This guy is so full of himself that it is hard to take. You have to love the little back and forth @ the 2:35 mark between Obama and the Breck Girl. I wonder who spends more time in front of a mirror in the morning. The Greeks must have had these 2 in mind for their tale of Narcissus.

I love it when cons use Obama's whole name.
Reply
Its as if you actually think the "Hussein" part means something bad, as if the imagined connective tissue between Barack Obama and Saddam Hussein were somehow real and relevant, when back here in reality it means absolutely nothing since there is no connection between the two men, and the name isn't a muslim name, but an arab name (and btw all you racists, muslim and arab are two different things).
and when the whole name is used, you just know a hate piece is to follow.
What if Obama's middle name was Einstein? In your tiny minds would that then mean that Barack Einstein Obama had an otherworldly understanding of quantum physics?
see how stupid that sounds?-

Well here is one of our resident israel-firsters trying desperately to smear Obama because the ZionCons have told him that McCain is more likely to continue to overlook zionist crimes against humanity in Palestine: the world's biggest refugee problem (7 million christian and moslem victims) and the world's biggest concentration camps (3 million prisoners).

perhaps some of you have read the word "weathermen" and not known what it really was. This is from wikipedia:
Reply
The Weathermen were initially part of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (RYM) within the SDS, splitting from the RYM's Maoists by claiming there was no time to build a vanguard party and that revolutionary war against the United States government and the capitalist system should begin immediately.
Their founding document called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements[2] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and achieve a classless world: world communism."[3]
The group's first public demonstration was the "Days of Rage," an October 8, 1969 riot in Chicago that was coordinated with the trial of the Chicago Eight.[4] In 1970 the group issued a "Declaration of a State of War" against the United States government, under the name "Weather Underground Organization" (WUO), and members adopted fake identities and pursued covert activities.
They carried out a campaign consisting of bombings, jailbreaks, and riots. Their attacks were mostly bombings of government buildings, along with several banks, police department headquarters and precincts, state and federal courthouses, and state prison administrative offices.[5][6]
For the bombing of the United States Capitol on March 1, 1971, they issued a statement saying it was "in protest of the US invasion of Laos."
For the bombing of The Pentagon on May 19, 1972, they stated it was "in retaliation for the US bombing raid in Hanoi."
For the January 29, 1975 bombing of the Harry S Truman Building housing the United States Department of State, they stated it was "in response to escalation in Vietnam."[7]
The Weathermen largely disintegrated shortly after the US reached a peace accord in Vietnam in 1973 , which saw the general decline of the New Left.
Today
Widely-known members of the Weather Underground include Kathy Boudin, Mark Rudd, Terry Robbins, Ted Gold, Naomi Jaffe, Cathy Wilkerson, Jeff Jones, David Gilbert, Susan Stern, Bob Tomashevsky, Sam Karp, Russell Neufeld, Joe Kelly, Laura Whitehorn and the still-married couple Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers. Most former Weathermen have successfully re-integrated into mainstream society, without necessarily repudiating their original intent.
A non-violent faction of the Weather Underground continues today as the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee. Their official site reads:
We oppose oppression in all its forms including racism, sexism, homophobia, classism and imperialism. We demand liberation and justice for all peoples. We recognize that we live in a capitalist system that favors a select few and oppresses the majority. This system cannot be reformed or voted out of office because reforms and elections do not challenge the fundamental causes of injustice-

Whistling Past the Graveyard: McCain’s Stupid Economy
Reply
http://firedoglake.com/2008/07/07/whistling-past-t...
"John McCain wants to"reform" social security by adding private accounts to it. Unbelievably stupid idea because either the returns will be on a normal curve and thus many people will lose out badly, or they will in effect be guaranteed, in which case, why bother? And if they ostensibly aren't guaranteed, after millions of people lose their shirt, and they will, because most amateurs do, the government will probably wind up having to bail them out anyway. SS privatization is a way to give Wall Street a huge boost by making mandatory buys on the market. Millions of accounts, with millions of transaction fees, and all of it stupid money. I can practically see the pros salivating as we speak."
--Hmmm... Didn't Bush try this stunt once-- before Americans told him to shove it? Wow...Let's hope McBush has learned a thing or two given the current state of disaster the world economy is headed for. ;-(-

