Did you know that you can stop foreclosure yourself without the help of expensive lawyers or loss mitigation experts?

Homeowners who need help to stop foreclosure are usually unaware that they can stop foreclosure themselves without having to hire expensive lawyers or expensive foreclosure prevention companies. Anyone can stop foreclosure if you possess the knowledge.

Foreclosure prevention companies are making a fortune off of unsuspecting homeowners who are facing foreclosure. These companies lure you in by offering to negotiate a workout plan that will stop foreclosure or modify your loan but in reality the services that they perform are extremely simple and can be done anyone.

Even if you're successful in having the court grant you foreclosure protection via chapter 13, you better not be miss or be late on a payment because if so, you will lose your foreclosure protection granted by the bankruptcy and your lender will foreclose and they will NOT consider any negotiations.

In addition, if you choose to stop foreclosure by filing chapter 13, you need to know that a bankruptcy remains on your credit file for 10 years and will prevent you from being able to apply for another mortgage for as many as 3 years.

The best way to prevent foreclosure is to stop foreclosure dead in its tracks. You don't have to file bankruptcy or hire a foreclosure prevention firm to stop foreclosure, you can do it yourself!
