I've copied out the same quote too, Beau, because it sticks out as a sore thumb. It is true of course, at least in the short run, and I'm sure that's how the suicide bombers think too. One suicide bomber can kill dozens of other people with a fairly high probability, so it's an efficient method of waging war when all you have is some explosives and your own body. The problem is that it feeds this never-ending cycle of violence that results in more and more deaths. I wonder whether we'll ever reach a stage in our development when people start considering what's right and wrong instead of what's efficient.

FTA- Bombing saves warriors' lives by killing poor children. War makes money for the rich at the expense of poor children's lives. Capitalism bestows wealth and power on the few, at the expense of poor children everywhere, and the young of all species on earth.
