More voters in each state also would rather see Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Joseph Biden become President, even though voters in each state say Sen. McCain's selection of Gov. Sarah Palin as running mate is a good choice.-

Klarris, liar again! Most do not think Palin was a good choice... most evil repugs might, but not most voters... she is totally unqualified and blocking an investigation in her own state - how corrupt in view of her pledge for government transparency!

Good polling info, I think. Good day for Obama with that particular pollster, particularly considering the Colorado numbers and the Michigan ones, too. Minnesota is closer then I'd like, but Obama is abandoning North Dakota to strengthen his support there.

Right on about Palin as W with a big W=Woman. the idea for McC. was bright but she isn't...she's a HEARTBEAT AWAY from us having a national nightmare if this incompetent, delusional person were EVER to even be near the W House. I find it hard to think that Palin can bounce back now the newness of her is gone and I think the GOP did here in. At some point they should have let her sit down and talk to reporters instead of just two in over a month.

Look all these polls are targeting likely voters and are ignoring all the people that has made the effort to register to vote...that is just dumb. I think Obama will win by a landslide if things continue to trend this way.
The race issue is a not really as big as the press wants you to think it is...people have made two mistakes in electing and reelecting bush the are well aware of this and will be very keen not to make the same mistake.
All this talk about Obama not being ready blows my mind, did anyone see the man on 60 MIN? I was shocked how on Monday they were very little talk at how much better he did that McCain on there.
I still think the Media knows better, however if they came out and say the race is not a race who would watch them really?-

The media have been disappointed they were slighted the chance to destroy Sara Paylin, even givng the hint of how they destroyed another vice president. She has enough governing savvy to stand on issues and enough charm to stand against the charm of Obama. Maybe, foreign ministers may be more gracious, especially since America is not very favored. Hopefully, she will find an opening of doors that were closed. She knows Alaska enough to help us push forward with oil drilling. Obama plays both the Muslim and Christian trump card as well as the race card. In his book, Audacity of Hope, he states 'I will stand with the Muslims should political winds shift in an ugly direction.'Islam dominates 57 nations and pushing hard in others. In his book, Dreams of My Father, he states,'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.' He has inner conflicts. Though we should not 'judge the color of the skin, but the content of the heart'. My family have mixed races and it is not an issue. We find much confusion in the character of his Chicago friends and his Anti Israel Arab fundraiser.(2000)Also, Obama funded, socialist cousin in Kenya who caused the country much distress and rioting last December, '07. This goes beyond gender, economics, race etc. Think through issues carefully, not gender or race. Our country's future is at stake. McCain has proven his American loyalty and Sara Paylin has proven her leadership abilities. Obama was community organizer. What and who does he bring to the table?

Can you explain why McSame was NOT promoted along with the other POW's? His resulting low rank forced him to retire early. Can you explain why McSame was dating his current wife while still married? Ross Perot and Nancy Reagan had to take care of his first wife. Can you explain why McSame turned tail and abandoned his own anti torture bill? Can you explain why McSame violated his own campaign finance reform bill? Can you explain why McSame has some 160 lobbyists running his campaign? Can you?

First, being a bad pilot does not make you a war hero. Being a prisoner of war, and specially treated because Daddy was an admiral does not make you a hero. Being so specially treated that you were the only one of the prisoners in the prison camp to gain weight is certainly not moral. He should have shared some of his extra food with the other prisoners.

Agreed, McCain heroically served his country and suffered greatly for it. On that, he has integrity. Does that make him the man to be the next President? Sorry, I don't see it. Just because he has been in war doesn't make him an expert. On the economy or healthcare or energy? He offers nothing that would make any positive difference for me or anyone I know. What's he gonna do for you?

