    The shutdown and evac of the refineries in that area are a normal procedure during any type of major storm activity. This includes the oil rigs in the gulf. It generally takes about 10 days to restart a refinery, and about 7 days to restart the oil rigs.

    If some of my ideas on emergency storage were implemented, there would be no disruption at all.

    Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Lately, sadly, the opposite has been practiced.

    Additionally, I would like to see a one time federal funding of the Red Cross to the tune of 2 billion dollars. The younger generations are far less generous than we are with their money and time.
