One fan inparticular - the owner of a popular fanboard - led the charge, claiming to have inside contacts and information.
The "campaign" failed. Now the mambers of that board have discovered a few disturbing details about what was going on without their knowledge... and what has happened to money gathered, merchandise paid for, and prizes promised.

- 11K that was misappropriated for a month while the board was lied to about 'printing issues' that were holding up a Bus Ads campaign. The money was *finally* paid in full to advertisers etc. on Sept, 18th - the DEADLINE.
And it's believed that this only came about since the previously anonymous donor of the 11K came forward with details and information pointing to fraud.
- Missing money from the Moonlight Convention 08. Given the estimates from ex-Mods of the site, who left when their questions about surplus funds from the Con was ignored, about 8K is as yet unaccounted for.
- The tote bags with special 'Moonlight goodies' that all Con attendees were suppose to receive. I think 12 people have received a bag thus far. Nobody is sure what Leeser is doing with the surplus 130+ bags lying around her house.
- The vials that were promised to winners of the Moonlightline fanfic contest. Not a big deal, except that the winners [of which I am one] have messaged Leeser about the vials and have heard exactly nothing in return. Basically, we're never getting our vials. And the thread pointing this out was just deleted in its entirety.
- THR, Variety ads: We know how much was spent for each of these. We have NO way of knowing how much was contributed.
- Birthday presents for the cast of Moonlight: People like to donate in this fandom. Again, we know what the cast received, but we have no idea if that amount was truly spent on the gift, and also how much in total was donated.
So far Leeser has provided vague statements regarding her actions in relation to the Bus Ads. These are generally thought to be eminently wankish because they contradict the donor's story and make no logical sense.
To date, Leeser has not addressed the issues of the other cases for fraud. And I still don't have my damn vial.

It really is tragic to see a group of fans with such genuine love for a one-season show treated in such a shameful manner. It is a litany of deceit and broken promises. The fans who were duped, myself included, can learn some hard lessons and hope that those responsible will pay for their actions. It won't undo the wrongs committed, particularly towards the donor for the bus ads, but it will be some kind of satisfaction.

I don't understand why Lisa Gerry won't answer these questions. Does she really just hope it will all quiet down and she can continue on with her board as if nothing happened?

These are some pretty damning accusations.
Let us not forget that there are some other claims that suggest the DirectTV campaign was fictitious as well, with the true goal just to raise the member count on her Board so that she could continue to be "head vampire" amongst the fan groups. -

now we have a new sockpup... er... mod... who deletes topics left and right and gives no answers whatsoever. A little Leeser in the making, fantastic, yeah? The thing is, once again they demonstrate their own brand of twist-y logic, since deleting topics will not calm us down or make us leave any quicker. Instead we're even more inflamed and even more people are threatning to leave. -

This woman continues to hide behind her mods (At leastthe few she can keep on boadr with her regime) And only does things in secret.
I've seen the board today and posts are being deleted left and right and she's probly hoping that the complaints will go away. Don't let them go away.
She defrauded a nice lady and she's lied to everyone who was a member of that board.
She cliams to love the show Moonlight, but she does horrible things to good people in its name. The actors would be ashamed that their vehicle was associated with this I think. And they should do something legal about her using their name and image to make money and build herself a little empire of her own.
It's sick and there's no way it's legal. -

Now Leeser is attempting board control by using the Gestapo tactic of deleting threads started by dissenting board members, AND clearing out fanfiction threads of people who have not requested this to be done.

My original work has disappeared WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I am disgusted by this new twist on Leeser's attempts to control the information flow and to spin it in her favor.

Yes. Leeser is deleting accounts at an alarming clip and silencing anyone but her staunch supporters.
The mentions of things beyond the bus ads finally making an appearance are vaporizing into her special archive hidden cault where she has sequestered the original works of those fanfic writers who weren't fast enough to pull them all down before she did. -