Perhaps some of you have read the phrase "ad hominem" and not known what it really was. This is from wikipedia:
""An ad hominem argument consists of replying to an argument or factual claim by attacking a characteristic of the person making the argument or claim, (real or invented) rather than by addressing the substance of the argument or producing evidence against the claim.
The process of proving or disproving the claim is thereby subverted, and the argumentum ad hominem works to change the subject."
Examples of ad hominem attacks are ....
--- Trying to link a person to other, commonly discredited groups --- even when there is no evidence.
An example of this might be trying to link a fellow named Barack Obama with the Weather Undergound ... even though this link has been proven to be removed by a generation.
Another example of an ad hominem attack is ....
--- Trying desperately to apply a label to someone .... this is done in a pathetic, sick attempt to dissuade others from listening to a someone's position because the logic of that position might sway well reasoned people.
A common tactic is to label someone you don't like as a 'Socialist'.
However, as we look back on George W. Bush's life, business career, and presidency, it's apparent that labels can be misleading.
It turns out that George W. Bush is probably the most blatant example of a Socialist in our time.
Beginning with his efforts to steal 200 acres from middle class citizens using Eminent Domain .... to his remarkable Vast Transfer of Wealth from the Middle Class to the Wealthy .... to his proposed bailout of America's Richest, Whitest American's who have run into a little bit of financial trouble.
Oh ... and this fellow wants you to accept his plan and have NO say so about it .... NO share in future profits ... and NO oversight .... that is like pure Socialism.
But GW himself is not a pure Socialist.
GW is a FIRM believer in Unregulated, Free Markets .... when they are making profits .... when these unregulated behemoths falter ... as ANY unregulated entity always does .... THEN GW is a Socialist.
A Capitalist when profits are being made .... A Socialist when Losses are incurred.
And that's not an ad hominem attack ... that's the facts.
For additional background on the underpinnings of GW's mindset and motivators .... see my commentary on 'The American Christian Conservative Rich & White Theology' below.-

Actually we do need a major change in what is taught in our schools and a lessening of the state propaganda from the corporate media. For example, americans should be told that Cheney, Rumsfedl and Wolofiwtz helped kill their first million people during the Ford Adminstration - at the same time they were trying to give a full nuclear cycle, including plutonium, to Iran.
Reply
Time to end the slogan chanting and face reality.
Crimes Against Humanity From Ford to Saddam
If we do not limit our analysis of Ford to his role as a U.S. "statesman," and instead examine his behavior through an internationalist lens similar to that employed to judge Saddam Hussein and concerned with crimes against humanity, we find that Ford, too, was responsible for mass murder-in East Timor. The responsibility goes further than Ford's now-well-known giving to Indonesia the proverbial green light to invade. What the green light metaphor obscures is just how decisive Ford's authorization was, and how his complicity with Indonesia's crimes continued throughout his brief White House occupancy....

"Black Theology refuses to accept a god who is not identified totally with the goals of the Black Community. If God is not for us, and against White People, then he is a murderer and we had better kill Him. The task of Black Theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the Black Community. Black Theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the White Enemy. What we need is the Divine Love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of Black People to destroy their Oppressors, here and now, by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this Holy Activity, we must reject His love."

