Comments for Man Shot Three Times In Street For Wearing Obama T-Shirt »
Posted By TimALoftis 1 year, 1 month ago in NewsA man told today how he was shot three times in a London street for wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt.
Dube Egwuatu was buying a mobile telephone top-up card in an off-licence when the gunman confronted him and glared at the top, which carries an image of the Democrat US presidential candidate underneath the legend 'Believe'.
The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him.

Are you the man that shot Dube Egwuatu?? Only that man could tell the real story why he shot Dube. Since Dube said he was shot because of the Obama image on the shirt that doesn't put you in position to question his story unless you're the one that shot him. -

Didn't you read the story?

FTA "The attacker then fired the gas-powered ball-bearing pistol three times, hitting the civil servant in the face, hand and shoulder."
It was a GAS fired pistol which is what we here in America call a pellet gun/pistol and the "ball bearings" are what we here in America call BB's. So assuming that the author of the story is correct that man was attacked by a gunman with a pellet gun loaded with BB's. Before you make a joke out of that, some of the high end pellet guns pack a powerful punch and if the shot had hit him in the eye, you might be reading a different story.

Palin's Racism: I Don't Mess With Black Men
It’s that character thing, Sarah Palin declares.
The GOP’s VP candidate defends her increasingly strident verbal assaults on Barack Obama as legitimate questions about the Democratic presidential candidate.
Well, for Charles Greg Royal, it’s that character thing also.
This internationally renowned jazz musician recently utilized the National Press Club in Washington, DC to recount a flirtatious encounter he had in Alaska with a woman who identified herself as Sarah Heath.
Royal said this encounter ended after a racist remark by the woman now known as Gov Sarah Palin.
Making that racist remark, Royal contends, coupled with Gov Palin’s disengaged relations with racial minorities in Alaska speaks volumes about her character.
“When you view what happened with me in the context with what is happening with blacks and other minorities in Alaska under Gov Palin, it is clear that what I encountered was not a fluke. It shows her character,” Royal said during an interview hours after that press conference in DC where he directs the American Youth Symphony, Inc.
While that racist remark reflects character, Royal said, the flirtation by a woman who did not reveal at the time that she was both married and pregnant speaks to “mortality and fidelity.”
Royal said that when performing with the Duke Ellington Band in Anchorage ....

Appears that she was trying to make out with a famous star until she found out he was considered black.
Reply
FTA "According to Royal, Heath’s response to his inquiry was, “Excuse me, but I don’t mess with black men.”
Royal said he told Heath, “I’m a black man” and Sarah responded, “But, you’re not really black.”
When asked how he could possible remember a brief encounter so many years ago, Royal said, “there are a lot of details I do not remember but the key triggers are things anyone could remember and when a person says “I don’t talk to black guys” when the black guys are not actually trying to date you or talk to in anyway that is not a dating comment but a racist one.”
All I can say is WOW!!

While you'll probably tell them they are not white enough? Your party, the Republican Party, is synonymous with racism. Most of the racist Democrats (many from the deep South) back in the 60s deserted the partry to join the Republicans. Have you ever heard "kill him" at sports events? Why do you think that has to be a literal death. Could it not mean that they wanted Palin to "kill him" with out performing him with words? Of course when Obama referred to the pig with lipstick and the crowd laughed very loudly it was not about Palin.

It's Palin doing the pallin'
Last Wednesday, Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home of a woman in Akron, Ohio named Addie Polk, in order to evict her. After 38 years in that house, Ms. Polk had fallen behind on paying the mortgage. It was so bad that the company that held that mortgage, Fannie Mae, had foreclosed. In fact, it was far worse than anybody knew. Addie Polk couldn't bear it any more. So, rather than be evicted, she shot herself in the chest. ... But I left out one detail. Addie Polk is 90 years old.
In the self-pronounced area of expertise of the Governor of Alaska—energy—the real experts of both parties are at a loss to figure out any way, even'drill, baby, drill', that might lower gas prices before 2018. We are at war in two countries and a lame duck President with no reason to check his own imbalance still has dreams of one more.
And a 90-year-old woman, trapped in the middle of a financial meltdown, shoots herself and she's still in better shape than the economy. Yet, the Governor of Alaska wants to talk about somebody Barack Obama doesn't know very well, and what this somebody Barack Obama doesn't know very well, did, during the year Obama was eight and the Governor of Alaska was in pre-Kindergarten.
And she wants to talk about Reverend Jeremiah Wright. And she doesn't object to being introduced with a reference to Barack Obama's middle name. Well, this is my suggestion. In much the same way we, America, in the corporate persona of Fannie Mae, have forgiven poor Addie Polk of Akron, Ohio.
We, America, also need to forgive poor Sarah Palin of Wasilla, Alaska. They are both in situations that are beyond their ability to cope. They are both stuck in a crucible caused by forces they cannot comprehend. They are both unable to understand what they are doing.
After stumbling through a clumsier version of it at Englewood, Colorado, the Governor of Alaska said Saturday at Carson, California:
"Our opponent is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country.”
She later defended the remark by adding this was an "association that has been known but hasn't been talked about.”
Governor, Conservative groups have thus far spent ten million dollars this year trying to make something, anything, out of the brief interaction on a charity board between Sen. Obama, and a rehabilitated former domestic radical from the '60s and not even Conservatives have been stupid enough to buy the snake oil, that this was either a close relationship or a nefarious one.-

