Well. You can tell by the constant Bush support that somewhere around 27% of America constitutes the truly moronic, stubborn support of the Repugnant Con party.

After claiming he'd suspend his campaigning (and in reality use this as a campaigning ploy) then flip-flopping in less than 24 hours, I'm surprised anyone would support this insane man. Maybe his Alzheimers made him forget that he was suspending the campaign and not taking part in the debate until the mess was cleaned up? Or maybe the mess that he was referring to was in his Depends (tm)?-

Very good observation......I can't see how anyone can vote for Mothballs McCain..He is too stupid, irratic, wants to handle Afganistan like Iraq, thinks that Iraq was successful, the veterans don't like him since he does not vote for anything that would help him. He's tantrums are irritating, disgusting and franklyg scary. shows he is unstable to run our country...He couldn't even look Obama in the eye at the debates.. That's shows of deception...And don't even talk about his VP.....A village is missing their idiot...Call Wassela!

Nope, sorry, gw, you got it wrong. ALL the polls of American voters are showing Obama with a clear lead nationwide. Then again, you Republicans know a thing or two about hijacking elections at the last moment. How many of the electronic ballot machines are rigged to print out McCain as the winner no matter what the voters say?

Sorry, still a bit miffed that if it were not for gw stealing the election in 00 and 04, we might not be in the financial or war messes that we have today.-

something the republicans NEVER talk about is how they stole 2 elections in a row and then have the nerve to call us "whiners"!
i lived in florida in 00. that is precisely when i learned that wrong can win out over right. "oh thank god! the supreme court will settle this thing and put these louses in their place." wow was i wrong!
these folks wouldn't know "fair" if it was tattooed on their forehead. they'll "win" at any cost, then after cheating and stealing their way into office, they actually STRUT as thought they honestly won! they're poised to do it again so it will come as no surprise that no matter what the exit polls say, they'll find a way to elbow their way into the white house again just to finish the united states off once and for all... then find a way to blame the "liberals" for the carnage THEN charge the taxpayers with the funeral expenses. -

Our financial situation has been inherited from Clinton. Remember the bill that said "everyone deserves a house even if they can't pay" ??? A house is not a right, it is something that we work for and PAY for. That bill that forced lenders to be lenient on people even if they could not pay their mortgage is what started this mess in the first place. This has been about 10 years in the making. Sorry, it did not happen over night. No matter what the left winged, liberal media would like us to believe.

The Communists are the ones who believe in Socialized Reforms. Socialist beliefs are the basis for Communist platforms. If the Bail Out occurs, you then would have a socialized economy, where the government would rule capitalism. I'm not saying that I totally agree with capitalism 100%, but, moving to a socialized economy and socialized medicine would only bring us within a hair's breadth of Communism. That is something that millions of AMERICANS died to keep from happening.

It is obvious that you along with McCain get your facts from the Three Stooges. I bet your favorite is Curly because I heard from a
Mccain Republican that he's the one who always gets hit in the head. Sort of remind you of yourself? The problem you have with Obama is that you don't want an intelligent President, especially a black one. You don't want any kind interruption, you just want to go from one dumb Republican President to another dumb Republican President. He is so dumb that he boasts about the fact that he graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at college, a college that he never would have even gotten into if it wasn't for his father and grandfather. Those were the same connections that he used to become a Navy pilot.
In his acceptance speech, he spoke a lot about his time in Viet Nam.
He sort of left out the fact that he dropped Napon bombs, in many cases on innocent men, women and children but this is what he actually said about himself, "I thought I was tougher than anyone. I was pretty independent then, too. I liked to bend a few rules, and pick a few fights for the fun of it. But I did it for my own pleasure; my own pride. I didn't think there was a cause more important for me." "I fell in love with my country when I was a prisoner" Da! Do you have to be a Prisoner of War to love your country? Believe me if he didn't leave his first wife ,when they were still married, to have an affair with multi-millionaire Cindy, with her father's connections, he never would have become a U.S.Senator and running now for President of the United States. May be he'd be a pilot for FedEx ,may be watching Three Stooges movies while flying the plane. May be not, he can't multi-task. -

Putting Country Last
Reply
.... That's a long way of saying that it is simply unpatriotic--it's an insult to flag, country, and all the things that McCain claims to hold dear--for McCain to hold this financial crisis hostage to his political ambitions. McCain doesn't know a thing about finance and is no position to help work out an agreement. If we do suffer a serious bank run, or a run on the dollar, it can be laid directly at his feet. As I said to friends last night, if McCain had been president at this point, I would have wanted to impeach him. ...

Sarah Palin requisitioned quite a bit of money for Alaska's aerial shooting of wolves program. According to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, she is an enemy to animals there. Palin also led the way this past legislative session on measures to increase hunting in Alaska including by destroying in as cruel a way as possible wolves, wolverines and brown bears. She's a hypocrite!! Palin says she's pro-life but then contradicts herself by supporting and taking part in the killing of our animals and wildlife. Sarah Palin your a damned hypocrite!! While mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire the city librarian because the librarian refused to censor books. She is presently under investigation in Alaska for abuse of power. She is opposed to listing the Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species. She has no international experience and only obtained her first passport just last year (2007). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU Sarah Palin : Animal Killer!! You got to be kidding. Bush takes this country to war based on lies, proven
Reply
that he did lie, and the people still voted for him. When he first ran he was supposed to bring morals an ethnics back to the white house, Bush was not even close to doing that in fact he did the opposite. Anybody who would vote for a person like that is stupid. Mccain has lied and lied again and again, no substance just an empty suit, and he is this close. The american people in my opinion are incredibly stupid. The msm does not point out that the people are as dumb as they should.

