Sarah Palin requisitioned quite a bit of money for Alaska's aerial shooting of wolves program. According to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, she is an enemy to animals there. Palin also led the way this past legislative session on measures to increase hunting in Alaska including by destroying in as cruel a way as possible wolves, wolverines and brown bears. She's a hypocrite!! Palin says she's pro-life but then contradicts herself by supporting and taking part in the killing of our animals and wildlife. Sarah Palin your a damned hypocrite!! You got a fight coming Palin!!!! She offered a bounty of $150 for each left front leg of freshly killed wolves. As mayor of Wasilla, she made rape victims pay for their own forensic evidence kits. She used $400,000 of state money to fund a propaganda campaign in support of aerial hunting. She is opposed to listing the polar bear as an endangered species because it might limit oil exploitation. While mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire the city librarian because the librarian refused to censor books. She is presently under investigation in Alaska for abuse of power. She is opposed to listing the Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species. She has no international experience and only obtained her first passport just last year (2007). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU Sarah Palin : Animal Killer!! She says she's pro-life but she supports, passes laws and takes part in the brutal slaughter of the wildlife. Palin is a freakin' hypocrite!! Hey Sarah Palin....You got a fight coming!!!! It won't be the supporters that will out number the opposition 2 to 1, it will be the rigged voting machines that will give McCain the advantage if he has any chance at all.

Obama decked McCain tonight, and, McCain didn't get up. When Obama related the financial crisis to Bush and McCain, and, McCain didn't respond but talked about how both parties are working together on the problem, I knew the old man was rocked hard by Obama and wasn't coming back. McCain SHOULD have fired back by pointing out how the greed of both parties contributed to the fall of America, but, he didn't. This showed a LOT of weekness. Obama decked him and he didn't get up. It was down-hill after that for McCain in my book. I think McCain is finished.

Lincoln said that you could fool some of the people ALL of the time. That explains the dedication of the far right of the GOP. McCain says that he can cross party lines to achieve progress, his posturing on Thursday indicated that he couldn't cross over the distance within his own party and stopped progress cold.
Interesting how the GOP leadership wants the Dems to take care of the financial problem since the GOP member greed will not allow for any compromise.

After watching last night I'm certain that Barack Obama will be elected. Obama was concise and on point. John McCain seemed to be drifting.

We'd better pray that common sense prevails, because if the Republicans manage to cage and steal yet another election, I think we'll see rioting in the streets! And then God help us...because I don't think our country can survive another four years of war and Bushonomics.

this was the debate that McCain was supposed to win and instead Obama came out on top (not by much, but on top). McCain kept trying to make it seem as if Obama didn't understand the issues, but it was crystal clear that he did, so McCain's feeble attempt to paint Obama as naive tanked.

the next one, on the economy, will be even worse for McCain since its his party that drove us into this ditch. and the VP debates will be more entertainment than anything else.

add to it McCain's circus antics this past week, and it simply ain't looking too good for the right. and the polls are reflecting that.

I watched the debate disliking both candidates. After watching, I have come to dislike McCain more and approving more of Obama. Obama handled himself more professionally and carried himself as a world leader should be expected to be. He kept his composure while McCain took what Obama said and twisted it, he was only hearing what he wanted to hear. McCain was incredibly redundant in most of he said and he tried to appeal to people through various statements such as his ending remark of his P.O.W experience. He also kept referencing other people, we do not care what General Perez thinks, we need to care what you think McCain. Sometimes he gave a deaf ear to his competitor and kept talking, even ignoring the moderator. While Obama respectfully tried to interject, but composed himself maturely and edged the moderator to ask the next question due to time restraint and the knowledge that he was not able to correct the record. The biggest flaw I saw, was the basis of what I call "The First Rule," people only hear what they want to hear. Those who can go above that and hear the truth rather than what they want are those only fit to lead, because they see a broader perspective. McCain, only wanted to hear what he wanted to hear, and it was countless of times that Obama had to correct him. It came to the point where I was annoyed with McCain. An individual who has a narrow view and doesn't look at a broader perspective of the issues at hand is not fit to lead. It is early in the debates and hopefully McCain can improve his position in my eyes, until then Obama 1 and McCain 0

What I noticed about the debate was how McCain never looked at Obama when making his points, how McCain never acknowledged Obama being right about anything, and how McCain didn't look at him during the greetings.

How is someone who treats their opponents like that going to be able to create consensus? How are they going to be able to talk to world leaders they disagree with?

McCain comes off as an crusty, cantankerous, bitter, bellicose old man who answer is to fight first and ask questions later.

McCain at least doesn't lie constantly and cover up his past. Obama hangs around known terroists, Ayers. His preacher's a racist! He changes his mind from day to day. He's clueless as far as foreign policy is concerned. We're in a financial crisis so he wants to raise taxes and build an even BIGGER government. What are people thinking?!?! Out of those two, McCain is the only choice that makes sense.
