Not all economists are created equal, but most know a superior plan when they see it.

It applies to healthcare as well.

McW's plans are not even his own, he is a consummate champion of the ideas of others, often the exact opposite of his own ideas from previous thought processes.
Depends on which way the wind is blowin.

n2n - mmm, sorry, but it's more like, ANY Republican that RUNS will get the Republican vote, period. Regardless of platform, conviction, morals, values, integrity, honesty, etc. etc.. The right wing spin-meisters "make it all better" regardless of the pathetic truth unfolding right before their eyes. Just look at the pathetic Front Page stories right now.....Karly, Wolf, et al are working overtime with their slanderous spin!

Four Nobel Laureates in Economics have also officially endorsed Obama for President:
Reply
- Daniel McFadden, 2000
- Edmund Phelps, 2006
- Robert Solow, 1987
- Joseph E. Stiglitz, 2001
and, while on Nobel Prize winners, over 60 Nobel Laureates in physics, medicine and chemistry have also officially endosed Obama for President. just thought I'd throw that in there.-

I'm beginning to believe the White House expected this bailout to sail through Congress without objection, (in their minds) the economy would be saved and McCain would be elected President and he would be forced proceed with the Grover Nordquist starve-the-beast slashing of entitlements and the free market economy will be given a little more time to solve all our problems.

As a person with two degrees, my opinion is that those Obama economists are just out to lunch. There is no way Obama's plan will help America in the long run. It will create a system of indulgence by increasing taxes, increasing hand-out programs, and increasing spending.

The only people who will feel the pain are the hardworking YES middle class (that's you no matter what Obama says now) people who are paying for it all.
The truly rich will already have put their money (and taxes) in other countries.
Remember the lessons of Rome (the huge empire that failed due to almost the same thing Obama is proposing). We should learn from history. -
