With only about 65 Republicans voting for the bailout proposed by Bush and supported by McCain, how are we to take that? Was it a confidence vote for McCain's leadership abilities or a no confidence vote? If you're intelligent, you'll come to the correct conclusion. Toodles!

People are seeing that McCain is nothing but more of what we have had for the last 8 years. This country needs to move in another direction. Obama has the intelligence to lead us there.

I AM PRAYING DAILY THAT AMERICANS WILL MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR McCAIN-PALIN IN NOV, AND NOT OVERLOOK THE BIGOT REMARKS OF OBAMA....WHICH TRULY SHOWS A MAN'S HEART. AMERICAN'S, SEARCH YOUR HEART AND KNOW THAT OBAMA IS ALL ABOUT HISTORY MAKING--NOT CHANGE. WE NEED FAMILY ORIENTED, NON-RACIAL CANDIDATES IN D.C. OBAMA CANNOT UNDO THE HARM HE HAS CAUSED TO INNOCENT PEOPLE (RACIAL ATTACKS) BY HIS MINISTER...THAT'S HIS RESPONSIBILITY AND HE FAILED TO HANDLE IT. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO SERVE AS A U S PRESIDENT OF A PROUD AND RESPONSIBLE NATION. WE AMERICANS DESERVE BETTER.

Part of the problem for McCain is that he seems to talk down to every one. He shows no compassion for the problems that those of us who work every day see. The people we now see unemployed and struggling to raise their children and buy food and shelter. He does not seem to realize the fact that those of that are still working are worried about our jobs.
In short McCain does not seem to understand the people that make up the bulk of America. He apparently thinks we all own multiple homes and cars as he does.
I think McCain falling in the polls is rather predictable as he is not on the same plane as the people he purports to represent because he does not share the concerns of those people.
He wants to continue the war in Iraq when a large percentage of people in this country think we should terminate it. McCain says he wants to control spending while supporting the very policies that lead to one of the biggest spending sprees in history by the current administration.
The other concern McCain has not addressed is the curtailing of civil liberties by the same administration he sticks so closely to. I do not know if he does or does not support those policies.
Another problem is the fact that McCain wants to cut capital gains. I don't believe any one making mimimum wage or a family of four subsisting on 30,000 dollars a year is going to have much in the way of capital gains. Net gain for those people zero.
He wants a five thousand dollar tax credit for medical. If a family does not make enough to pay five thousand in tax or is not employed then again net gain zero. This says to me McCain either does not care about those people who are less fortunate or is so out of the loop he just doesn't realize they exsist.
In any case it appears to me that we do not need John McCain as our leader since he has demonstrated he only cares to pander to the rich and carry on a war that is unpopular.
Is it any wonder he is sinking in the polls and Obama is rising? Right or wrong people are looking to Obama to be something different than McCain simply carrying on the same trash we have endured for eight years.
