Palin never visited Iraq »
Posted By hyperbola 9 months, 4 weeks ago in NewsSarah Palin's visit to Iraq in 2007 consisted of a brief stop at a border crossing between Iraq and Kuwait, the vice presidential candidate's campaign said yesterday, in the second official revision of her only trip outside North America.
Following her selection last month as John McCain's running mate, aides said Palin had traveled to Ireland, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq to meet with members of the Alaska National Guard. During that trip she was said to have visited a "military outpost" inside Iraq. The campaign has since repeated that Palin's foreign travel included an excursion into the Iraq battle zone.
It was the second such clarification in as many weeks of the itinerary of what Palin has called "the trip of a lifetime." Earlier, the campaign acknowledged that Palin made only a refueling stop in Ireland.

This is a silly made-up "controversy" as Palin NEVER said she visited Iraq. If you listened to her, not to CNN, she said she'd visited Kuwait, not Iraq. Obama's camp and the MSM is apparently moving off from attacking her family to attacking her character, but these silly tactics will backfire -- after all, Palin DID visit the Middle East LAST year, unlike Obama's media tour this summer. The focus on her character will inevitably re-focus questions on HIS character. Let's see, Chicago dirty machine politics and Rezko connections. I don't think his campaign should want to go there.

One shouldn't forget that Palin's campaign also claimed great experience from a visit to Ireland.

Palin lied about visiting Ireland as part of her foreign policy experience
She didn't visit Ireland, which is what the McCain-Palin campaign claimed to Politico's Ben Smith on Saturday. She had a short refueling stopover, which means at best her extensive Irish diplomacy amounted to buying a sweater and a beer mug in the Shannon airport.....

Palin has racked up a tremendous number of half-truths and outright lies in a very short period. One more bit of evidence that she has no business as a VP candidate.

Its not what she says its what she doesn't say!!! In six weeks you will still know less than nothing about her, and if elected to office she will be ONE HEART BEAT AWAY!
LOOK! Her handlers the McCain people wont let the press at her WHY? Because she might reveal something that would hurt there campaign, matbe? Or what do they have to hide?
LOOK! You know nothing about her other than she just may have similar values to you, mother, hockey mom, religion etc... BUT that doe not make her ready to be ONE HEART BEAT AWAY from being the President.
SHE NEEDS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS in a unscripted fashion how else can you really get to know the candidate and there positions on where and what direction they will take the US in this extremely difficult time in the US's history!
THINK > ONE HEART BEAT AWAY! -

Wow are you people upset about Palin, at least she at least crossed a mile into Iraq. You also got angry about Kerry being called to task for stating he spent christmas IN Cambodia, when in reality he was near the border, in his defense he could SEE the border, never crossed the line. As for unscripted, man are you naive, they are ALL scripted, they get talking points PRIOR to any interview or press conference. They make the mistakes when they stray from the SCRIPT. You need to do some volunteer work with a politican for a dose of reality. Maybe then some of you would notbe so quick to follow the party line and do some independent thinking. Gosh someof you are still mentally trapped in high school civics class.

Asked to clarify where she traveled in Iraq, Palin's spokeswoman, Maria Comella, confirmed that "She visited a military outpost on the other side of the Kuwait-Iraq border.">>>>

OK. Where does that statement say she went a mile into Iraq? And if she did, so what? Let's see now; I've been to Mexico, Canada, France, the UK, & Italy.I win! LMAO!
I will say this; good for Palin that she spent one day in Kuwait checking on her national guard. But I hardly believe that gives her the foreign policy experience required to be next in line for the Presidency. -

Frankly I doubt that Palin ever attended a high school civics class. If she did, she has certainly forgotten everything she ever learned about the principles of american democracy. Can you imagine someone who believes in american democracy supporting these kinds of terrorists?

'Arming' for Armageddon - Militant Joel's Army Followers Seek Theocracy
Joel's Army believers are hard-core Christian dominionists, meaning they believe that America, along with the rest of the world, should be governed by conservative Christians and a conservative Christian interpretation of biblical law. There is no room in their doctrine for democracy or pluralism.

Cant have it both ways, first people say there is not enough information about her available and needs to be interviewed, then you STATE that she is out of her league. With insufficent information available, what is your judgement based on? Some Enquirer article or some Hollywood mental giant comments. Quit following there party line and do some INDEPENDENT thinking and make an INFORMED choice. Regardless of you vote for, be INFORMED.

Wow. I once had a stopover at the Rome airport on my way to Greece. Though I did not consider this as my "travels to Rome", if I followed Palin's logic, I could embellish the story considerably and say "My Rome trip was one of my best vacations". Which would be completely false, lest I liked airport shopping malls and waiting areas over actually seeing the city.

No one EVER stated that her trip to the Middle East was proof of Foreign Policy experience anymore than the rest of the photo opportunites do. This type of nonsense, repeating some media and Nuttywood b.s. is what clouds the ISSUES. Heck I am still hearing people claim Obama is a muslim. Guess some dont take the time to REALLY research the issues. America's down fall will that it is a nation of sheep and very naive.

At the time Palin wasn't allowed to talk to the press and since then has only risked 'powder puff', highly controlled 'interviews'. A desperate race by the israel-firsters to 'train' her is now on.

Neoconservatives plan Project Sarah Palin to shape future American foreign policy
"neocons", whose standard bearer in government, VP Cheney, lost out in Washington power struggles to the more moderate defence secretary Robert Gates and secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, last year are seeking to mould Mrs Palin to renew their influence.

is not the only accusation that Palin personally targeted a particular book for removal from the library on ideological grounds. It's also worth noting that Rev. Howard Bess, a liberal minister from the nearby town of Palmer, has accused Palin of successfully getting his own book, Pastor I Am Gay, banned from the library while she was mayor....

She has been to Canada and Mexico. Well no wonder she was picked as McCain's running mate. Visiting with those Aliens from Canada and Mexico is something well beyond McCain's ability. He needs someone with such vast experience with Aliens, even if it was to watch a hockey game or get a tan. With a gal such as Palin, McCains crew should have no problem fooling Republicans as did his predecessor.
