I don't see this as levity, I believe this is the best ad that Obama had all week. This skit showed Palin for what she really is, a JOKE! Yes, she is attractive, Yes, she is a wonderful actress, her acceptance shows that. You know that same speech she gives at every rally stop. After a while her shrill voice is going to get on people's nerves. After a while people are going to get sick of her lies. After a while people are going to realize how little experience she has other than shooting Caribou. After a while the Republicans are going to realize they made a big mistake, although they were not going to win this election any way. I have confidence that the American public will finally realize that our country is in a terrible state and everything in McCain's platform is almost exactly that of Bush's and that is certainly not working.

It is my hope that SNL can continue to get Tina Fey to play Palin. It is my hope that through COMEDY, American's will be able to see how weak the Republican ticket really is. After eight years of an utter idiot, I'm ready for a President who can give a speech and inspire people. I'm ready for a president who can travel abroad and be respected by foreign dignitaries and the citizens of these countries. The Republicans made fun of Obama when the press followed Obama on his trip abroad. They complained that the press did not follow McCain when he traveled abroad. The reason they went is because Obama is exciting, such as the speeches he gave in Germany to hundreds of thousands of people. It would just be a waste of time televising McCain giving a speech to five people. Obama is in the mold of other great Democratic orators, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Clinton. It's time for a president to inspire Americans not one like Bush and McCain who just put them to sleep.
It is my hope that SNL continues to characterize Palin and McCain, so Americans can ultimately see what clowns they really are.

Wow! That is a really intelligent statement, nikkibabe. Because Palin can only see Russia, and not Iraq, etc. she is an idiot when it comes to terrorism. I guess Obama's trek makes him an expert in terrorism since he has lived on the front lines in Honolulu, LA and Chicago. If you are going to try and back the Democratic ticket, or even just try to trash on the Republican ticket, I would recommend you ask someone with a little knowledge rather than combining your opinions with those of the people in line with you at the Unemployment Office waiting for your weekly check.

Her job as governor of Alaska must be the most over-rated position in history. It really must not take much effort to get the work done since she "deserted" it for most of the year to run for office ! I find it hard to believe she still got paid to trapse all over creation. The citizens of the state should be madder-than-hell that their taxes paid her to do nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
