Unfortunately some are to unaware to understand that the US Senate is controlled, if they want, by the party with between 40 and 50 members. It takes 60 to stop debate and vote on any given bill thus we are in a position where when they want the minority can control what is voted upon thus preventing many things of value from every seeing that vote.

This is the same group that was constantly complaining that the other party when the minority was not allowing votes on judges of certain outside the mainstream opinions. At least during those years they only stopped votes on some judges not on the critical economic issues.
