If you do some research, Carter and Clinton started the mess that we as taxpayers have to pay for. Not Bush. War yes, you can blame Congress and Bush. But, haven't we been safe ever since 9-11. It isn't because the Terrorist have not tried, it is because they were stopped. If you do some research you will find that the Democrats in Congress and Senate were making bundles in kickbacks from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with Obama being number 2 on the list of the big takers. In 144 days in the Senate, he ask for 143 billion dollars in earmarks. Most of which he would have recieved a kick back. I pray daily that God lead us in the right direction, but God can only do so much. With all of the voter fraud that is already being caught, we are in deep doo doo.

The Democrats try to pay for their programs. The republicons do not even try to pay for their pet projects. Historically the economy has done better with Democrats in control, while it has tanked when republicons are running things. Like now. Look at this chart.

Maybe the rapture will come along soon enough to save Sarah from further embarrassment.

Sarah Palin and the Rapture
Is this country ready for a president who is excited about and eagerly looking forward to the Rapture?
Anyone who believes in the Rapture scenario will likely interpret a catastrophic nuclear exchange as the opening scene of the Rapture. A believer in the Rapture with his or her fingers on the nuclear trigger might even be tempted to bring on the Rapture.
Presumably Sarah Palin believes in the Rapture. It is one of the doctrines of her religion, and she has nowhere disavowed it. Are Americans ready to sleep at night with a President who longs for the Rapture?
The Rapture doctrine has no support in the historic Christianity of any of the main traditions - Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Protestant. The doctrine of the Rapture is cobbled together from several obscure, unrelated comments drawn from the epistles of Paul the Apostle. No credible biblical scholar in two thousand years of Christian history has taken seriously the Rapture doctrine, millennialism, or anything similar to it.

Yes, Sarah Palin should definitely step down. She's an embarrassment to femininity and a source of ridicule for the Republicans, and it's only going to get worse from here. She can "use" her infant as an excuse and leave with dignity, the nation will applaud her, the Republicans can make a sound choice in their VP pick and perhaps still pull this election out of the bag, But NOT with her on the ticket. She's a liability. Perhaps she can try again in 10-15 years, when she has some political miles under her belt and manage to not make a fool of herself in national forums. I feel sorry for her, her ambition far outweighs her knowledge and her abilities. Back to Wasilla Sarah, where you can resume being a big fish in your very, very small pond.

She should not step down. McCain's bunch should turn her loose. She is a hell of a lot smarter than anyone on his team. But, she is a different type than the crooks and lairs them are use to managing. Let her say what she wants. That is why the American people loved her.Now they are changing her and she is uncomable and it shows.I am 65 and had never registored to vote until she came along. If we drops out I will not vote again.

I love how people think! I am not confident she was the right choice but at least we can give her the opportunity of the first debate to see how she stands up. We, the people" were willing to give Obama the benifit of the doubt. What is the difference. We have one seasoned presidential candiate and one Junior.
Reply
Why not one seasoned vice president and one Junior? What makes Obama for acceptable and Palin not?
Have you compared their records Obamaclaims all these proposals but where is the action record on the senate floor. His job is to serve and protect how many bills has he sponsored? Thoughts from Independent-Undecided female from Texas -

Call me prudent but Sarah was done for as soon as she said (paraphrasing this so don't point fingers for not getting it 100% word for word), if Russia moves into Georgia we'll go to war with them...though she did apologize, a world leader shouldn't have to apologize for mistakes such as those. They need to be an example the people must follow, and naivete and the apparent inexperience (or the hunger of power) whichever people decide it is, is not what we need. I do agree, in maybe 8 years she should come back after she composes herself.

But hey if anyone else has any evidence to support against this statement, I am willing to read anything so that I can gain a broader understanding of different points of views.-

She was referring to Georgia as a NATO ally, and went on to explain that the NATO alliance is a mutual defense treaty, which it is.

Compare that to Obama, as an Illinois state legislator, stating that a preemptive strike against Iran could be necessary: “In light of the fact that we’re now in Iraq, with all the problems in terms of perceptions about America that have been created, us launching some missile strikes into Iran is not the optimal position for us to be in. On the other hand, having a radical Muslim theocracy in possession of nuclear weapons is worse. So I guess my instinct would be to err on not having those weapons in the possession of the ruling clerics of Iran."
Preemptive missile strike on Iran? Hmm...sounds so....Bushy.

