Mom allegedly uses daughter's ID to be cheerleader »
Posted By JamesMarcus 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsA 33-year-old woman stole her daughter's identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading squad, according to a criminal complaint filed against the woman. Wendy Brown, of Green Bay, faces a felony identity theft charge after enrolling in Ashwaubenon High School as her 15-year-old daughter, who lives in Nevada with Brown's mother.
According to the complaint, Brown wanted to get her high school degree and become a cheerleader because she didn't have a childhood and wanted to regain a part of her life that she'd missed. Brown allegedly attended cheerleading practices before school started, received a cheerleader's locker and went to a pool party at the cheerleading coach's house.

I am 32 and can pass for a teen for real. I still get carded if I visit a quickie mart that I am not a regular at. She can not pass as a teen and was busted trying. I would guess from just her pic that she was 40 and not built like any cheerleader I have ever seen. No muscle tone and loose skin.

PFlag.... you asked "where in the world was the daughter all this time--at home hanging out?" Hey, read the article next time, lol. The mother was in Wisconsin, and the daughter lives in Nevada.

As to whether this is "felony Identity theft," I have a hard time with that one. Nothing indicated any monetary damages were incurred. What the lady did was unethical, but it really didn't seem like it hurt people. It's not like it was a 33-year-old man posing as a female cheerleader to get in the locker room and see ***********. Though I don't think it's harmless and I do agree she should face some repercussions, I think making it a felony is excessive. -

pflag, did you read? The daughter is living w/the father, that has to tell you somthing about the mother!!! I do not think jail time is the right answer our tax dollars are already being waisted away on other more inportant cases, as is our court systems. I am sure this person will talk her way out of any punishment she might get, she is already triing!! Yes I agree she needs to GROW up!! I could give you some sad stories of my child hood, but you move on, and live life....

PFLag you didn't read the article carefully. The daughter was with the woman's mother (ie: grandmother). Isn't that the way? KIDs have children then expect mom to take over, or let's even say, that some get placed with the grandparents as they are better able to handle issues and the responsibility.

Sad this mother who is 33 or whatever could not just move on with her life and try out for a professional team ? (cheerleading that is)

THIS generation of kids today can pass for younger or older. Something like hormones that is in milk can make them look older and other things out there can make you look younger, it is sad the mother went that route to go back to school .She could joined a night school for adults.

in response to footkiss - I agree 100%. Although this woman needs some help regarding her moving forward into a healthy adult life and certainly help in understanding that stealing anyone's identity, including your own daughter's is not okay - I could think of at least 100 instances where a serious felony occurs that has serious implications. This is NOT one of them.

Just wait, she'll get rich, the idiots in Hollywood will pay her a million for her life story, and then she'll make a couple hundred thousand posing for playboy, then.....she make a few more thousand and get a make-over after she makes the rounds on the female talk shows, (the view, Oprah..........). She'll never need a GED with all of the money she'll make from the dimwits who'll pay her that money.

We really don't know what else she did (e.g. Sex with teen boys, sex with the other cheerleaders, sex with the coach). Can you imagine the outcry had it been a male trying out for the team? Although she was arrested, she won't be prosecuted with the vigor and extent that a male would (read: double standard).

Lady needs to grow up! Not only is she 33 ,inpersonating her 15 year old daughter . She's also sick ,when she wants to gain access to the girls locker room ...real sicko here. There's more behind the reason she's not raising her daughter. Maybe she went to far,in her upbringing .

The name of the team is the Jaguars, but still funny. Actually, Jaguars kind of work for that also. I live i Green Bay and heard about this last week then saw the picture of her this weekend. I couldnt belive she pulled it off at all much less a few weeks. I think she must have looked different when she was all done up.