As much respect as I have for those who have gone to war, I am fed up with the insinuations that they are somehow 'better' than any other American. Ordinary people show courage every day of there lives when they never give up, pay their fair share, endure injustices, raise good children, & get up every time they're knocked down. They're the backbone of this nation, & are no less American than john mccain. Most people do what is asked of them in life, and most do it quietly and without fanfare. ENOUGH of this trying to make mccain a 'god.' He did a job and had a tough break. So did thousands of others in war time, and thousands didn't get the chance to have any more tomorrows. He's no better. And he has no mandate to be President for doing what tens of thousands did before him and after his service! -

No, and neither has McCain nor you. So what does that have to do with the price of a bowl of rice in China?
I could give a rats azz about what happened to McCain in Vietnam 40 years ago. You Republican neocon suckups taught me that one when you smeared a real war hero, John Kerry.
Besides, McCain has shown he has no integrity time and again over the last decades and especially in the last eight years. The lies, the adultery (worse than Clinton!), the cheating, the stealing, the voting time and again AGAINST our own troops, the entitlements to his crony buddies and handouts to oil and other PACS that donate to him. The stealing of private property for crony profit. I mean the list goes on and on!
Not to forget that he flip-flops so much he makes Kerry look steady like the Rock of Gibraltar. How many presidential candidates have not only switched their positions within a day, how many have written a law only to break it? How many have sponsored a bill before they were against it? McCain has more waffles than IHOP. -

Jim Johnson was an UNPAID volunteer to head up the VP vetting committee. As soon as he became the source of controversy, he immediately resigned. He was there - what - 2 weeks?
In contrast, the campaign director for McCain is Rick Davis. He just happens to be head lobbyist for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
And he has not resigned yet
So, do you want to continue bringing up Jim Johnson vs Rick Davis. I assure you that McCain is looking pretty sordid in this game of "Count the Lobbyists."
As of several days ago, when I last looked, McCain had 177 identifiable lobbyists in his campaign structure. If you want, I can look again and see how many more have signed on to help McCain. I simply got so disgusted I haven't bothered to look again.-

Unions begin big election effort, By John Wojcik, People's Weekly World
Reply
With the primary season over, labor is wasting no time jumping into the fall campaign. The 10-million-member AFL-CIO is expected to endorse Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, shortly. The Change to Win federation has already endorsed him.
Once the AFL-CIO officially endorses Obama, it is expected to deploy large numbers of ground troops for the election. It has already budgeted $54.3 million for its own get-out-the vote drive and may, according to its political committee chairman, AFSCME President Gerald McEntee, spend as much as $60 million on the effort.
The Steelworkers have already begun what they say will be 30,000 or more worksite visits by union activists, talking directly to workers about Obama’s positions. They’re emphasizing his proposals for fair trade policies and for creation of millions of good paying “green” manufacturing jobs. The jobs they are talking about include production of solar cells, industrial-sized windmills to power electric turbines, and hybrid automobile engines.
The Service Employees (SEIU), the largest union in the Change to Win federation, voted at their June 2–4 convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to spend $85 million for the fall campaign to elect Obama and a bigger Democratic majority in Congress.
An additional $55 million will be spent for a legislative campaign to push for creation of a “universal, comprehensive and affordable national health care plan,” according to a union statement issued after the convention.
In a unique move, SEIU voted to spend $10 million to mount campaigns against legislators on any level who go back on promises they have made to the labor movement.
The SEIU info
Organizing in Oregon
The Civil and Human Rights Committee of SEIU Local 503, Oregon Public Employees Union sponsored and hosted a talk by Communist Party Vice Chair Jarvis Tyner, Local 503 retiree activist Ann Montague and union organizer Bob Novick on Friday, August 8 in Portland, Oregon.
The forum was held to reflect on past civil rights struggles and to tie these to the present political moment. The panel featured three slightly different perspectives on the past and on the Obama candidacy. Communist literature was briskly distributed. One woman who attended took a number of items with her for her non-union paper mill.-

They realize that Obama is far more committed to creating new jobs in the "Green" industry than McCain will ever be.

