Started out his career with Paktel in 1989 then proceeded to USA in 1992 to pursue MS, and subsequently worked for the CDMA technology pioneer Qualcomm for 11 years in various capacities. He returned to Pakistan in 2005 and worked for CDMA/WLL operator Telecard. Syed's also worked as CEO of AKNMTECH, the leading mobile content/VAS company in Pakistan before joining Mobile Network Portability Database as a CTO
