    My word for the week is "economy", which is NOT, as many believe, short for "he conned me". No, the word economy is actually far more complex. First it refers to the sound you make when you look at your account balance, "Eek!" attached to the Latin root "onomy", meaning a traditional system of rules or laws. As in "taxonomy", the traditional system of taxation or "astronomy", the traditional system of asterisks.
    You get the picture.
    So, "economy" is the traditional system of expletives hurled when you balance your check book.
    You can get a degree in it!

        If I may take your equation a step further tehranchick;

        Inflation=counterfeit=privatization.

        We have been told that the private sector can always operate more efficiently than the government. So why don’t we all get our own printing presses and print our own money, bypassing a wasteful government bureaucracy! Think of the billions we could save by closing down the treasury!

          I've wondered that sometimes myself. My $3 bills are really pretty artistic. And they fill a need. All I can say is that the government dislikes competition in that area rather intensely. They get testy, to say the least.

            I've printed my artistic $11 bills on regular, old, cheap paper I picked up at the local WalMart. They're actually very pretty, and quite sturdy. The image depicted on the front is Marty Moose. Sarah Palin has shown an interest in them. I may get the contract to print "Moose Money" for the great state of Alaska! For Every $11 dollar "Moose" bill; she has promised to pay $15. Her math skills are simply astounding. McCain/Palin 08!!!!

        I thought this explanation of the financial crisis was very good! Not exactly PG though, so I suppose that Uncle Jay can't use it!

          Loved GWB's luggage by the podium. Wonder whether he pays by the piece. Or whether he gets a last freebie ride on Air Force I.

              Bail outs' are what McCain is known for. Bush is just getting us ready for the latest and worst neocon pretender to become the rubber stamp for the destroying of America.

              Palin what a perfect name for what people are going to do if she becomes the VP. We will become more and more pale as we can't afford even the bare necessities.

              Yes these thoughts give the jitters and the Heebie Jeebies. LMAO hahhahahaa

              Thanks ind06

                Did Jay say that they were going to offer the Chicago Cubs a bail out?

                I saw this movie where some gangsters were printing money on a printing press...they looked an awful lot like Bush, Cheney & hey one of them looked like Greenspan! Is the Federal Reserve responsible as well? It's the new bailout plan...
