I think those dissenting and protesting should start carrying tear gas and taser guns and 'doing it to the police and ANYONE who interferes with them" it would serve these Nazi/Fascist BASTARDS right. They, like Bush/Cheney/Rice,et al,trample the US

Constitution daily. If the right-wing NRA-supporting terrorists can tote guns so can the left wingers. -

It should be no surprise that a government that fails to be the government of the people will engage in the suppression of peaceful dissent and assembly.

Our constitutional rights have been usurped by those who run our corporate dictatorship.
Mainstream media kept this off the front pages and off the major TV networks, because they are now mostly owned by GOP special interests. The appearance of freedom is what totalitarian governments strive for. We have followed the example of Russia and China. Pitiful.
By the way, Amy Goodman, is one of my favorite reporters and radio personalities. We listen to her on WMNF out of Tampa. -

Watching the footage reminded me of the horrible treatment of the protesters in Italy several weeks ago. It's shocking to see this happening in my own country.

Peaceful protests aren't news until a group of anarchists start making trouble. Now that's news----then it can be said 'look what those stupid protesters are doing now' -

The action of the police in pre-emptive strikes against planned protestors and independent media smacks of a police state. It is soooo 1984. The corporate oligarchy has the main stream media in their hip pockets and are now in mop up mode. Mopping up independent media and intimidating them to follow their directions or just be taken out of the process of getting the news. And main stream media will not report on these tactics because they are complicit.

It is also soooo 1933, when Germany was taken over by the hordes of black-garbed SS troupes and the rights of German citizens evaporated. Only those walking the walk and talking the talk could expect to prosper.
That is why I cringe any time I see American police dressed up in black uniforms which are meant to intimidate. We need to go back to the warm grays and tans.

Her comments on the police wanting journalists to be in bed ("embedded") with the police is a telling comment about who controls our police now. We don't do it anymore.

Who are these policemen? Who controls them?
Perhaps they are connected with Blackwater. They have the same tactics.

Looking at the video closer, I did not see any insignia that would have indicated that these police were from St. Paul. They all wore the black uniforms of Blackwater.

I think these were not police, but Blackwater mercenaries. Who else would be guarding these pseudo-Republicans?
The German National Socialists also had their black-clothed SA troupes to control the masses. Why would these pseudo-conservatives be any different?