Well, if you're telling William Kristol you want to talk about Jeremiah Wright fer sure! So, Governor you don't mind addressing whether this Pastor Muthee is a terrorist? Do you? We've told you before about Pastor Thomas Muthee.
He's the preacher who visited the Wasilla Assembly of God church a couple of times while the Governor was there, ironically enough, just about as many times as Bill Ayres has met Barack Obama and, see, there was this one time where Pastor Muthee actually laid hands on the Governor.
The problem for the governor is that in 1999 The Christian Science Monitor reported that Pastor Muthee had gotten his start a decade earlier in Kenya, in the Nairobi suburb of Kiambu.
Kimabu was crime-ridden. So this character Muthee showed up, and announced it was the fault of this woman in town who he had decided was a witch. And Muthee gave the witch a choice: either be saved, or get out of town.
And the woman initially chose none of the above, but this became less than a viable option when Muthee got 200 of the townspeople together and they decided, heck, you know, Muthee's right, she probably is a witch, and the next thing you know the police are raiding her house and reportedly shooting her snake because if she was a witch, the snake had to be a demon, and then the woman left town and everybody said crime went down and most of the bars closed and this is not only how Pastor Muthee got started but he's proud of it and he tells the story in his testimonial videotapes and people in that church in Wasilla where he laid hands on the Governor knew all about it.
And they think it was just a Joe-Six-Pack, Hockey Mom kinda thing to do, to let a guy who branded some woman in Kenya a witch, demand that God make some different woman the Governor of Alaska!...

I have heard "kill 'em" at a lot of events. It normally means that they are exhorting their team or person to overcome the opponent. At wrestling matches I have heard "Break his arm off and hit him with the bloody end of it." Do you think they literally meant that? Only at a time like this will people try to make it mean something else. The person was most likely telling Palin to "kill him" by attacking Obama with words and put him down verbally.

Historical Comparisons: Fritz Stern Publishes "Five Germanys I Have Known"
"Can It Happen Here?" is the headline of the NY Times review of the Fritz Stern's memoir:
In November 2005, Fritz Stern received an award for his life's work on Germans, Jews and the roots of National Socialism, presented to him by Joschka Fischer, then the German foreign minister. With a frankness that startled some in the audience, Stern, an emeritus professor of European history at Columbia University, peppered his acceptance speech with the similarities he saw between the path taken by Germany in the years leading up to Hitler and the path being taken by the United States today. He talked about a group of 1920's intellectuals known as the "conservative revolutionaries," who "denounced liberalism as the greatest, most invidious threat, and attacked it for its tolerance, rationality and cosmopolitan culture," and about how Hitler had used religion to appeal to the German public. In Hitler's first radio address after becoming chancellor, Stern noted, he declared that the Nazis regarded "Christianity as the foundation of our national morality and the family as the basis of national life."...

Is Palin Trying To Incite Violence Against Obama?
.... An even more basic question, perhaps: Is Gov. Palin trying to incite violence against Sen. Obama as part of an ill-conceived campaign strategy to change the topic from the economy at any cost?
Time will tell how law enforcement will respond, but one thing is already certain: the more Palin and McCain incite calls for violence against Sen. Obama, the more their chances of achieving a victory in November disappear.

"Terrorist" is now the operative word that's being substituted for "unpatriotic" or "unamerican". Same intent, just a different word. The concept of inciting hatred and fear for Obama is central to their push to obscure their dismal handling of the economic crisis and make this election hinge on character assassination than issues.

