We need to build wind farms and a few new nuclear power plants. The next step is for electric cars that we will plug in at home. Battery tech is coming around- look at the ever shrinking cell phone battery. Electric motors require no oil to run and no oil changes. Plus it is easier to control emmissions out put from a single coal fired electric power plant than 1 million gasoline powered cars. Forget the lousy Hybrid cars- they are just a flash in the pan to get us all used to the idea of electrics. Lets end our dependance on foreign oil!

we need a big battery breakthrough. McCain's 300 million prize for a leap in battery tech is a solid idea. the problem is the demonstrated battery science is about at its theoretical limit... -
