John McCain Owns 13 Cars »
Posted By Neophile 1 year, 2 months ago in Political NewsWhen you have seven homes, that's a lot of garages to fill. After the fuss over the number of residences owned by the two presidential nominees, NEWSWEEK looked into the candidates' cars. And based on public vehicle-registration records, here's the score. John and Cindy McCain : 13. Barack and Michelle Obama : one.

Not surprising, he is an elitist to the extreme. From 8 houses, 13 cars, some planes, $500 pair of shoes, he is so out of touch with the state of this nation that its scary. Though it explains why he thinks only people making $5mill or more a year are rich... I mean how else can one afford multiple homes, over a dozen cars, and a plane if you don't make that much right?

The guy and his wife have 13 cars (3 of which are street legal golf carts). Besides the Lexus and the Cadillac there is 2005 Volkswagen convertible in the garage along with a 2001 Honda sedan. Otherwise, there's a 2007 half-ton Ford pickup truck, which might come in handy on the Sedona ranch; a vintage 1960 Willys Jeep; a 2008 Jeep Wrangler; a 2000 Lincoln; and a 2001 GMC SUV.
He!! with his numerous homes this way he has something to drive and not asking for rides or can I borrow your car like Obama. Can I borrow your keys and wallet? I like a man that has his own ride in life and not take me on one. If Obama wins there is going to be change alright. The change will be in your pocket after he taxes the $hit out of you.

Me too. I like a guy with his own car, or 13. That pick-up truck is sure handy when he is clearing brush or hauling in the vegetables he's grown. I like independence in a man too. Besides, if Elvis Presley could have several cars, then so can he. I think he should buy a few airplanes too. He can fly them after all, can't he? -

The issue which you completely ignore is that of McCain's hypocrisy in that he attacks Obama as being an elitist and out of touch w/ the common folk and their problems in life. It turns out that John Sydney and Cindy McCain live a far more lavish lifestyle and are truly incapable of comprehending the difficulties of life for us in the lower classes. He accuses his opponent of the very thing that he is guilty of himself.
Reply
You obviously also do not know anything about the tax proposals of either candidate. From everything I have read from economic analysts in national publications and on-line, Obama will raise taxes on everyone making above $250,000 a year and decrease taxes on the middle and lower classes. He will also raise taxes on corporations. Do you realize that following current tax codes, over half of US corporations and 68% of foreign owned corporations in the USA do not pay ANY TAXES. Zero, zilch, nada, not a penny!!! The combined gross value of these corporations total in the trillions.
McCain, however, wants to make permanent the "temporary" tax cuts that the rich have received from Bush and increase tax breaks for corporations. Obama would let these tax benefits to the rich die and revert back to the pre-Bush status. McCain calls this a tax increase when it is simply a return to the previous status quo.
Besides, if your income is below $250000, you would benefit from Obama and should be voting for him. You should be voting for McCain only if your income is above $250000.
Oh, and one more detail, McCain says he can cut taxes, continue the Iraq War, and balance the budget. That is impossible and not logical at all.

It don't understand what the big fuss is about. It's not even two cars per house. Don't you want to get around when you are in any one of your houses? You wouldn't want to wait for your spouse to come home before you can leave the house either. What if she had to go to the beauty parlor at the same time when you had a golf game?

I like this part, some more of his little white lies.

"I've bought American literally all my life and I'm proud," McCain said in the interview with Detroit's WXYZ-TV. But the rest of his fleet is not all-American. There's a 2005 Volkswagen convertible in the garage along with a 2001 Honda sedan -

We also live in Arizona and have 11 vehicles registered and we are far from rich. It happens to be a requirement to have street worthy vehicles registered whether they are driven or not, unless they are in 'restoration' status and not visible from the street. This includes motorcycles.

WOW! We almost have as many cars as McCain! And surprise....none of them are Ferrari's -

Good question SG. I think that we should be talking about how McCain raised issue with Freddie and Fannie a couple of years ago and called for reform of those programs.

That seems a bit more pertinent to the conservation taking place at the water cooler where I work.
The front page reflects political soap-opera type articles. Propeller is sinking without a sink feature, LOL. -

Because if Obama owned 13 cars and more homes than he even knew about, you all would have a field day with that information. That's why it's here.
Reply
Then you cons have the nerve to call Obama an elitist.. Johnny has so many houses he can't keep up with them, Barack ONE.. McCain 13 cars, Obama ONE. Yet you all constantly try to link Obama with organized crime.. what a joke.. while we all know about Mc's relationship with Mob Boss Joe Bonanno.

Why are none of my fellow liberals mentioning that 3 of those cars are the electric bubble cars? That is impressive that McCain had the forethought to use electric cars to help save the environment. I must give him praise for his contribution to humanity.

3 electric cars of 13 gas guzzlers and you praise him for his contribution to humanity! Get the shovel.
Now that is the funniest inane remark on this thread. I must praise you for twisting the truth into one pretty piece of bs. -

Are you telling me that it is 'BAD' to be successful? Heck, I've got 4 autos, 2 houses, 5 cell phones on my bill. Is there something wrong here? I have worked all of my life..... terrible, I know but so has McCain. He is a workaholic. What in the world is wrong with you 'people'?? -

No wonder these raving Mcain lunatics are the laughing stock of the rest of the world. They would not be able to know a good point if it fell out of the sky and hit them on the head. If the mcain camp were in the olympics they would win gold for the amount of flip flops and lies they have told over time. He has 13 cars and 7 homes and calls someone else an elitist. And this ridiculous individual is supposed to understand about 600,000 losing there jobs, And so many losing there homes. Give me a break. And by the way in a survey over 70% of all europeans would vote for obama. Mcain has the appeal of 3 month old turkey for dinner.

Depending on the crowd he's pandering to today, he tells one group of poor people in the south that he UNDERSTANDS their plight and that the economy is in a terrible condition... Move on to the wealthy in Mass, and he tells them that the fundamentals of the economy is strong.. You're so right about his flip flops, he is the king..

I want someone to win that doesn't hate women (see McCain's voting record), who doesn't want to vote against children (again, see McCain's voting record), someone who isn't pro-rapist (see Palin's extreme Pro-life views even in cases of rape & incest), someone who doesn't poke fun of community service/organizers (b/c they are volunteering their time to help the poor/needy), someone who doesn't want to continue the horrible policies that affect the normal people (they don't call McCain McSame for nothing), someone who wants to give the wealthy even more tax cuts (again doesn't work see our economy, unemployment, deficit), someone whose Chief Economic adviser & bff doesn't call the Americans whiners & the economic problems are mental only (see value of the dollar), someone who doesn't understand the economy & says it is stable, someone who doesn't own 7-10 mansions, million dollar parking lots, 13 cars, some planes, $500 pairs of shoes (again elitists don't give a crap about regular folks), and I could go on and on. I do not want McCain/Palin that is for sure! They have the potential to be worse than Bush & Cheney (and that is scary!)
