  I read about this connection a long time ago, but no one had written a comprehensive article until recently.
  
  The linked article I posted below also includes information that exposes Sen. McCain's land deals in exchange for huge campaign contributions.

    Well, considering that Sen. Obama has disavowed Ayers' 30-year-old actions on numerous occasions, you'd think it wouldn't be an issue. But apparently that's not enough for some people. It continues to be "news." It continues to be trotted out into the public, not only by "swift boat" type peripheral organizations, but remarkably, by both the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates of the Republican party!
    
    Sen. McCain, on the other hand, has as recently as last November, gone on record as saying he's "proud" of a convicted felon, convicted conspirator, unrepentant planner of bombings and murders, and contributor to the most egregious undermining of faith in the history of our country's executive branch. G. Gordon Liddy's treachery brought unprecedented shame to our nation. Yet Senator John McCain had a fundraiser at his house, and accepted numerous campaign donations from him. Why should we, the people, trust that Sen. McCain would not stoop to enlisting the services of such a treasonous individual if need be? If Sen. McCain refuses to distance himself from Mr. Liddy, and in fact refuses to even acknowledge his friendship with him...

        Why won't John McCain admit that he's "good friends" with convicted White House burglar and conspirator G. Gordon Liddy, as Liddy alleged in the article you posted below? Why won't he even acknowledge a reporter who asks about his relationship with Liddy? "Why doesn't the MAN come out and speak for himself since he is the one who has the long standing relationship with" Liddy? Why won't he even direct a spokesman to tell the American people on his behalf that he condemns what Liddy did in the past? What does he have to hide? Perhaps that he's fully willing to employ Liddy and his brand of treasonous behavior when the going gets tough? How can the American people trust that Sen. McCain won't turn to Liddy, perhaps even in this election, if he won't condemn the man's treacherous words and deeds?

        Because the MAN is very busy running for president. Just like John McCain's been too busy to denounce John Hagee.
        
        Or, more relevant to this article (and as techsupport said above), too busy to denounce G. Gordon Liddy.