Rasmussen hit the last election on the head, but its worth noting that may be because of how he weighs party id more Republican then other pollsters and Bush/Cheney/Rove turned out just about every single Republican. Obama is emulating that strategy, at the moment, only the opposite (turn out every Democrat). This election will determine how correct Rasmussen is. He's a hell of a pollster, I'll say that right now, though I disagree with him politically.
Zogby has no slant. Its a laughing stock. It is the pollster that put McCain +5 while Obama was leading in every other national poll, if you remember. Zogby is just random, probably due to the new methodology I hear they're test running this year (that's hear-say, tbh).
I'm not a pollster expert, that's just mine and a few other people's opinions I've ran into (most knowing way more then me). My own opinions just tends to be observations I've made. Throw out everything SUSA puts out along with Zogby Interactive.

Would you let a medical intern who just graduated medical school to do brain surgery on your child, clearly based upon his handsome looks and his pressed shirts? This is a medical intern that during surgery with your child's brain exposed has to refer to his medical text books on anatomy. Or would you feel more confident giving that job to a well respected surgeon with 30 years of experience who is able to make decisions and think on his own two feet?
Think about this before you make a final decision about giving a man with practically no experience, a man who is unable to make a decision without a Teleprompter, the most powerful and the most important job in the world! If you make the wrong decision, not only is your child's life going to be affected, but your entire family, including your business, home, your job, your vehicle, everything!-

Actually, Senator Obama has finally demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that his mental acumen matches what one can reasonably expect by his economic policy preferences. He is as dim and clueless as a former VP named Dan Quayle. However, this is to be expected from a law school grad that lived through the fall of the Iron Curtain, something that happened because socialist economic policies (even those backed by deadly force like in communism or fascism) can’t put food on the tables of the people, and yet he can still believe that the ‘rich’ owe everyone else – or at least the guys in charge and their most easily bribed political flunkies – and that confiscatory taxes on only the least populated income brackets is justified. It’s a shame that there are High IQ Morons in this world, but I’m not enough of a sucker to vote for one. I’ll take the old Republican guy that can at least admit that HE HIMSELF isn’t the economic expert he is relying on for policy decisions. If it didn’t work for a country almost the size of a continent, in spite of putting guns to the heads of the people, there’s a good chance that taxing only the rich is a bad policy idea – it’s that thing called ‘experimental data’.
Reply
Now the hard part is convincing the old guy that he’s been taken for a ride by contemporary economists (the ones too educated and delusional to realize that they don’t have a clue), and that this scam has been going on since before the Great Depression. If all this can sink in where McCain and the general public are concerned, then there’s at least a chance that someone with a little insight can be hired to actually fix something or come up with a way for someone else to do the heavy work. Think about it, and vote down the guy that's proud about supporting the stupid stuff that turned the USSR back into Russia and scared China straight for a few months.

The reasons for the financial collapse of the mortgage market are varied. And the fault falls on BOTH parties.
Reply
However, one of the primary early reasons is Reagan's constant push to deregulate all industries. In his political philosophy, the government was the problem and not the solution to economic issues.
It also dovetails with his deep tax cuts and his ridiculous "Trickle Down Economics."
Strangely enough, he stubbornly refused to cut government spending - remember his 600 ship navy, his SDI (Star Wars missile defense), and other military pet projects.
Then we had the Gramm-Leach-Bliley bill passed in 1999 by the Republican controlled congress. This bill essentially repealed much of the protection from the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. The G-S Act prohibited the mixing or joining of commercial banking and investment/securities banking.
The Gramm-Leach-Bliley bill was passed by a veto-proof margin.
It is true that the Democrats were responsible in 2005 for blocking the latest attempt to regulate some of the mortgage industry.
But your post laying the blame entirely on the Democrats is disingenuous and unfruitful. The Republicans have much more blame in the history of deregulation.
This immense problem needs a bipartisan effort to resolve. Both sides need to acknowledge their mistakes. -

They can say whatever they want, but it's likely based on what the McCain people told them. Let's not forget that the last time they claimed high numbers and said a sheriff told them those numbers that the sheriff said he did no such thing and that the numbers they were claiming were "highly unlikely." -

