One of the problems is that the lines between science and commerce are blurred...the top universities now own many medication patents. It's so expensive to research and develop a drug -- then when the patent expires, the company loses. It's not that I'm sympathetic to Big Pharma, but I've worked for one and know that dealing with drug costs are a multi-industry endeavor...one we need to tackle. Ok...off for a refill....
