    LOL!!!!

It just shows that the NRA is not really concerned about "Gun Rights" ... they are simply a magnet for every American who sees Government as Bad.

Obama has no interest in gun legislation. He said as much in the debates. He doesn't want to be involved with Red Herring Hot Button issues that take his energy away from issues that really matter ... like fixing the mess 8 years of George W. Bush have given us.

This is what I like about Obama ... he's stayed away from all these 'Wedge Issues' that divide our nation ... that divide us as people.

"Old School" Republicans like Johnny Shapeshifter McCain try to knock Obama is this same, tired old way ... and Obama just doesn't fall for it.

In fact, Johnny Shapeshifter USED to behave like Obama ... he USED to be a Straight Talker ... but now embraces these Divisive Tactics ... (Strategy? ... LOL!!!)

Look, the Morally Vacant ... those who call themselves Christian Conservatives ... will say or do ANYTHING to keep Obama from being elected.

How do we know this cabal is Morally Vacant? Because of what they say.

How can you claim to be a Christian but who fight FOR war ... fight FOR Republicans who Lie, Cheat, Steal ... who FIGHT to keep kids from getting Health Care ... Defend those who pollute ... Defend those who commit harm to our Constitution ... ... ... ?

    See?

The fact is, Barack Obama is the ONLY candidate talking Moral Values.

Barack Obama laid out his whole persona in the debate ... we know that he wants to return America to it's Christian Values.

    REAL Christian Values.

NOT the FAKE Christian Values of those who threw Jesus under the bus and replaced Jesus with a Morally Vacant Hardline Political Ideology.

So ... keep throwing up your Red Herrings. They only work for those who already hate Government ... in other words ... they only work for those who hate The United States of America.

They only work for those who can only see America as great if She can invade another nation.

They only work for those who can only see America as great if She forks over her treasury to the wealthy.

Think about it ... when all you can do is push Fear and Smear ... you really don't have anything positive to give America.

    Sad.

S397 bill used in the ad is called, the Firearms Manufacturers Protection bill. It has to do with civil liabilites involving manufactures, dealers, and distributors and not the banning of guns. I could not find any amendment that refered to the banning of guns. The ad is false so I can see why Obama might be upset. My mother use to say "If you keep telling a lie it doesn't make it true, it just makes it a bigger lie"'.

S.397 deals with gun manufacturers liability when someone uses one of their products to rob, kill or maim. That is the equivalent of saying that Captain Morgan and General Motors are responsible when some drunken a$$ drives his Corvette onto a crowded sidewalk and kills somebody. Apparently Senator Obama thinks that would be OK, because he voted against the bill.

He can not hide his voting record in Illinois. I took the time to look it up. I read his remarks on the bill for people who had taken out a restraining order to be granted a concealed weapon permit. He voted no on that bill, and in his remarks he clearly stated he felt it was against the safety of the people of Illinois for anyone to have guns. He IS anti-gun ownership. If he were to say he has had a change of heart/policy since his time in Illinois, I wouldn't call him a liar. However, a liar he is.

The first thing the Nazis in Germany did was to ban gun ownership.

Now the obama campaign has asked for partisan prosecutors to search out 'all misleading and false comments against Obama' and threaten prosecution. They are paying special attention to NRA ads because Obama does not want to face any more charges, especially the advocating of seizing all gun owners weapons. But he probably is aware that none of this will go to courts, he just wants to intimidate news media into refusing the ads. And that will accomplish his purpose too. This is the same approach taken by another famous politician. Adolph HItler.

Actually ... the FIRST thing they did was to hone their skills in Propaganda!

They even had a name for it ... they called it "Schnelles-Boot".

Republicans and Neo-Conservatives call it by it's English name: "Swift-Boat".

And this perverted, twisted piece of propaganda is a fine example of this philosophy.

Gun Owners of America Ratings for John McCain

                2000 C
                2002 C
                2004 F
                2006 F

"Nowhere is McCain's chicanery and duplicity more jeopardous than in the area of the right to keep and bear arms. On issues relating to the Second Amendment, John McCain is a disaster! For example, the highly respected Gun Owners of America (GOA) rates McCain with a grade of F-. McCain's failing grade is well deserved.

John McCain sponsored an amendment to S. 1805 on March 2, 2004 that would outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows. According to GOA, the provision would effectively eliminate gun shows, because every member of an organization sponsoring a gun show could be imprisoned if the organization fails to notify each and every "person who attends the special firearms event of the requirements [under the Brady Law]."

John McCain also sponsored an Incumbent Protection provision to the so-called "Campaign Finance Reform" bill, which severely curtails the ability of outside groups (such as GOA) to communicate the actions of incumbent politicians to members and supporters prior to an election.

The GOA report of the 106th Congress reveals that out of 15 votes relating to the right to keep and bear arms, Senator John McCain voted favorably only 4 times. Put that into a percentage and McCain's pro-Second Amendment voting record is a pathetic 27%.

In addition, GOA warns that John McCain supported legislation that would force federal agents to increase efforts in arresting and convicting honest gun owners who may inadvertently violate one of the many federal anti-gun laws, which punish mere technicalities, such as gun possession.

For example, if John McCain's proposed legislation were to become law, a gun owner who travels with a gun through a school zone or who uses one of the family handguns to go target shooting with a 15-year old could be sent to prison. And a person who uses a gun for self-defense could be sent to prison for a mandatory minimum of five years."
