This is a silly made-up "controversy" as Palin NEVER said she visited Iraq. If you listened to her, not to CNN, she said she'd visited Kuwait, not Iraq. Obama's camp and the MSM is apparently moving off from attacking her family to attacking her character, but these silly tactics will backfire -- after all, Palin DID visit the Middle East LAST year, unlike Obama's media tour this summer. The focus on her character will inevitably re-focus questions on HIS character. Let's see, Chicago dirty machine politics and Rezko connections. I don't think his campaign should want to go there.

One shouldn't forget that Palin's campaign also claimed great experience from a visit to Ireland.

Palin lied about visiting Ireland as part of her foreign policy experience

She didn't visit Ireland, which is what the McCain-Palin campaign claimed to Politico's Ben Smith on Saturday. She had a short refueling stopover, which means at best her extensive Irish diplomacy amounted to buying a sweater and a beer mug in the Shannon airport.....

Palin has racked up a tremendous number of half-truths and outright lies in a very short period. One more bit of evidence that she has no business as a VP candidate.