Obama decked McCain tonight, and, McCain didn't get up. When Obama related the financial crisis to Bush and McCain, and, McCain didn't respond but talked about how both parties are working together on the problem, I knew the old man was rocked hard by Obama and wasn't coming back. McCain SHOULD have fired back by pointing out how the greed of both parties contributed to the fall of America, but, he didn't. This showed a LOT of weekness. Obama decked him and he didn't get up. It was down-hill after that for McCain in my book. I think McCain is finished.

Mutania, you're a McCain supporter, I know. Just pointing that out for everyone. I think we saw the same debate (McCain got some good stuff in, btw, its not finished yet, but McCain didn't manage to "stop the bleeding" so to speak and he needed too). In the end, the important thing is, how each looked to the low info voters. To those, Obama came off the more Presidential. Every focus group I've seen so far agrees with you on who won this debate, at least the Independents do, and all the flash polling immediately after gave Obama a clear win as well among Independents.

Lincoln said that you could fool some of the people ALL of the time. That explains the dedication of the far right of the GOP. McCain says that he can cross party lines to achieve progress, his posturing on Thursday indicated that he couldn't cross over the distance within his own party and stopped progress cold.
Reply
Interesting how the GOP leadership wants the Dems to take care of the financial problem since the GOP member greed will not allow for any compromise. -

After watching last night I'm certain that Barack Obama will be elected. Obama was concise and on point. John McCain seemed to be drifting.

We'd better pray that common sense prevails, because if the Republicans manage to cage and steal yet another election, I think we'll see rioting in the streets! And then God help us...because I don't think our country can survive another four years of war and Bushonomics. -

this was the debate that McCain was supposed to win and instead Obama came out on top (not by much, but on top). McCain kept trying to make it seem as if Obama didn't understand the issues, but it was crystal clear that he did, so McCain's feeble attempt to paint Obama as naive tanked.
Reply
the next one, on the economy, will be even worse for McCain since its his party that drove us into this ditch. and the VP debates will be more entertainment than anything else.
add to it McCain's circus antics this past week, and it simply ain't looking too good for the right. and the polls are reflecting that. -

I watched the debate disliking both candidates. After watching, I have come to dislike McCain more and approving more of Obama. Obama handled himself more professionally and carried himself as a world leader should be expected to be. He kept his composure while McCain took what Obama said and twisted it, he was only hearing what he wanted to hear. McCain was incredibly redundant in most of he said and he tried to appeal to people through various statements such as his ending remark of his P.O.W experience. He also kept referencing other people, we do not care what General Perez thinks, we need to care what you think McCain. Sometimes he gave a deaf ear to his competitor and kept talking, even ignoring the moderator. While Obama respectfully tried to interject, but composed himself maturely and edged the moderator to ask the next question due to time restraint and the knowledge that he was not able to correct the record. The biggest flaw I saw, was the basis of what I call "The First Rule," people only hear what they want to hear. Those who can go above that and hear the truth rather than what they want are those only fit to lead, because they see a broader perspective. McCain, only wanted to hear what he wanted to hear, and it was countless of times that Obama had to correct him. It came to the point where I was annoyed with McCain. An individual who has a narrow view and doesn't look at a broader perspective of the issues at hand is not fit to lead. It is early in the debates and hopefully McCain can improve his position in my eyes, until then Obama 1 and McCain 0

Boy, you hit it on the nose....I also noticed how Mothballs McCain could not even look Obama in the eye...that is a sign of deception and lies....Mothballs McCain even smurked a lot when Obama was speaking this was rude and condecending. Obama was more mature and treated Mothballs with respects. His point about talking to our enemies is a much better plan. Why spill one drop of American blook when you can talk it out. McCain is a bully and just wants to be a "bully" on the work scence. He hardly said a word at the WDC Bailout Meeting are we suppose to think he can actually speak to world leaders? And his pick for VIP.....A village is missing their idiot! Quick call Wassella....

What I noticed about the debate was how McCain never looked at Obama when making his points, how McCain never acknowledged Obama being right about anything, and how McCain didn't look at him during the greetings.
Reply
How is someone who treats their opponents like that going to be able to create consensus? How are they going to be able to talk to world leaders they disagree with?
McCain comes off as an crusty, cantankerous, bitter, bellicose old man who answer is to fight first and ask questions later. -

McCain at least doesn't lie constantly and cover up his past. Obama hangs around known terroists, Ayers. His preacher's a racist! He changes his mind from day to day. He's clueless as far as foreign policy is concerned. We're in a financial crisis so he wants to raise taxes and build an even BIGGER government. What are people thinking?!?! Out of those two, McCain is the only choice that makes sense.

The only thing JM can do is take a nap in the corner for good while. No matter what way you vote, they all raise taxes’. And that's true. I seem's to me JM supporter's are relaying just not getting it. If he's put into the white house, he will finish off with ASSHOLE BUSH LEFT OFF. And since where on the subject of Rep, Obama is not a raciest, He's not the one following a party that started with the KKK Rember that, or better yet do your home work.
