A MUSLIM CREATIONISM DEBATE »

Posted By jovial 1 year, 3 months ago in Religion

Fundamentalist Christians in America are not the only ones leading a crusade against Darwin. Creationism and "intelligent design" are becoming increasingly popular among Turkey's Muslims, too.

Palin Republicans aren't alone in their belief in Creationism. They might be shocked to learn that Muslims in Turkey think exactly the same way! Palin also supports creationism.

Virtually all religions are a cult. This is why so many have died in the name of religion whether it be catholic or muslim.
Look at Bush! He is suppose to be a christian but with what he has done ... he is one big murderer in the name of imperialism, capitalism and greed. Cheney is even worse.

Christian fundamentalists have no patent on primitive belief.

Fundamentalism is...fundamentalism. To admit any idea or belief that contradicts the received "wisdom"--a closed system--is to betray that system.

    To question god.

    Etc.

I have noticed that the ignorance and primitive beliefs that characterize Christian fundamentalism is really no different than Muslim fundamentalism.

There are quite a number of extremely troubling links between Sarah Palin and neopentecostal dominionists--she may be ultimately as much of a "dream candidate" for the dominionist movement as Mike Huckabee was.

I recall reading somewhere that Turkey is the only country in the entire world that accepts evolution less per capita than America.

We must be ever vigilant against those that wish to turn back the clock of progress.

Lest we forget, Turkey is the seat of the old Ottoman Empire, once among the most enlightened areas on Earth. Until the fundamentalists took power. And then...

Palin believes that she and fellow Christians will disappear, followed by the world going through about 7 years of hell before Jesus shows up. Ahmadinejad believes no one will vanish, but, that Allah needs help from His/Their followers to help bring about the hell Palin and Christians feel they will miss out on. I'm thinking BOTH will get their wish.

I'm thinking Palin supporters and Muslims can share their similarities and work to achieve peace with one another. Or is that asking for too much? Maybe they can explore other similarities with each other?

I thought this was a very revealing statement from the article:

"Unlike what's happening in a number of areas in the US, all attempts to introduce creationism into biology classes in Turkey have been blocked. Only the theory of evolution is taught "in every school, in every classroom, even in the remotest provinces."

A muslim country teaching only evolution.

Muslim Creationism. This is the Creationism atheists are far more easy on. I can understand. The day will come where the atheist has to say, "By golley, you are RIGHT, Abdullah! The sun DOES have to run to a resting place. Not only set in a murkey spring, prostrate under the throne of Allah, but, has to ask permission of Allah to rise again, where Allah will then tell it that the day will come where it will rise in the west."

No where in history has so much time been wasted by so many memorizing rubbish. Christians have probably wasted as much time studying their Bible, but at least they don't tend to TOTALLY stuff their minds with it.

Many religions have some "Shazam!" moment when some magical being "created" everything. It's harmless enough until they gain positions where they can turn their nonsense into public policy - whether it's in Afghanistan or Alaska.

if you want to see some examples of what could happen if the wall between church and state is destroyed, look no further thatn the middle east.
