Palin says Obama 'palling around' with terrorists »
Posted By FairNBalanced 1 year, 1 month ago in Political NewsPalin told a group of donors at a private airport, "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." She also said, "This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America."
Palin, Alaska's governor, said that donors on a greeting line had encouraged her and McCain to get tougher on Obama. She said an aide then advised her, "Sarah, the gloves are off, the heels are on, go get to them."

McCain: Make-Believe Maverick
A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty .
This is the story of the real John McCain, the one who has been hiding in plain sight. It is the story of a man who has consistently put his own advancement above all else, a man willing to say and do anything to achieve his ultimate ambition: to become commander in chief, ascending to the one position that would finally enable him to outrank his four-star father and grandfather.
In its broad strokes, McCain's life story is oddly similar to that of the current occupant of the White House. John Sidney McCain III and George Walker Bush both represent the third generation of American dynasties. Both were born into positions of privilege against which they rebelled into mediocrity. Both developed an uncanny social intelligence that allowed them to skate by with a minimum of mental exertion. Both struggled with booze and loutish behavior. At each step, with the aid of their fathers' powerful friends, both failed upward. And both shed their skins as Episcopalian members of the Washington elite to build political careers as self-styled, ranch-inhabiting Westerners who pray to Jesus in their wives' evangelical churches.
In one vital respect, however, the comparison is deeply unfair to the current president: George W. Bush was a much better pilot.
THE NAVY BRAT - John Sidney McCain III has spent most of his life trying to escape the shadow of greater men....
BOTTOM GUN - In the cockpit, McCain was not a top gun, or even a middling gun. He took little interest in his flight manuals; he had other priorities....
TRIAL BY FIRE - McCain, who knew more than most pilots about bailing out of a crippled aircraft, leapt forward out of the cockpit, swung himself down from the refueling probe protruding from the nose cone, rolled through the flames and ran to safety across the flight deck. ... The damage to the Forrestal was far more grievous: The explosion set off a chain reaction of bombs, creating a devastating inferno that would kill 134 of the carrier's 5,000-man crew, injure 161 and threaten to sink the ship.
VIOLATING THE CODE - Soon after McCain hit the ground in Hanoi, the code went out the window.... Only two weeks after his capture, the North Vietnamese press issued a report — picked up by The New York Times — in which McCain was quoted as saying that the war was "moving to the advantage of North Vietnam and the United States appears to be isolated." He also provided the name of his ship, the number of raids he had flown, his squadron number and the target of his final raid.... -

Summing up its findings, the Times wrote: "A review of records of the schools project and interviews with a dozen people who know both men, suggest that Mr. Obama, 47, has played down his contacts with Mr. Ayers, 63. But the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called 'somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.'"-

Wolfie and OmegaTomato .... your desperation appears to be growing with every poll showing Obama assuming commanding leads.
Reply
Why aren't these insane demonizations working for John McCain the way they did for George W. Bush?
For one reason ... and I think you should view this as a compliment.
John McCain isn't as Morally Vacant as George W. Bush.
Look, I like Johnny. I supported him in 2000. What GW and Karl Rove did to him in 2000 was repugnant.
The reason Karl Rove's pernicious lies and propaganda worked for George W. is that GW is a Morally Vacant empty vessel. Look at how easily GW used his faith as currency to become elected!
True Moral Vacancy. And just think, while his 'architect' was seeking out votes from every Christian Evangelical in Red State America ... he himself (Karl Rove) is an atheist!!
So the entire Bush campaign was morally corrupt from the 'get go'.
Not so John McCain.
I see John as basically an honest guy who wants to be president.
But it simply can't happen. He's on the tail end of a Morally Vacant Neo-Conservative ideology that has bankrupted our nation.
He's in a bind because ... he can't simply DENOUNCE the present day Neo-Con ideology ... because there are just too many Right Wingers who actually still believe in Trickle Down economics and Military Expansionism as viable.
Plus ... we all know that Neo-Cons have made a Devil's Bargain with Religious Evangelicals that if the Evangelicals support the Neo-Cons, the Neo-Cons will stuff the Supreme Court with Justices devoted to overturning Roe v Wade.
But look, this story is stupid.
Only the most whacked out rightie buys it. And it makes Johnny look really, Really pathetic and desperate.
It's just not his style.
I would caution you from trying to promote this type of story. You are going to ruin Sarah Palin's chance at higher office after the election.
Consider this friendly advice from someone who's rooting for the Republican party to return to Reason, Rationality, and Patriotism.

And why should he explain today. What was done when Obama was a child is not relevent. At the present time Ayers is a well respected college professor and as such should be judged on that basis not what he did decades ago.
Reply
You know we have an ideal in this country that you can change bad actions and become good and respected. That applies to all and what one did before you met them should have nothing to do with your relationship.
Bottom line why this will not work. The people are worried about economics now and smear tactics will not change that or their opinion of who can resolve those issues. They are too smart to let this kind of smear overcome the fact that McCain has backed the lack of oversight and reduction of regulation his entire career that has led to what we have today. He talks a good talk about becoming a regulator, but still has to prove that by actions before people will believe him.

