John McCain was the clear winner. Decisive comments, strategic opinions, clean record, strong leadership skills, magnanimous and best VP candidate selection.

Obama's inexperience shows. His lack of record of real decisiveness has been exposed. He surrounds himself with needs and associates and ejects all to the wayside when purpose has been served. He has a very questionable background of friends, leaders and groups that he has looked up to. He over ran his allotted time several times ruthlessly. A pattern of beat down talk is the only thing he can do and that's shaky at best. Poor VP selection.

I'll have to agree with the other reply comment - McCain was definitely NOT the winner to the debate. He STILL hasn't given the people any specifics as to how he'll "reform government," "clean up spending," "cross party lines to straighten things out," or help Americans "through his ability to bring about change." He was great at throwing out the generic statements, but failed to EXPLAIN HOW he'll make these changes. Obama was much clearer and GAVE specifics of his tax policy, health insurance policy, how he'll handle the war and improve our international reputation, how he'll help the middle class and bring about jobs, etc. I go on and on. The point is, Obama just didn't blurt out "canned statements" about himself and experience and his past relationships with government - instead he spoke about what he WILL DO. McCain is too busy blowing his own horn trying to "convince" us he's the right candidate WITHOUT providing us with any idea as to HOW he plans on doing it. It's time McCain gets down to specifics or he WILL lose this race. Right now, Obama wins hands down - the past two debates and even the Presidency.

If you fact check, both sides got caught out in some untruths. McCain used the 94 votes to raise taxes thing again even though that was debunked after last debate. I just wish they would let one or two minor party candidates into the last debate. It might help keep both the major party candidates more honest.

I think Obummer won it also, because McCain was just way too nice and dottering. I would have had fun if I were debating Obummer, and, Obummer supposedly has a 147 IQ, even though, a week ago, it was listed as 133 in a "Are You Smarter Than Obama" test. I noticed the same test claims Palin as having a 116 IQ. I think I know who is behind this test.

Did we watch the same Debate. McCool won, and I
do not put much trust in Polls. Obama did okay,
but I was not impressed. Tom Brokaw was terrible
      last night.

It looks to me like socialisim is what the u.s. wants. be careful
what you wish for. i've already stopped paying my mortgage and quit my
job...i am screwed if mccain wins...but i am living on happy street
if obama wins. i will no longer need to strive to be successful. just
kick back and wait for the obama entitlements to roll in. hell, i will
even get free health care. i will qualify for everything obama has to
offer as i live under the poverty line. how long will it take for
america to go bankrupt??? i will guess not long. as many others will
follow suit. thanks in advance to the few tax payers who will be
footing the bill. sorry, but this is what you are telling me you want
by electing obama as president. i will think of you all from time to
time while i kick back and live in the house and eat the food that
you buy for me. i gotta go put my hammock up now, it's going to get a
      lot of use.

I watched the debate live and the recorded copy I made. John McCain offered little substance to let the American people know what his plans and ideas were for if he becomes President. Mostly, McCain attacked Obama, personally and politically, even refer to Obama as, "that one". Obama offered much in the views of his goals as President and only resorted to attacks to counter McCain's accusations. He held himself in the dignity that is expected of a Head of State and always refered to McCain by name and/or Senator. Clearly Obama was the winner or both of these debates.

Over, especially the last few weeks, the McCain campaign has shown little substance and, instead have resorted to a strong, often very insulting and lie filled smear campaign. Instead of publically refuting and distancing himself from groups that are openly spreading false information about Obama, McCain and Palin hug and welcome these groups. Obama has often stated his non-support of groups spreading false stories about McCain.

With McCain not only will we get another GW Bush, we will also have the dishonesty of VP Cheney and the many disgrased and indicted liars of the Bush regiegm all roled up into one man. Oh yeah, we also get a clueless VP.

It is disgusting at the low tacit, that McCain/Palin are taking in the election. This shows how despearate McCain?Palin are. They know that if they say the right words to the fring kool-aide audience, they will gather votes. But these kool-aide drinker's are not a relaity of the average American. The las two days, Sara Palin, has been in the state of Florida. She fueled up the crowd so much that there were idiots calling for the death of Sen. Obama, and, to have him beheaded. Did Palin, stop and adress the audience that this not the platform that I or McCain are pushing for, NO!! THis smear campaign by McCain and Palin will worsen. I hope that the American will not buy this garbage. I have some problems with some of the Obama platform. But, as a life-long republican, I have been dissapointed by the actions of my party. The GOP is still making abortion an issue! GIVE ME A BREAK! Bush, and the right-wing koll-aide merchants (talk-radio host,) continue to lie about the surge in Iraq. How successful is the surge when, Americans continue to die and thousands are seriously wounded? Thje US has the weapons to win this war tomorrow but will not use them. It was said that the US used nukes on Japan to save American lives. But, the idiots in charged believe that American lives are that worthy today.
