I don't think Mc and Palin want to debate Obama or Biden period. They are doing everything in their power to get out of it. The economic crisis is all the more reason to debate, to see who has the best ideas to try to fix it. Mc has maintained that there is no crisis for so long, now it's hitting them dead in the face, with Mc being directly linked to Timmons of Freddie Mac.. He certainly doesn't want that to come out in a debate!
I hope Obama doesn't fall for this.

Yeah, I know. It's terrible how McCain is making Obama look bad by doing the job he's getting paid for - working in the Senate.

At least ONE of the candidates is.

I'm not anti mccain, OR pro obama, but it reminds me of when I used to not do my homework. And I'd stall, and stall and stall and then if not by the grace of god, it would snow and Id have an excuse to not do it when it was due. :D

There was a time during this long campaign season where I saw Obama as the candidate with all show and little substance. That's certainly turned around since the conventions. McCain is the one pushing all the noise and nonsense and Obama is the one with substance. I'm not even sure I need the debate. I may just go ahead and vote early and try to tune out for the remaining few weeks.

I don't know why McCain is so fearful of the debates. George W. Bush came off as an idiot and still became president - the dumbest in history, but president nonetheless.

Obama is going ahead with the debate, McCain or no McCain. He will have the opportunity to present his case to the millions of American people.

As for McCain, if he is a no show, millions of Americans will have no clue what he will do as President, if a serious crisis happens. One thing they will know, he cannot handle multiple crisis at the same time.

            He is too old.
