Iraq’s Forgotten Refugees »
Posted By tehranchik 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsJordan and Syria, not the United States, have felt the brunt of the refugee wave that Bush’s invasion has caused. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) estimates there are 1.6 million Iraqi refugees living in Jordan and Syria, and the annual cost of accommodating these Iraqi refugees is $1 billion per country. “Because they are not huddled in camps, these refugees do not get the attention and help they deserve from the U.S. and the international community,” states a recent IRC report on Iraqi refugees.

"Bush's invasion" caused the destruction of one of the most hideous, murderous dictatorships in the world, responsible for at least a million human deaths. Bush is to be congratulated. The typical liberal attitude this poster exhibits is the reason Obama will not be elected. His gang is just too damned snarky and anti-American.

Before the war is over more Iraqis will die as a result of Bush's invasion and at a higher rate then during Saddam's 35 year reign and "caring" individuals like yourself who didn't give a damn about Iraqis before US occupation won't consider even a single Iraqi out of the millions of dead, injured, expelled from their home anything more then a mere statistic having as much value as any other number on a piece of paper. That is if people like you will even care enough to look into the statistics.

We didn't go into Iraq to liberate its people. That is NOT what the UNSC Resolutions that were used as the "reason" were about.

And if we are going to liberate people from brutal dictators, why not liberate North Korea? The regime is on the axis of evil, is no less repressive, and it actually HAD WMDs. -

Did you hear anyone mention Saddam favorably? I read about him, and
the tactics he used to govern Iraq, in 1985. I could not believe my own
government would befriend this degenerate - but we did. The Time
magazine article was about our new friend in the Middle East - Saddam.
And as far as congratulating Bush? Why? Have we not all finally agreed
that Iraq was NOT involved in 9/11? Well, then ask yourself why we DID
go. Do you actually believe that it had ANYTHING to do with improving
the quality of life for Iraqis?
This submission is largely about women and children in danger - their lives in crisis - through no fault of their own. Yet, I see not even one tiny bit of compassion in your comment - you are ANGRY.
Why? Most likely it has nothing to do with Obama's candidacy for President - or liberals.........................You don't want to be reminded that there is a very ugly side to war. Well, red, white & blue misery you'll champion - but seems you'd be checking the religion or ethnicity of the recipients of your charity before it escapes your constrained little heart.
"Women and children first!" - as long as they are proven to be pro-American-hmm?

Underlying the greed and militarism displayed in Iraq is the belief that our nation has the right and destiny to take from other nations what we want regardless of the damage it causes others. This is the attitude of warmongers and profiteers. It is very sick; but there are always consequences for these injustices and we saw one of them on 9-11.