I don't support many of Bush's views, but I hardly think you can blame the state of our economy solely on Bush when Democrats have the majority in Congress. This whole housing crisis started with Clinton when he basically took out the Glass-Stegall Act and Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999. Yes, it helped our economy make record income for a couple years, but it killed bank and financial institution regulation which is a huge part of this mess we're in right now. Furthermore, Clinton pushed to reform the Community Reinvestment Act in order to "deal with the problems of the inner city and distressed rural communities" by offering them loans they cannot afford. I am all for equal rights, but if you don't have the money to pay for a home, don't give the loan! Most of these people were a guarantee default on loan payments, but the government forced banks to GIVE loans to these people that clearly could not afford them to be FAIR. I don't think it's FAIR that everyone should have to suffer from these STUPID people that are defaulting loans, but life isn't fair, so we'll deal with it and hopefully learn from this event.
I'm not trying to blame Clinton for everything, and he did do a lot of good for our country, but I'm trying to make a point that it takes a couple years for the effects of these type of economic decisions to show up. Bush has made MANY poor decisions as well, but he's not the one to blame for our weak economy. The whole government, greedy consumers running up credit cards and taking our loans, banks and financial institutions pushing loans they knew would default, among too many other factors to mention.-

I heard Biden say it in the VP debate and I heard Obama say it last night. when bush became president the budget was balanced and we had a surplus. 8 years later we are at record deficits and national debt has doubled. What both ignored and neither Palin nor McCain called to our attention was 9-11-01. Has everyone forgotten that day that we said we would never forget? Who's to blame for the economic downturn? The terrorists of 9-11 is a start.

But really, Palin and McCain couldn't bring up 9-11. Democrats can bring up the subject of 9-11 whenever they want, as Obama did last night, and it's ok. But when a republican brings it up, the media cries out they are using a national tragedy for political purposes.-

lloydm.. yeah, we liberal democrats need to learn our place and stay there.. Isn't that right? We should have sense enough to know that liberals and black people all belong behind bars, let the repugs have 0 adjusted gross income on their tax returns every year, and just make people who don't agree work themselves to death to keep you comfortable.

Ok, Republican Hypocrites. If, during a Palin campaign stop, someone in the audience shouts "Death to America," what would be your response and that of Palin's? Yeah, Now it's a different story, I'll bet. Any candidate running for the office of these United States must stick up for her principles. After all, even Obama had to apologize for Rev. Wright's dumb comments, remember? I guess we forget what we want to forget.

I think that this is absolutely awful, it doesn't matter if he is purple if you stop and think about it we probably all have black in us down the line. There are black people that are sweet as can be and then there are also nigers, there are also white people and there are also hosiers. I think that comment is absolutely awful it just shows how ignorant people really are. If they even had any sense, those are the kind of people that are very dangerous......

When I visited Jacksonville, Florida 10 years ago I made a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. There was a group of young men next to our table who behavied in an obnoxious manner to the point that we felt unconfertable since we were not white like most people there. I spoke to the manager and was kind enough to move us to a freindlier side where people were more civil. Bottom line, racism extists all over but, there is a balance that takes place when people like the manager do their part to ease the hate.

This whole thread was a test .

In the actual incident, a man was wearing a 'john McCain' t-shirt, and was shot by someone who said he hated white people.
For everyone whose opinion about the crime is not changed by this, - congratulations, you are a moral person.
You other people, - work on it. -

First they tell us it's ok for Obama to run with the likes of Odinga and Ayers.
Reply
Then they tell us that Odinga- and Ayers-like behavior is wrong.
When will liberals stop using the weather vane to detemine the moral and ethical flavor of the day? Conservatives are consistent: we believe associating with the Odingas and Ayers of the world is every bit as wrong as the actions of the shooter in this article. The poor, ignorant victim in this article has no clue as to the tragic irony that he has now lived out.
Maybe someday he'll learn not only to BELIEVE, but where certain beliefs lead.-

Look at McCains flip flops and associations and his treatment of his ex-wife (and his treatment of his current one as well) before you spew your usual BS.
Reply
McCain's associations are much more "real" than any of the crap you claim about Obama.

What confuses me most of all is why is this front page? The weapon of choice was a BB gun. Was a crime committed, yes. But any attack on a government employee is bad and should be punished to the fullest degree of the law. Unless the laws have changed, this is a minor crime in the UK. They have no hate crime enhancers in their legal system. An attack with a BB gun will be treated lightly at best.