Please speak only for yourself. In my mind Palin is a 50 year setback for me. I believe a woman should have a right to choose. I believe my children deserve sex education in the schools. I believe that it is possible we are ruining our planet so I choose to error on the side of caution. Palin is a very backwoods person. You are the maddest dog out there. If you ever learnt the history of the Roman Empire, you would understand that Obama is here to bring down the American Empire. Obama is a plant long seeded in America just waiting for this day. And fools like you have been so stupid not to see that America's political system is being exploited for its destruction; and with idiots like you, America will go down the drain just like Rome.
Are you blind? The Iranian president steps his legs on American soil and insults the US president; and American media are there clapping for him. If an American said something just like that anywhere in the middle East, they will be dead in 10 seconds.
Muslims have the RIGHT to open up mosques in America but Christians must hide in order to pray in most Arab coountries. America's downfall will come from its senseless politics. In Kenya, no one without both Kenyan parents can run for any public office but in America, a dog born in Maryland can become president.
America's enemies have tried to bring down America by open war without success; and now they have figured out that the best way to bring down America is from within via America's senseless democracy. Obama is a plant. The end of time for America is approaching. Obama will destroy America.
Russia will be the next world power. Watch this. Fools

The one thing at this point that bothers me the most is WE STARTED A WAR! Sen. Obama voted against the war which by the way I HAVE (2) nephews fighting over there under the false pretense which we were fed!
When is someone going to discuss Sen. McCains lack of integrity! I was shocked to find out what he did to his 1st wife and family! The woman was crippled and waited for this man and he repayed her by returning home and repeatedly cheated on her! When he figured no one really gave a d~$# he left her and the kids! He applied for the marriage license to Barbie Macain before his divorce was even final!
Yes, bring up Bill & Hillary, I'm talking about a man who would abandon a woman who was faithful, almost died and left crippled for the rest of her life and his only comment on McCain REVEALED was I take total responsibility for the failure of my marraige! Well I guess you haven't because it's the measure of a man!

McCain wants to make permanent the tax cuts on income, estates, and capital gains that the rich are enjoying from the "temporary" tax cuts that Bush pushed thru. McCain wants to drill for more oil and make the profits of the oil companies greater. He has consistently voted against investment and tax credits for alternative energy sources that would decrease our dependence on oil from nations that hate us.
McCain wants to tax the health care benefits that corporations give to their employees.
Obama wants the tax cuts to simply die and revert to the previous marginal tax rates that existed before the cuts. He wants to decrease taxes on the middle class and the poor and raise taxes on those w/ incomes above $250,000.
He wants to put more investments into alternative fuels and decrease our dependence on oil. He wants to subsidize health care so that everyone can participate in health care plans.
Seems to me Obama's plan is a clear winner.

John McCain's camp has shielded the first-term Alaska governor for weeks from spontaneous questions from voters and reporters, and went to striking lengths Tuesday to maintain that distance as Palin made her diplomatic debut.
The GOP presidential campaign, applying more restrictive rules on access than even President Bush uses in the White House, banned reporters from the start of the meetings, so as not to risk a question being asked of Palin.
McCain aides relented after news organizations objected and CNN, which was supplying TV footage to a variety of networks, decided to pull its TV crew from Palin's meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.-

Spare me the one-sided-biased left wing media, Sarah Palin is out doing exactly what Joe Biden is doing .... campaigning. Worry about Obama ... he hasn't had any press conferences for a while and he doesn't answer questions anyway. Why won't Obama tell the public what happened to the $150 million dollars of CAC money that was suppose to be for the improvement of Chicago school children. We know he gave some of that money to Jeremiah Wright for his church. We also know he refused funds to legitimate educational programs. WHERE"S THE MONEY? And you think this Chicago Politician with one of the worst states in the US is Presidential material. I rather vote for my dog.

