There really are too many points about this story no one knows. Maybe there is no family to help, what is her income per month, what are her other bills per month? Forget her age, I always thought when someone passed away, everything was put into an estate. If there were any outstanding loans, they would be paid off with whatever cash existed in the estate. The house would have to be sold either to an outsider or family member who wanted it. This would all happen BEFORE any inheritance would be distributed.

Honestly, this story is just a small picture of the major problems our country has. If you lived on the same fixed income for 25 to 30 years, do you think you could still afford to pay for the rising cost of utilities, medication, food and any other life necessities?
Do you really think it matters who makes president? The president no longer runs this country, it's the big time companies that control the government. The ones who can afford to contribute to "presidential compaigns" (if that's what you want to call it, I call it buying a president), and also who can afford lobbyists. Why do you think nothing has been done to help with the ridiculous gas prices and the unaffordable medical costs? Our country is run by greed. Why do you think there is no known cure for cancer? How many "Cancer Clinics" would have to close, how many specialty doctors would no longer have a job? Too many "important" people would lose too much money.
Until someone can stand up and take control, this country will continue to fall apart. More people will lose there homes, no one except the rich will be able to survive.
