We’d have Atari Modern Classics, a vintage look at our new favorites through the pixelated beer goggles of an era where simplicity was king.

I only wish there were more of them. (I think the Portal interpretation's my favorite, though Call of Duty 4 is a close second.)

I was looking at old 2600 boxes when I was at PAX, marveling at how beautiful they were. I love that I came across this post today.

I have an old one that still works. I also have about 35 games for it. It was the forst and best remembered game console I've ever bough. And the thing never broke down or had a bad cartridge.

Oh My Goodness I just threw out the original last year when I moved. I had a whole box of the tapes also. I couldn't get the old joy sticks to work, but the pong on it, I was the all time champ!

Yes, the reto stuff is the best. I sat down with a kid to play the new ones, mama mia, I was crashing Bart Simpson all over the place, and this kid of 10 was jamming, I know I'm getting old now. I wish everything old is new again, because I think people would like it if they tried. Space Invaders, fun, fun, fun.

Back in 1997, James Catalano created a very convincing Atari 2600 Doom hoax for a college art project. He had several people willing to pay $150 for the non-existing game. There was actually a way scaled down version of Doom ported to the ZX Spectrum.