Would you let a medical intern who just graduated medical school to do brain surgery on your child, clearly based upon his handsome looks and his pressed shirts? This is a medical intern that during surgery with your child's brain exposed has to refer to his medical books on anatomy. If you make the wrong decision, not only is your child's life going to be affected, but your entire family, including your business, home, your job, your vehicle, everything!

McCain didn't make much of his education, didn't succeed too well in the army (unless crashing planes and getting captured is success to you), failed in his first marriage, and then went on to the Senate where most fellow senators don't like him very much.
Obama graduated near the top of his class, was President of the Harvard Law Review, and rose very quickly through the ranks of the DNC, clearly showing that he has something special.

Obama has had a couple solid days of polling. Alot of folks think its a bounce. Rather, I believe that the economy issue bumped off the RNC as the last "major event" in the news cycle and tended to shift things back to pre-convention levels and an extra +2 or 3 Obama on top of that (as more people prefer Obama on the economy when compared to McCain). The extra points will fade out, the race will go to tie status with small Obama advantage and it'll stay that way unless the debates shake the numbers a bit.

That makes sense. I think the debates will solidify a McCain/Palin lead. If you look at the polls since Jan. McCain has gradually gained momentum with a jump with Palin and a hold with minor deviations. The polls that have showed minor loss have weighted the polls in favor of the dems... raw numbers put it back in McCain's court.
Reply-

A weighting in Democratic favor makes sense as far more Democrats exist in the United States today then in 1988 or even 2000 and the Republicans have not been keeping up at that pace. Today, more Dems exist then Republicans. Even Rasmussen, who is perhaps the best pollster out there, gives the Dems about a 5% party edge (Research 2000 does a +9 Dem and Gallup recently conducted a survey and came up with +10 Dem). Gallup, not sure if they do party id or not, except in the separate poll I just mentioned. However, the wild swings I see in Gallup suggests they don't (Rasmussen, the one with the closest party id, has little to no fluctuation). In the Gallup, Obama polls a consistent 2-3% above McCain.
Reply
One dangerous thing exists for McCain going into this debate. Expectations for him are high, as its a foreign policy debate. If Obama just ties, he wins. If Obama loses, its a tie. You get the picture. The same goes for Palin when she debates Biden. No matter what, people don't expect Palin to win against Biden. Her expectations are low, so people are less likely to be surprised if she loses. I think no one bounces after Friday. We are going into this baby with a statistical tie and an electoral map slightly favoring Obama at this point.-

They have a faulty weighted number. Not all registered democrats are democrats. Many republicans crossed party lines to vote for Hilary in a movement to keep Obama from getting the nomination. This number is significant and depending on the area could affect the percentages as much as four points. That's why I believe the polls are weighted too heavily in favor of dems ... wrong basic stats.

The same argument goes for Republicans, though. Party unity is about the same in each respective party the last time I saw the numbers. McCain got his base with Palin and Obama got his with Biden. After the conventions, most Hillary supporters decided to support Obama. Pennsylvania and New Hampshire are the states that Obama needs to watch in his column. IMO, Pennsylvania stays Dem (Bush did better there in polling data at this point then McCain) and New Hampshire probably turns red.
Reply
I don't believe alot of the polling takes high African-American turnout into account (which factors in Obama's favor, or any Dem for that matter) or newly registered voters into account (which is a huge number in some states). They can't really take enthusiasm into account, either. The Bradley Effect seems to have died out in the 90s, thank God for that, and that's the one thing that could save McCain at this point (short of unforeseen events). Hell, considering the support McCain is pulling and that its acceptable to vote for him, this isn't even a true Bradley Effect situation either, I believe.-

Whoops, misread your post. I was thinking of the southern Democrats who don't vote Democratic in national elections. Very tired.
Reply
Firstly, as I understand it Operation Chaos primarily effected Texas and other states that Obama has no shot in. Alot of the states Obama is picking up were largely untouched by that particular phenomenon.
Also, like I said, polls aren't accounting for quite alot of things at the moment that favor Democrats as well as Republicans. The structural make-up of the map is a Democratic dream and a Republican nightmare, at the moment.
Also, I should point this out. It is my understanding that most polls weighted by voter ID don't just look at the numbers that are registered as this, they just call people and ask how they're registered and use those percents. Like Rasmussen uses 6 weeks of data to alter the voter weighting as opposed to just raw percents provided by governments.

