The McCain campaign will continue to tell half-truths, distort facts, and blatantly lie because that is the only way to keep the focus off the real issues that he is so weak on. While we are mired in Iraq for the foreseeable future, Afghanistan is slowly slipping back to what it was at the time of the Sept. 11th attacks, and our economy is deteriorating rapidly, Sen. McCain wants to continue the Bush policies that got us into our present predicament.

He CAN'T run on a platform of change since his entire operation is run by ex-Bush folks
He CAN'T run on the Bush ticket because he would only get about 25% of the vote if he did.
His only alternative is to run a campaign based on fear and lies, which he seems to be doing. -

Hate to tell you, why would they change their ways, it worked for the last 8 years and too many Americans believed them, so why would you think its going to change. If the average American doesn't break out of their fishbowl it will be 4 more years of McSame ! I was surprised when no one seemed to jump on McCain jumping on the 'change' wagon. I heard a speech, maybe it was at Palin's coming out party I don't remember, where I was shaking my head in disbelief-here's McCain spouting off about how he'll usher in change, change the way government works, how he and Palin are 'mavericks'[also used in a TV ad]

I couldn't believe my ears. After all, after hearing 'all he says is 'change', not how' about Obama like some kinda mantra, and there's McCain singing about change like David Bowie.

With all the hyperbole that is swirling around the nomination of Sarah Palin for VP I think they are hoping people won't notice the lies and misinformation. Sadly though I think the conservative right wallows in their stultifying close mindedness, placated by these lies. A sad comment on our educational system where fear and ignorance reign supreme.
