We need a president that will restore our place in the world. Bring respect back to America. Someone who puts the people of this country first. I think that person is Barack Obama. He may not have all the answers but he has the energy and vision to move this country forward again.

This implosion of the American financial infrastructure is as significant, if not more so, as the events of 9/11. It seems, however, that America has not yet fully woken up to this fact. What it signifies is that the short-lived era of American preeminence, lasting only about 60 years, is over.

The political and economic systems it has tried to foist onto other nations around the world are naive, simplistic and flawed. This is the evidence of it. Many of those that have resisted it are the ones that will prove to be the most resilient through what now lies ahead. You have my sympathies. -

Neither Obama nor McCain can do anything if some fundamental changes in the american psyche does not take place. We must rid ourselves of the pervasive greed that permeates most of our corporations and large businesses. Money is not and should not be the only goal in order to be branded a success. The wall street gurus and CEO's cannot continue to ride monetarily over all others. We cannot exist as a moral and caring society when we allow individuals to make hundreds of millions of dollars a year and others working 65 hours a week for 10 dollars and hour. There should always be a graduated pay scale, however, the chasm of differences today is not acceptable.