Whether she wins or not, she will be a great comic relief feed for all the late night talks shows, especially SNL.

She will beat other Republican clowns, Dan Quayle and Bush hands down.
As for being qualified to being a President, I think she is an expert in economic and financial matters. She lives next door to a BANK and can see it from her bathroom window!-

Don't forget she is also a brilliant zoologist because of all the polar bears and penguins in her state. And an oceanographer because the ocean borders her state. And with the stars flying into Alaskas air space that means she is also an expert in astronomy. And with all the oil under Alaskan soil, she is obviously a great geologist. Being next to the north pole makes her an expert in Santa Clause as well. So that means she is the most charitable person EVER. Wow this woman is so accomplished. She might be the greatest person to ever live. She and McCain should switch places.

The question should be considering the age and health of John McCain is whether or not Sarah can be the President if called to duty. As VP her role will be minimal. John will send her overseas to represent the softer side of America. She will have no role in day to day operations. John asked her to join him for one reason and that was to get the womens votes. It's the only way he has a shot at the nomination.

I'm a Democrat but I was hoping for more from Palin. She's not VP material and I'm sure the rest of the world will or already sees that which is another moment of shame for the USA. I was worried on the possible Democratic VP pick until Biden was announced. Palin came in as a "wow" of wonder but now more so as a dud.

It is scarey to think Palin could preside over the nation if something happened to McCain. Considering his age, that is a serious consideration. McCain was playing political games choosing her to attract Hillary supporters. That does not show good judgment on his part. That is not the way putting country first!!! Together the ticket spells DISASTER!

Sarah Palin is not the nice, wholesome hockey mom people think she is. She is ambitious, underhanded, and a prop for the neocons. You can't blame the media or the " Liberals" for her awkward interviews. She wasn't a good choice for Republican VP.

Palin a self proclaimed Dog with lipstick. This woman is proud that she shot and Killed an innocent Moose, just like shooting a Cow in a Zoo. Also, she has pictures with the Dead moose to prove that she really killed the defenseless animal?
Reply
Palin is so very proud that she likes to kill animals, skin them and finally eat their Flesh. Husband know as dude enjoys in the same family activity?
Palin is very proud to let all women know that she does not want any woman to have the right to Choose to have an abortion. This will set us women back at least 50 years.
McCain is a 26 year do-nothing corrupt senator as being a member or the Keating five savings and Loan Fraud that Cost hard working American Taxpayers Billions of hard earned dollars.
McCain and Palin two Nuts NOT Qualified to be President and Vice President...
What a Major Disgrace the republican Party could not have selected Honest capable Individuals.
How sad....-

What scares the hell out of me is how many people in here that really think she is the one for VP, who think she is smart. So where does that put them? Someone said she can really bring in a crowd, that does not say much for the average republican then.

It's plain to see you have never hunted moose. People here in Wyoming, like in Alaska, use moose, elk and deer as a very healthy food source that hasn't been shot up with antibiotics and steriods. Stay in the city and your local butcher shop but don't condemn us for supplying our own food. And I believe the pic was her with a caribou.

We shouldn't underestimate the power of contestant number 8 in her swimsuit. Ahmadjinidad would be toast in a swimsuit competition against Palin. Putin would be touogher to beat, especially if he wore red, but if you throw in her flute playing...... watch out.

Some of you are just underestimating Palin and her abilities. McCain is planning to have Palin meet with Ahmedinejad as a "pre condition" for diplomatic talks with Iran. Palin will open a dialogue with Ahmedinejad about home schooling, no sex ed, restricting women's rights to choose...the religious ruling leaders in Iran will love Palin's ideas which are so closely aligned with theirs. And this will be the beginning of our beautiful new friendship with Iran...

Instead; we are less safe, haven't found Bin Laden, destroyed the economy, but worst of all the Constitution and are laws are not being enforced. If you need to understand what Michelle Obama was saying- think about our standing in the world with Bush at the helm.
Bush is the worst president in history. There's absolutely no good reason to vote for McCain. McCain will hold us POW for 4 years if elected.