But William Ayers was not just some guy who “lives in Barack’s neighborhood.” He is a well-known and controversial Professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. And Obama wants you to believe that he knew nothing of Ayers views or politics even though Barack participated in public forums with him there? I don’t think so.
Reply
But that is not all. Barack also was essentially an employee of Bill Ayers for eight years.
In 1995, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge was created to raise funds to help reform the Chicago public schools. One of the architects of the Challenge was none other than Professor Bill Ayers. Ayers co-wrote the initial grant proposal and proudly lists himself on his own website as the co-founder of the Challenge.
And who did William Ayers, co-creator of the Challenge, help select as the new director of the board for this program? Barack Obama. Barack Obama was the first Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. This appointment came at a crucial time in Barack’s life.-

This is Obama's leadership experience folks. This is the big enchilada. He helped raise $60 million in 5 years (the goals was $98 million since the grant required a 2 to 1 match), spent $100 million and achieved...nothing.

Mentioning Obama's former minister will do nothing but harm McCain so take some advice and drop that line.
Reply
You start down that path and remember there are pictures of Palin's minister praying over her to protect her from witches and his biggest success was driving a 'witch' from a villiage in africa where she was 'causing traffic accidents'.
You start the minister thing and that issue of witchcraft which Palin has not disavowed will just drag McCain lower in the polls. -

I wonder how McCain didn't talk to Bush about this prior to the Republican Convention.
Hmmm.
It would have made a bad Republican Convention had it been revealed we were in a financial mess then. I wonder how Bush would have looked on the televideo. Also, with all the protestors being arrested outside I wondered how the economic crissis would have played.
McCain just kept his mouth shut and they played "a game" with him running back to DC to "help."

Bill Ayers was a civil rights activist in college. He is now a respected college professor. George bush was a coke head and alcoholic. John McCain was barely dragged through college by his dad's coattails before he started crashing planes. About the time all of this was happening, Barack Obama was 8 years old.

Most of the bombs the Weathermen were blamed for had been placed to do only property damage, a fact Mr. Ayers emphasizes in his memoir.
Reply
But a 1970 pipe bomb in San Francisco attributed to the group killed one police officer and severely hurt another.
An accidental 1970 explosion in a Greenwich Village town house basement killed three radicals; survivors later said they had been making nail bombs to detonate at a military dance at Fort Dix in New Jersey.
And in 1981, in an armed robbery of a Brinks armored truck in Nanuet, N.Y., that involved Weather Underground members including Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, two police officers and a Brinks guard were killed.

Aha, this shows how desperate McCain and Palin are now. What is next? Obama is the cousin of Bin Laden? Give me a break. If at all anyone who is playing hide and seek with the terrorists that is the Bush administration and it is that administration John McCain supported by voting for Bush policies 90% of the time. Every vote for the Bush administration's game was supported by John McCain. After all isn't it this John McCain who surrendered to VietCon and confessed to them that Americans are war criminals and we are doing war crimes in Vietnam? I don't think the lies of McCain will work in this era of internet and satellite television.

The Republican party had proven to America their incompetency to deal with solving crisis. They can only create crisis with their conservative ideology which is not much different than that of the Wahhabi ideology used by Bin Laden to throw ignorant youth to suicide and massacre. Throw them all out of power and ladies and gentlemen of America, lets regain the lost bliss of our policies of prosperity, liberty and peace. It is our duty to guide the world right. For that we must walk the right path for the world to follow us. Conservativsm is so evil, there is no right in that ideology. -

Ayres, the rich man's son, got off on a technicality. Associating with him is the same as associating with OJ Simpson who at least beat the rap in a trial (and finally got what's coming to him on lesser offenses.) The other terrorist is Dohrn, the wife, who praised Charles Manson the day after those murders happened. Those people haven't changed; they just got away with their crimes and flaunt it.

I hope Saracuda keeps saying what the MSM, in the tank for Obama, won't. Obama started this guilt by association tactic by linking McCain to everything Bush did because Bush's approval ratings were low. McCain has always been his own man. Two can play that game.-

McCain's campaign said that while POW he refused to be released out of order before his fellow prisonmates.
Below is a passage from "his original account," an account he can't change since it was aleady published:
"By the way—a very interesting thing—after I got back, Henry Kissinger told me that when he was in Hanoi to sign the final agreements, the North Vietnamese offered him one man that he could take back to Washington with him, and that was me. He, of course, refused, and I thanked him very much for that, because I did not want to go out of order. "

Look like Palin is an terrorist expert as well and she could sniff out terrorist Dick Cheney couldn't. She will become an even more powerful vice president than Cheney who will be most aggressive in pulling terrorist and those who connected to terrorists out into jail. No one will be exempted. It will tell the world how stupid America really is if we allow McCain and Palin in office. We will not stand a chance in the world arena with a President who feels a bomb over talking is the solution, as long as you don't tell them ahead of time and will always be able to come up with a good excuse to do so.
Reply
I dislike and fear the cowardly actions of terrorists as much as the next 6 pack American. But I refuse to drag myself down in the dirt, and their dirt overseas.
Citizens will have to flee their terrorist countries and look for safe haven, so I hope we're ready for them. We have to defend the soil of our country and our allies before we bash our way into any further ridiculous actions of the last 8 years.
If attempting to stop the actions of cowardly terrorists through dialogue is how our future President Obama wants to start, then so be it. He isn't a President on his own and I'm sure his Joint Chiefs will make it very clear to him what we face and what our choices are in defending our democracy and the democracy of our allies. He isn't just going to make it up as he goes.
So, shut up about a Presidential candidate of this country being a terrorist. New Orleans felt Bush was a terrorist attacking them during Katrina. Although I hated his lack of action on their part, I would hardly say he's a terrorist, but more an idiot, that they were forced to suffer at the hands of. -