It's just like the The Modern American Christian Conservative's 'Rich & White Theology'.
One of the central precepts of the 'Rich & White Theology' is the Enforced Affirmative Action.
I mean, Affirmative Action is okay up to a point. But look at what this Rich & White Affirmative Action has given us .... George W. Bush as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!
I mean, let's all agree that this fellow is president ONLY because he is Rich and White.
Look, he's as ignorant as the day is long. In fact, he CELEBRATES his mediocrity! He's laughed at how a self-proclaimed 'C' student can 'do alright'.
In Rich & White Theology, you can claim to be Christian .... but behave in EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Rich & White Theology asks only that you proclaim that you are FOR the unborn.
If you proclaim that you are FOR the unborn, this is what you are permitted:
--- You can lie to go to war
--- You can lie to the American people
--- You can lie to Congress
--- You can protect others who commit the treason of blowing CIA agent's cover
--- You can claim to be a Fiscal Conservative .... but spend faster than snot
--- You can emasculate every government regulation ... then ask citizens to pay for the inevitable collapse
--- You can say you are Pro-Life, but actually you just use the issue to motivate the base
--- You can say you hate Liberal Adulterers ... then rally behind your party's adulterers
--- You can maintain everything is great .... even while everything is falling apart
--- You can lie .... you can lie .... you can lie ... you can lie ....
You can lie because .... the FOREMOST tenet of the Rich & White Theology is that 'The End ALWAYS Justifies the Means'.
Evidence? Karl Rove & George W. Bush.
See?
Personally, I think that this Christian Conservative Rich & White Theology is Morally Vacant .... and I have said so many times.
I know it is morally vacant because I have seen the deleterious effect this ideology has had on my fellow Christian Conservatives.
Where once my fellow Christians walked upright, with a concern for Children, the poor, the sick, and for the general welfare .... Rich & White Theology has turned these kind souls into small minded misanthropes .... who salivate at keeping children from getting access to health care .... and who glorify themselves the more wars they can start.
I hope this helps explain The Modern American Christian Conservative Rich & White Theology.

By the way .... this 'Rich & White Theology' is an offshoot of the 'Health Wealth Theology'.
Reply
Health Wealth Theology is one of those Morally Vacant Perversions that my fellow Christian Conservatives are prone to.
The basic idea is that, the RICHER and HEALTHIER you are ..... the closer you are to God.
One of America's foremost preachers on this topic is the IMMENSELY popular, (and rich) Joel Osteen.
But these theologies are all basically the same .... Rich & White Theology .... Health Wealth Theology .... they are an expression of how Morally Vacant American Christianity has become.
Obsessed with Money.
Obsessed with Consumerism.
Obsessed with Small Minded Politics.
Obsessed with Retribution.
Obsessed with being the best Polluters the world has known.
Obsessed with protecting Morally Vacant politicians.
Obsessed with waging war of any sort.
Obsessed with keeping children from getting health care.
Obsessed with supporting adulterers .... if ... and only if .... they are Republicans .... like Johnny McCain.
It's a very odd type of Theology.
It's oddly similar to an ideology Christian Conservatives soundly REJECT!
Christian Conservatives REJECT Evolution.
But their Rich & White Theology and their Health Wealth Theology bears remarkable similarities to Evolution ... specifically ... the aspect of 'Survival of the Fittest'.
Again ... I hope this helps everyone understand The Modern American Christian Conservative and the Rich & White Theology.

Frankly Jeremiah Wright is a good deal more credible as an american patriot than Palin's preachers. He is certainly right that oligarchical imperialism is destroying america. Here is what Ronald Reagan's Asst. Secy. of Defense has to say about Wright. With that we see that you are again scare-mongering. Why do you keep attacking patriotic Americans? Is your first loyalty to some other country?
Reply
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a True Patriot
By LAWRENCE KORB and IAN MOSS
In 1961, a young African-American man, after hearing President John F. Kennedy's challenge to, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country," gave up his student deferment, left college in Virginia and voluntarily joined the Marines. In 1963, this man, having completed his two years of service in the Marines, volunteered again to become a Navy corpsman. (They provide medical assistance to the Marines as well as to Navy personnel.)
The man did so well in corpsman school that he was the valedictorian and became a cardiopulmonary technician. Not surprisingly, he was assigned to the Navy's premier medical facility, Bethesda Naval Hospital, as a member of the commander in chief's medical team, and helped care for President Lyndon B. Johnson after his 1966 surgery. For his service on the team, which he left in 1967, the White House awarded him three letters of commendation. What is even more remarkable is that this man entered the Marines and Navy not many years after the two branches began to become integrated.
While this young man was serving six years on active duty, Vice President Dick Cheney, who was born the same year as the Marine/sailor, received five deferments, four for being an undergraduate and graduate student and one for being a prospective father. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both five years younger than the African-American youth, used their student deferments to stay in college until 1968. Both then avoided going on active duty through family connections.
Who is the real patriot? The young man who interrupted his studies to serve his country for six years or our three political leaders who beat the system? Are the patriots the people who actually sacrifice something or those who merely talk about their love of the country?...
(Lawrence Korb and Ian Moss are, respectively, Navy and Marine Corps veterans. Korb served as assistant secretary of Defense in the Reagan administration.)

