't know anything about the real her) and then we can make believe we are non-biased commentators and news reporters doing a serious article reporting the "real" news.

Ahh gee, golly, we can't pull out that old mudslinging trick, again, the bum who dragged Chafee out beat us to it!
