"HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt said there is no evidence of any imminent attack on the United States involving anthrax spores, but said it is important for authorities to have in place a way to get drugs to treat the bacterial disease in case such an attack occurs."

"The U.S. Postal Service carriers who would bring the antibiotics from door to door after an attack all would be volunteers who will have advance supplies of antibiotics to protect themselves and their families."
