That is one person's opinion. Anyone can put together a film of half truths to sway opinion. That's how propaganda works.
All the Republicans do is point fingers at the Democrats when they had complete control of this country for 6 years. Why didn't they do something about it then instead of pointing fingers at things that happened 30 years ago? Because they can't take responsibility. That why. Everything was going fine until energy prices hit the roof and the dollar deflated in value because of Republican's spending on the Iraq war and Haliburton.

    As I stated before, anyone can make a movie with half truths and make people enjoy it, if it's what they want to hear. 4 1/2 stars does not make the film the whole truth. If it did, than you should have enjoyed the Michael Moore movie. Even the "Roadrunner" movies with Wiley Coyote would get over 4 1/2 stars.

        I never said this man put in false information, I said he is giving half truth. The half truth is not putting in all the information that caused this mess to happen just as a propaganda film only shows what they want to put across but does not address the whole picture. It only shows the one side. In other words, half of the problem because both sides are to blame and housing loans aren't the only problem. That's why Wall Street is losing money today. Speculators are cashing in to pay loans they made to play the market.
        Time for me to go shopping for food.

  Actually, the demand for food internationally skyrocketed at the same time as energy prices spiked. The Republicans didn't controll the international factors. Actually, the Dems are voting to continue spending money on Iraq.

    The CRA was responsible for rebuilding many communities and not just the black neighborhoods as you would like to point out. Republicans make it out as an act to force loans to blacks but that was not the only purpose of it. nuff said.

      You are right, and it worked for a while, but some community organizers (Obama) started suing the banks to force them to make risky loans.

  WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO MAKE THINGS BETTER verses pointing a finger?
  
  We elected these people -- the Dems have been pulling the strings for the past two years, we had 911, war on terror, Katrina, the world tilted 2 degrees, global warming, God ripped out of the schools and a good standard of living for the past 220 plus years. Now all of a sudden - it is pay day and no one wants to write a check! I am going to pray more for our leaders, work harder to give to the poor and needy more, cut my life style back to what is necessary to make my life fit in what we are being dealt and move forward very carefully.

    Funny you didn't mentioned the Republicans pulling all the strings for the previous 6 years that these things happened. Why didn't the Republican congress pass laws to put God back in schools? Because they play the religious right for fools.
    I just wish you guys would make up your mind. Do you want the bill passed or not? Personally I myself don't give a hoot.
