John McCain’s Katrina like Response to the Financial Crisis »
Posted By capj71 1 year, 3 months ago in NewsToday, Barack Obama accused John McCain of having a Katrina like response to the financial crisis. Later, while trying to deny this allegation the McCain campaign actually reinforced the idea by explaining that one of McCain’s advisors asked, “You are running for president. Can’t you do something?” That is John McCain’s idea of leadership.

No matter what you do someone will find fault with it. The political venom is truely unbelievable. Have we become a nation of kindergardeners? It sure sounds like it. With the trouble now facing us we need to focus on the task at hand. The Bailout which signals the end of a free USA, was narrowly defeated. But already the socialist are seeking to make another attempt. The voices of the Citizenry seem not to matter. Will you except slavery for you and your children? Continue the messages to Congress. At present they 300 to 1 against and still many in congress do not get it. Every working Citizen will lose. Banks and Wall Street are not Citizens they are Business entities. The government will borrow (at interest) the money needed from the Fed. The Fed will create the dollars out of thin air, devaluing the U.S. currency. Taxpayers will repay the loan. Much like the economy of the Carter years, except that the scale and damage will be about 300 fold more severe. Those business entities which cannot survive will be bought up in the market as is already happening. It seems the politicians, who couldn't run a business if their lives depended on it, have come up with a political solution that will compound the problem. Fasten your seat belts everyone. It's going to be a long, bumpy ride. For those who survived the Carter year, “you ain't seen nothing yet.”

fact is, Obama was in constant contact with Dodd, etc as soon as the crisis broke, and has been ever since. DOdd even said this during his news conference. He also said that McCain didn't call him once leading up to his phony suspended campaign declaration.
oh, and McCain was given the original Paulson plan last Monday. it was three pages long. on tuesday he was asked about it and he said he hadn't read it yet. thats some uurgency, McCain. what a buffoon.

as with katrina several other person filed to do their jobs, when a state is told a week out that a strong hurricane is headed your way and you live well under sea level logic tells you to get the hell out. Well people making millions of dollars a year decide to start financing home cars and anything else they can push, to people that cant afford with hopes of foreclosing and making even more money figuring the property value will go up then the ceo's of these companies should be fired, I know anyother job if you made such a costly mistake you would be fired. These lending istitutions are no better than the buy here pay here car dealerships wich thrive on selling cars time and time again.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO QUOTE SOMEONE, IT WOULD BE FAIR TO MAKE SURE YOU STATE IT ACCURATELY. MCCAIN DID NOT SAY THE ECONOMY WAS FUNDAMENTALLY STRONG. MCCAIN'S QUOTE WAS "THE FUNDAMENTALS OF OUR ECONOMY REMAIN STRONG". HE IS CORRECT! THE FREE MARKET AND CAPITALISM DO A GREAT JOB OF CORRECTING ITSELF WHEN THE "GIVE A WAY" CONGRESS DOES NOT INTERVENE. IF YOU LOOK BACK AT THE ECONOMY BEFORE WE HAD A DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED CONGRESS, YOU WOULD SEE WHY WE SHOULD ALL BE YELLING "CHANGE BACK"!

Well, among several reasons for the democrats that voted no are the lack of "teeth" on the limitation of ceo executive pay after a company fails, and that the mortgage renegotiation for Americans in foreclosure was taken out by Republicans. As for the Republicans who fought to get the mortgage renegotiation taken out, but not set higher and stronger limitations to what CEOs get when the companies fail, it is a very clear example of what they think about the American working class- they really don't think about us.

And, sadly, many Americans think that they do. As for McCain, he is a liar. Palin as a vice presidential candidtate is an idiot. She is smart in her own right, but definitely not qualified as a vp candidate. She can't even bs her way through to even sound like she halfway knows what she is talking about. What she is doing at this point is placing her own political future in jeopardy as a result. Most people know when they are not ready for certain jobs.

If the Bailout is such a good deal why haven't the Democrats passed it by themselves and kept all the Glory? There is another question that comes to mind here. How much of this boondoogle is going to Foreign banks? If you have followed foreign news and stock markets, especially those who are blaming the USA for all the world's problems (Steinmeyer ), their markets, which are in worse condition than our's, suddenly seem to act as if the money is going straight into their accounts.