Straight talk express? No. Clean, high-minded politics? Hell no. Anything resembling a plan for how he’ll accomplish the goals he listed? Oddly missing. All we’re left with is a candidate that changes what he says almost on a daily basis, and makes promises for what he’ll do in office that he’s given no outline for how"

So yesterday he called for the resignation of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairman Chris Cox (which the Wall Street Journal editorial board called “unpresidential”), and today he calls for the head of the FEC chief? This after yesterday’s bizarre rant against the prime minister of Spain?
Maybe McCain needs to take a vacation. He doesn’t seem to be making sense lately."

If you were better informed, you would know that back in March McCain knew where Spain was and said he would be happy to meet with the Spanish president.
What changed since then? McCain sold himself out to the ZionCon, israel-first zionists who are infuriated that Spain withdrew its troops from Iraq and has a much more balanced treatment of the mideast than the US. For example, McCain's chief foreign policy advisor, Randy Scheuneman, has made his personal fortune out of using the american military for zionist corruption. Is your first loyalty to America or to the israel-firsters?
Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land - How Israel manipulates and distorts American public perceptions
Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, Peace, Propaganda & the
Promised Land carefully analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and
Israeli colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one.

Respectfully, Harvard has graduated many students.
Reply
That has no bearing on Obama's lack of accomplishment since then and with no outstanding accomplishments, he is now qualified to be president?
That is ridiculous.
What has he done to warrant getting the presidency?-

Well Mccain has a serious problem with his stable of 170 lobbyists that are running his campaign.

McCain's Fannie and Freddie Connections
Although John McCain rails against Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac on the campaign trail, many of his campaign staffers have been involved in dubious lobbying payoffs from Fannie and Freddie.

Very nice piece of propaganda. A textbook example. Not one quote in context, appeal to nationalism and fear, not one mention of the facts that don't support the warped presentation, the works.
Reply
I imagine if Goebbels was alive to see the piece he'd cry tears of joy at such ready adoption of his technique by the wizard of propaganda Lorne Baxter and giddy willingness of the demagogues to blindly lap up every inane piece of subterfuge in it.-

Gee, I thought we were talking about Baxter's "masterpiece", but if the demagogues like yourself want to change the topic to Michael Moore then I don't mind discussing that either.
Reply
Tell me, demagogue gwhiddon how does the use of deceptive techniques by Michael Moore justify Baxter's subterfuge? Or is this yet another one of those two wrongs make a right fallacies that you demagogues love so much?

We know McCain in AZ & haven't forgotten his deep involvement in the Keating 5 scandal. That brought down the S & L's. Now here we go again. Hepretends to want to punish the "greedy" Wall Street robbers. I don't believe the lies spread about Obama. I guess that is how the Republican party wins - lie about the opposition. Sad how many people believe the lies.

McCain was cleared of charges in the K5 case.
Reply
That is nothing compared to the Dem involvement in the Fannie Freddie scandal. They spent more in one day than it took in five years of war to bail out thier rich friends at fannie and freddie, the Democrat cash cow.
But I know it's ok to live big corps if they are full of Dems.-

Yes McCain got off with a slap on the wrist in the era in which Reagan solidified corruption in the Congress. Remember this was the period when the GOP and fundies were working with drug dealers, international arms traders, right-wing assassins, .... to kill 300,000 christians in central america.

