Obama Wants NRA Ads Banned »

Posted By RedRiverJ 1 year, 2 months ago in Political News

Earlier this week, the National Rifle Association's Political Victory Fund released a series of radio and television spots to educate gun owners and sportsmen about Barack Obama's longstanding anti-gun record. In response to the NRA-PVF ads, a clearly panicked Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are doing everything they can to hide Obama's real record by mounting a coordinated assault on the First Amendment.

I kind of suspect that these tactics might backfire badly.

Looks like he's giving us sample of how he will treat dissenters in this country if he gets elected.

Why are you worried about this man. Its an issue that will pass. Come November 4, Obama will be back, working for the senate.

The good people of America are not going to vote for a far left liberal. Calm yourselves:)

Even my Obama friends have been alarmed by the news I've sent them about his attacks on free speech.

You know, I actually liked the man until he did this. Even the smarmy pretense that the recreational AK-47 is the same as the fully automatic assault rifle in the acceptance speech seemed more like it stemmed from ignorance than misrepresentation.

But Obama's website comes right out and says he wants to permanently ban not only these, but many other popular sporting firearms.

Many citizens are so clueless, they seem to be under the influence of the bodysnatchers. Will they wake up in time?

SUICIDE. NRA needs to address the increase in the number of shotgun suicides by white men. The numbers are rising yet the NRA never addresses this issues. In my area there have been 3 shotgun suicides comitted by white men who were hunters. NRA should be a responsible organization and find out why their members or potential members are killing themselves with the guns they are trying to protect.

My Dad was a hard core democrat, he had several guns, but not once did i feel that he had an obsession with guns.
What is it with republicans and their obsession with guns, war and killing? You all are downright eerie!

so it is the NRAs fault that people who own Shotguns and cant handle the real world anymore take the cowards way out and just happen to use the gun the own to kill themselves ????? so is it the NRAs fault when a vicious evil person uses a gun to rob or kill someone ???? or should it be the person take blame for what they do with the gun they own???? how about acutally keeping the murders in jail or better yet actually killing them if they get the death sentence, and realizing that it is not the NRAs fault if someone is too much of a coward to deal with life and thinks its better to kill themselves and destroy their family in the process.

Obama said that there are "two realities about guns" in the United States, one including lawful gun owners, hunters, and sportsmen and a second that involves the flow of illegal handguns and automatic weapons into cities such as Philadelphia, where they are used by "teenage gang-bangers."

"Surely, we can come up with a system that protects lawful gun-owners, but at the same time tries to do something about kids getting shot," he said. "That is, I think, the job of the president is to reconcile this tradition of gun ownership in this country, with some basic public safety concerns.

"The bottom line is this: You got a rifle, you got a shotgun, you got a gun in your house, I'm not taking it away," Obama said. "They can keep on talking about it, but it's just not true."

Q: What do you call an unloaded rifle?
              A: A stick.

Q: What do you call an unloaded handgun?
              A: A rock.

My point is, no politician has to take guns away to render them useless. In the last five years, I have watched ammunition prices double. Now, reloading supplies have caught up to that increase. Gasoline prices have also doubled in the last five years, and EVERYBODY is upset about that.
The problem I see is: When guns and ammunition are so expensive that the average citizen won't want them, the criminals will still see them as necessary tools of their trade. Just like truck drivers who are forced to pay exorbitant fuel prices or stay home.
Violent crime isn't about guns, it's about people. If the government plans to legislate morality, then we have a problem that only guns will fix.

Just remember the 2nd Amendment guarantees all the other Amendments and 0bama is will start with the first and second Amendments. To reinstate the so-called assault weapons ban is a joke. Assualt weapons were banned in the 1934 national firearms act. They only want to ban guns that look like assault weapons. And he will do away with your right to carry a concealed weapon. There is no way I would ever vote for 0bama.

Wow every time Obama screws up somebody else is blamed.Reminds me of the Clintons, and if Bill's girlfriend had used an apron they would have got away with it.Hillary said it didn't happen, and when pressed by a reported she said if it proved to be true there would be hell to pay.Well the blue dress came back from lab.proving the allegations were fact.Who did that witch blame, none other than the vast right wing extremist.I guess a republican dragged her fat butt into the oval office, while another forced them to do the nasty.
