She sang at a Hollywood fundraiser for the Democratic presidential candidate last night.
The night's reception and dinner at Greystone Mansion cost $28,500 per person (250-300 attended) and was followed by an event at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel for 800 guests that featuring Streisand at $2,500 a ticket.
Stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Jodie Foster, Will Ferrell, Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg attended. The event raised $9 million, according to AP.

Why anyone making less than $150,000 a year would vote Republican is the real question? They get burned everytime but continually do this! If you haven't given your tiny tax cut back in increased energy and food costs over the last year you aren't buying anything. So what's the reason? The truly wealthy have profited in a major way over the last 8 years the average American ($45,000 median income) has certainly not. -

Sarah Palin can't run her own household without screwing up, and this is supposed to be the 'female' who best represents women in America today . .. what do I say to my 14 year old daughter about gov sarah's pregnant teenage daughter? This is the role model for my daughter and my 16 year old son? The woman is undereducated and obviously not at all intelligent. Another republican sham . .. I think her choice mocks any woman in this country who has tried to raise a family correctly. Again, how can she be trusted to be in charge of anything if she can't even manage her family?

No Scarp. Gov. Palin, nor her daughter should be the role model for your daughter or your teenage son. If you are looking for role models for your children, the job is yours. I find it absolutely disgusting and desparate that the left uses a 17 year old girl as a target for degradation. The lives of the candidates children should be off-limits during a campaign.

No scarpanfam you tell your daughter to be careful else she will end up the same way. All we can do for our Children is rear them the very best we know how, and hope THEY make the right decisions. If they are old enough to get PG or get a girl PG, they are old enough to make decisions. Often they make the wrong one.

We cannot help what our children do when they are old enough to date and they leave the house! We cannot watch them every minute. Yes, maybe it would be nice, but that is impossible. Keeping the baby is the right thing to do and not hiding it, like so many do. Look at the Kennedy clan and how they tried to hid what their kids did wrong or cover it up.They have had children to die from taking drugs. Have you even forgotten what Ted did when he let that young lady drowned and took time to come up with a cover story before he reported it so he would not get in trouble?

There is NO such thing has perfect children, but, we, as parents, can only do the best we can! The mistakes they make, will hopefully be ones that they learn from.

I raised my daughter to know that there was no such thing as safe sex. That condoms fail. She chose to believe what the liberals out there say about how you can have safe sex. She got herpes and later pregnant having safe sex. Now she believes me.

You expect her to be perfect. There is no one perfect and I'm sure if you think about it you have flaws yourself. If Sarah Palin isn't a good enough example you should run for President in 2012. Sarah Palin is human, only Jesus was perfect to the end. As far as your daughter and son, why not sit down with them and explain that sometimes people make mistakes but you have to push on and try to do your best to make the best out of mistakes. As is what Sarah's daughter is doing by marrying the father of her unborn child. Also, maybe you'd rather vote for a dope smoker and explain that to your children. Your children aren't going to be perfect and you shouldn't expect them to either, you could get disappointed with something worse. How do you explain MaDonna, Brittney and Lindsey to them? Oh, make sure you ride in the back seat on all your kids dates.

Sarah Palin fought her way past the old political guard to become Gov. of Alaska and kicked a bunch of corrupt politicians out along the way. She has also locked horns many times with the Oil companies in AK and won.
This is much more important to our country than anything Streisand has or will ever do.
Sarah Palin has done a great job for her state as Governor and I would like to see the rest of country do as good.
As far as president goes, only John McCain has proven he will really work with Reps., Dems, independents and others as well to get things done. That is the only way we can achieve real change in the country.-

"Babs" isn't running for president. At least she is smart enough to know that she doesn't meet the qualifications. Palin is not running for president either, though she somehow seems to think that she qualifies for such. Perhaps after waffling through six colleges in six years, and then FINALLY earning a degree....she feels she has earned the right to be president?