Colorado, the ultimate swing state (this election), has a Democratic Governor so I'd not be worried there. Ohio has the same situation (still think McCain is taking it). Florida is a lost cause, IMO, and McCain needs to pull out. New Mexico should go to Obama and Iowa too. New Hampshire is a state Obama needs to watch. ASK YOUR TV STATIONS WHY WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE THE BIGGEST RALLY IN ALASKA ? Alaska Women Reject Palin rally was held outside on the lawn in front of the Loussac Library in midtown Anchorage . Home made signs were encouraged, and the idea was to make a statement that Sarah Palin does not speak for all Alaska women, or men. The organizers had someone walk the rally with a counter, and they clicked off well over 1400 people (not including the 90 counter-demonstrators). This was the biggest political rally ever, in the history of the state. The Alaska Women Reject Palin rally was significantly bigger than Palin's rally that got all the national media coverage! Feel free to spread to anyone who needs to know that Sarah Palin most definitely does not speak for all Alaskans. The citizens of Alaska, who know her best, have things to say.

Let's be honest here. The fact that we at at war, fast becoming the most hated and distrusted country in the world, led for most of the last 8 years by a president and presidential staff who believes they are both above the law. the will of the people and aptly aided by one of the most corrupt, lobbyist-owned republican party in our nation's history and now in a financial crisis are not the issues that will decide this election. Instead, the decisive issues that will place this country in the hands of a now near doddering old man who once was a dashing american war hero like many others and a wet behind the ears female governor who as governor of a state served fewer people than the mayor of Memphis, TN, not because they are the most qualified but because they represent a more palatable choice on the basis of race and gender to a large segment of our population who places racial and gender prejudices above the needs of the country and the future of our children. In the eyes of the rest of the world the McCain-Palin ticket is a non-starter when placed against the Obama-Biden ticket. Heaven help us all as we start our Nov 4th treak toward third world status.

It is unbelievable to me that this nation would even consider electing McCain and Palin. Have we not been through enough in the past 8 years. Could you imagine her as president? This country has been the laughing stock of the entire world, for pretty much the whole time that Bush has been in office. Not only has he ruined our economy, but he has ruined our image abroad. Would you hand your 6 month old child, the keys to an F18? If you answered yes, then vote for Palin. This woman has no idea what she is doing or saying. She is just repeating, what she is told to say. And if you watch McCain, he can't finish a sentence without looking down at his scribble pad. What a great pair they are. WOW!!!!

Sarah Palin requisitioned quite a bit of money for Alaska's aerial shooting of wolves program. According to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, she is an enemy to animals there. Palin also led the way this past legislative session on measures to increase hunting in Alaska including by destroying in as cruel a way as possible wolves, wolverines and brown bears. She's a hypocrite!! Palin says she's pro-life but then contradicts herself by supporting and taking part in the killing of our animals and wildlife. Sarah Palin your a damned hypocrite!! You got a fight coming Palin!!!! She offered a bounty of $150 for each left front leg of freshly killed wolves. As mayor of Wasilla, she made rape victims pay for their own forensic evidence kits. She used $400,000 of state money to fund a propaganda campaign in support of aerial hunting. She is opposed to listing the polar bear as an endangered species because it might limit oil exploitation. While mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire the city librarian because the librarian refused to censor books. She is presently under investigation in Alaska for abuse of power. She is opposed to listing the Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species. She has no international experience and only obtained her first passport just last year (2007). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU Sarah Palin : Animal Killer!! She says she's pro-life but she supports, passes laws and takes part in the brutal slaughter of the wildlife. Palin is a freakin' hypocrite!! Hey Sarah Palin....You got a fight coming!!!! Obama "08"!!!!

