What Palin ACTUALLY Said. »
Posted By rosecityfriend 1 year, 4 months ago in NewsOur MSM seems unwilling and unable to give balanced coverage of the candidates. What viewers have seen of Gov. Palin in the last couple of week has been brief clips of her gaffes during interviews. She has also spoken articulately and with substance on important issues, and yet that footage has been passed over as not interesting enough.

[Palin's unedited response to Couric's question regarding the $700 million bailout.]
Reply
COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Allow them to spend more, and put more money into the economy, instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?
PALIN: That’s why I say I, like every American I’m speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in. Where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh, it’s got to be about job creation, too. Shoring up our economy, and getting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade — we have got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, competitive, um, scary thing, but one in five jobs created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation.
It's like she's thinking about three things at once, none of which actually have anything to do with answering the question all while trying to vomit out McCain's team's talking points. You don't have to make her look like a nut (beause she is, what with her being blessed against witchcraft and such) -- just read her responses to actual questions. -

No. She is a nut. They are just pointing out what she has actually done. She ACTUALLY pushed for abstinence only programs even though they have been proven not to work. Her daughter ACTUALLY is pregnant and unwed and 17. She ACTUALLY approached the library about banning books and asked what the proceedure would be. She ACTUALLY pushes gay men and women to deny who they are and try and "pray away the gay." She ACTUALLY shot wolves from a helicoptor instead of giving them a fighting chance to survive. She ACTUALLY said that "creationism" should be taught in publicly funded schools to innocent children.

What is wrong with pointing out what she did? Isn't that the platform that crazy Pat Robertson ran on last election? -

This video clip is really worth watching. Voters can certainly still choose not to vote for Governor Palin if they have legitimate differences with her views, but the fuller interview shows she's bright and thoughtful and not deserving of the ridicule that the msm makes her out to be.

Someone please tell me how you can look at these things and honestly look conservatives in the eye and tell us that there is not media bias....How ?
They want Osama to win SOOOOOoooo bad, they're willing to make sure the "other side" is either NOT represented or ONLY the negative crap is...
It's so pathetic to see this type of behavior from groups who CLAIM to be unbiased....
BS... -

I've seen the entire interview and I do have legitimate differences with her views. The interview did not show her to be bright of thoughtful. She looked worse than anyone could have imagined...(you can't make this stuff up) She is deserving of all the ridicule and more. Maybe she's really a blonde...(carpets match drapes?)

The main stream media, I'd rather call it the "old" media, has been losing readers, viewers and money for the better part of the last 10 years. The old media has laid off thousand of people yet they continue to put out the same old bilge and hogwash. They just don't seem to get it and what's worse is they don't even seem to care about the bottom line.

I told our local paper that if I could subscribe online, I'd do it. They are a top-rated outlet in the U.S. and extremely left-wing and even their editorials tend to show this. They simply don't get that I don't want to deal with newspaper delivery and keep contacting me because I check out their online version. I will NEVER want home delivery unless something happens and we have to go back to print-only media.

Palin on Evolution
Oh, I think it should be taught as an accepted principle. And, as you know, I say that also as the daughter of a school teacher, a science teacher, who has really instilled in me a respect for science. It should be taught in our schools. And I won’t deny that I see the hand of God in this beautiful creation that is Earth. But that is not part of the state policy or a local curriculum in a school district. Science should be taught it-

Interesting how you're talking about the MSM editing Palin's responses when you're doing the same.

"And in October of 2006, the Anchorage Daily News reported that Palin said the following about creationism at a debate:
"Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information....Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject -- creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides.""
John McCain's vice-presidential pick, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is an evangelical Protestant with a strong record of opposition to abortion and an openness to teaching creationism in the public schools. -

What about the students who aren't Christians? They should have to listen to that claptrap? Their parents should have to pay someone to teach lies to their children? Put sunday school in church where it belongs. Leave regular school alone to teach facts to our children.

No, Den, we're talking about the Unfairness Doctrine which would allow liberal democrats to destroy all their opposition. Do you hear any body on the right wanting to stop you liberal democrats from spewing your lies and hate? No you don't. Liberal democrat fear all opinions other than their own, we don't. Thomas Jefferson would be appalled by liberal democrats.