If we had cleaned out this bunch of crooks then, we wouldn't have had them back committing more crimes against humanity and robbing us blind then.
Bush, McCain and the Old Iran-Contra Team
T he vetting of Sarah Palin for the McCain campaign by an Iran-Contra alumnus brought an epiphany. (See “ The Man Who Vetted Palin,” CounterPunch, September 8, 2008.) The American people’ s inability to control this crime spree we call the Bush administration is not because we’ re lazy, narcissistic or willfully blind to human rights violations, as much of the world now views us. It’ s because we’ ve been misidentifying this crime spree as “ the Bush administration.” What we’ re clearly confronting is the Iran-Contra Alumni Association masquerading as the Executive Branch, replete with domestic spying, dark ops, fake journalists, fake news reels, press intimidation, protester arrests, infiltration and torture. Their latest maneuver is the woman with zero foreign policy experience a heart beat from taking that 3 a.m. call. A call which, of course, they’ ll answer for her as they have done for Bush II.

This is really a stupid film. Racists love to say his middle name in such a stupid way, like "Hussein" is real spooky! Don't you think that the CIA or Homeland Security would be right on it if someone running for President of the USA had any terrorist connections whatsoever? What a stupid accusation. I live in Hawaii where he grew up and, believe me, Barack is an all American guy who still surfs on his vacations home and likes Hamburgers just like you and me.

I feel sorry for you Haters of Barack Obama. You know this web site is a bunch of crap, designed to get U Obama haters riled up so the GOP can steal the Presidential elections again. Why are U people so full of Hate! Half of this web story is baloney and they know it. Articles are taken out of context and fed to U fragile minded folks to intentional create chaos. You must learn it has nothing to do with Obama, just evil people trying to upset and work you up over their vicious lies. It's ok if U don't vote for Obama, but why LIE on him??The Bible says, Hate is more cruel than death; and U call yourselves Christians. I have never experienced so much hatred in America before. How SAD, U are allowing others to manipulate your minds with HATE!

My wife even called to ambulance to put my body parts back together!
But I still have some questions! Who Barak Hussein Obama is?
Is he a catholic muslim and unpatriotic socialist? Or, maybe he is just a socialistic muslim and unpatriotic catholic at the same time?
Also, do you know that his middle name is Hussein!!!
Does it mean that I already have to put his picture on my office wall or I should wait when it will be mandatory?
And, you know, my boss’s name is Gorge and he is very smart person! Does it make another Gorge as smart as my boss, or it is vice versa? -

I'm sorry, all the above scriptures are being taken out of context. From the Alfa,to the Omega the beginning to the end,God never intended for man to beg.Any one who is able bodied is to work and care for his own, anything less is an abomination in the eyes of God.A person who cares not for his own is worse than an infidel,And the deepest part of the sea is a more desirable place to spend eternity, than the place God has in mind.

Goppy is dopey. My god didn't you watch the last two presidential elections.People who would be rejected for a job at K-Mart.Gore was closer to the Chinese than he was Americans.Kerry was closer to the French,he found all the propaganda needed to justify his hate, and disgust for the American soldier.Looks like we may have slipped a notch or two and just might put another partial American in the oval office.

He must be a terrorist! Everybody with that name is a terrorist, didn't you know that? And oh yeah - he's a Muslim too!! IT'S TRUE! His Christian pastor said so.
And while I'm at it. There is a guy on my street named Oswald. He must be an assassin! I'd better keep my eye on that guy. -

I must say I am really getting sick and tired of people quoting half the facts. Why is it that in the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac issues you fail to mention William Timmons who got money for McCain, or Rick Davis who lobbied the F's for McCain. Who are I might point out on the McCain staff.

If a person is to successfully be a leader, then they have to promote whatever they are to lead positively.
Reply
If the leader feels that they need to change things, that's fine.
If the leader attempts to make changes while at the same time not positively promoting whatever it is they are leading, I am afraid they are going to fail.
Failing both in the eyes of their followers and their competitors.
