Free-market fundamentalists will spin what happened as
something else. "Temporary government intervention in
the market" or "just another federal loan
program." And there's the ever-popular
"bailout," a neutral term implying we do it all
the time and it absolves everyone of any blame.
The Russians nationalized profit and privatized losses. We privatize profit and nationalize losses. And that's the worst sort of socialism.
Give to the rich and steal from the poor???

    The idea that former "de regulators" are suddenly pro government intervention, in fact demanding nationalization of wall street financiers is nothing less than surreal. The ultimate twist is it's a Bolshevik style revolt that has the peasants being plundered by the aristocracy.

      The new American socialism has arrived; "we privatize profits and nationalize losses." Of course, who dares to talk about how the oppression of class and the spread of corporate elitism is destroying our nation.