McCain and Palin will come ahead to win. It's laughable how much the Democrats have messed this election up. They have everything on their side, but they will still lose. Also, any women who attack Palin have no integrity and are absolutely hypocritical.

Dear Governor,
Please disregard my letter of resignation from the US Senate. As you know, I was defeated last night in my bid for the Office of the President of the United States. Damn that sounds good; unfortunately we're in for four more years of McSame.
On a positive note, I will be serving the Great People of Illinois for an indefinite period as their senator, and I intend to cast as many votes "Present!" as I possibly can.
I do have one favor. Please get a note to Sen. Durbin and ask that he stop trying to out-stupid me. It's clear by now that in this regard, I'm more than out-classed by all three of his brain cells.
Very Best Regards,
Senator Barrack Obama -

I always felt that John McCain never completely got over his long years as a POW in Vietnam--not an experience you can easily forget. Noone has observed whether this man still suffers from PSTD and whether his explosive temprament and impulsiveness makes him qualified to lead our country. His selection of Palin, out of the blue, made me think that could be suffering from PSTD--it was not a considered choice--really it was sexist. Palin will not be prominent in his administration-she may not want to live in Washington--hot muggy Washington at all--she may spend most of her time in Alaska with her family--so much for a strong Vice President. McCain picked her because if he is elected-he will put her out of the way--except when he needs a rhetorical barracuda to cut down his critics.

I believe in the debates Obama will have to tell truth, because when he's lying it's so obvious. The truth is forever,a lie is short lived. All that stuttering, and stammering is from making it up as you go.When you stick to the facts you stay on tract. If he had known for sure we only had fifty states,he would have never even thought of a different number.I can see now why him,and Williams Ayers were unsuccessful trying to improve education in Chicago.Of course that wasn't their real interest trying to bring America down was first, foremost.

Lordy, lordy,I can't see Obama letting Biden participate in the debates,if he's going to drop him anyway,I'd do it now. Here's a man who just put president Roosevelt in office three years before before he was elected, and put him on national television thirty years before it was possible. He has told a cripple man to stand up, he say's if you don't volunteer more of your income to the rat hole, your not a good American.I personally think there is a little drain bamage here.

This is good stuff! A lot of funny comments. The question everyone has to think about is, "Do we want the McSame S**t for another 8 years?" Or do we want someone who has new ideas and intelligence to guide us? If people put aside prejudices and fear of the unknown long enough to use the logic side of their brain, they would see that voting for Obama makes the the most sense.

Sarah, "is" the Republican campaign. She's the only politician, currently, who's bold and truthful enough to get things done. Let her at the financial breakdown, problems. She'll take away all the assets of the former CEO's of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, and all the failed heads of company's that are poised to take trillions of dollars from the American Public. Sarah will take them down a peg.

Barack Obama would have us believe that lax regulation and deregulation in the form of the Glass-Steagall Act are at the root of the problem. He’s wrong on both counts.
First, as detailed by two AEI gurus, the answer is closer to home–or to the House and Senate, to be exact. The nub of the problem they argue in convincing fashion were Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae which jumped into the sub-prime mortgage market with abandon:

McCain lost this election in late August when he caved in to pressure from the cynics in his party and chose Palin. He could not have known how bad she would be. Her appeal to the base ONLY highlights what an embarrassment the base has become to the GOP. These aren't the small government, fiscal conservatives who built the party. These are the ignorant yahoos who believe dinosaurs roamed the earth with cavemen 6,000 years ago. Palin is one of them, only better dressed.

Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, while part of the sub-prime problem, cannot explain away 62 TRILLION DOLLARS IN FAKE CDS WEALTH with their several hundred million dollars in bad loans. The DE-REGULATED BANKS did that. And MANY bad loans have nothing to do with Freddie and Fannie.