I hate to jump into this, but from what I have seen from Full length Interviews is that she says a lot of nothing, she just uses talking points to respond to questions, when the answers people are looking for need to come from the heart.
Reply
When she goes off script its a trainwreck. Oh..and she avoids giving straight answers.
(banning books, shooting wolves, abstinence, creationism, no knowledge of the constitution, praying for gas lines and 1 heartbeat away from the presidency, I have a feeling she will bounce America back to the stone age if she wins)-

Fedquip, you're smarter than this. She didn't ban books or even say she had any intention of doing so. She doesn't shoot wolves from helicopters, although that's a program of population control to keep them healthy. I'm an atheist, but if I didn't want to vote for a believer, I'd have no one to vote for. I consider it my contribution to first amendment freedom. She certainly does know some parts of the constitution. I don't think anyone in our government knows it all. I'll bet you don't know it all.

I think you're worrying about nothing anyway. Obama has the same edge Carter had. He's mostly an unknown at a time when the people are angry and want to send a message to Washington. I think he'll win, and I hope he'll be a good president, but I won't be holding my breath.
I remember when Obama was newly on the scene and had nothing to say--and he'd been in congress. First he adopted Hillary Clinton's platform. Then he studied and finally formulated his own. Palin is very bright and capable, and I think she will do fine.

I can see why her home stake was protesting against this so called Hockey Mom. She is Anti-American, Anti-Jew, Anti-Catholic, Anti-Black, Anti-Immigrant and definitely Anti-Intelligent....and we thought Bush was dumb....6 Colleges...Umh...We will certainly become the brunt of laughter in the world.

Oh please. She has had an 85% favorability rating in her home state, obviously from both Dems and Republicans. The msm always puts the protesters front and center, and it wasn't hard to find Obama dems who would turn on their Governor just to help him win.

ReTakeUSA: You've got your wires crossed,Obama's telling nine year old children America don't amount to much, the national anthem is an embarrassment, and if he puts hand over his heart he very well could offend his friends, mostly William, pig Ayers, and his pig face wife. When you get ready for a democrat, look for a real American, there not too many still associated with this slime party, but you can sure as hell beat what you've run the last three times

It amazes me how Mr. Obama can keep increasing his IQ from 128 last night to 137 today and then we see that the writer has Ms. Palin's IQ is at 116. Probably tommorow it will have dwindled lower than that, I guess it is based on the whims of the fictional writers who call themselves reporters.

This country better wake up soon and see that this great nation is now on the brink of extinction as we know it now. No longer will we be able to listen to a constructive idea without the media making sure that we hear only what it wants us to hear. No longer will we be able to say or do things that our forefathers died for. No, we have turned into a country made up of non-Americans, people who are more concerned in whats in it for me and to hell with anyone else.
Americans are a dying breed, we are now made up of democrats, republicans, and independants - me first, country last.
The day after the election is past, the fight starts for the next election. There is no support for our leaders, just criticism. Look at our wonderfull and nonproductive senate, sad isn't it? -

What Palin ACTUALLY Said?
Reply
well, tonite she sounded like a pull-string doll with only five or six answers to whatever was being said.
but one thing that she ACTUALLY said was that the VP is part of both the executive and legislative branches, which is dead WRONG.
she doesn't even know that the VP's job description is included in the constitution, right up front in Article 1. and now she thinks she's qualified for that job? what a joke.
Biden won handily, as he should have, so it wasn't much of a surprise. if you noticed, by the end of the debate the discussion was clearly focused on John McCain and his faulty policies. And that was Biden's doing. He coerced her into the corner and she spent the last half of the debate defending McCain while Biden jabbed away, not wanting a clean knock out (which might produce sympathy for lil ol' Sarah) but to clearly and obviously win on points. which he did.-

If anyone of you posting here had half a brain and did some honest research you would find out how wrong it is to support a man like B.Hossein Obama. Look at his roots and early child developement, He is an Islamic Fundamentalist in disquise. Wake up before it's too late. This man will transform the office of President into a training ground for the jihad and the ultimate Caliphate. Look it up if you don't know what it means. He is supported by everyone of this countries Enemies. Is that a good thing? your such fools.

Well, nowayman, she kicked a$$ in the debate, at least according to the same pundits who until tonight claimed she couldn't put a sentence together. And the point wasn't to convince you koolaid drinkers but to reassure the Republican base and appeal to the undecided. I'm sure she did both.

CNN poll shows people believe Biden did better then Palin by a large margin, though Palin did do better then people expected.
Reply
Someone did a great job coaching Palin, but she came across like a barbie doll repeating what someone told her to say. I also noticed she was reading her notes while speaking a lot more often then Biden was. Overall, Palin didn't even know what she was saying, she was regurgitating what someone coached her to say. -
